And they're so proud of their sh+it+holes you start wondering where the confidence is coming from grin Like you'd think their villages are in the same level as Tokyo. Not many people migrate there so it's easy to tell lies. But there are people who go there for youth service and they don't have positive things to say about that part of the country like these potor yammerheads would have you believe. That says a lot! Nigerians are hungry. So If your place good or opportunity dey there, no matter what, dem go find the place. There is only one reason why no one migrates to that region, and It's pretty self-explanatory. They themselves are running away from there. Radarada!

just that igbos expose what to bad in their environment to raise awareness and get it fixed doesn't mean they're foolish.

The only south west state that can be compared to abia is lagos...

Again, something needs to be done for the entire south west environment
Oya we agree.

The people of osun are a beautiful people.

I won't want to insult or belittle them in anyway.

But the environment is not something to even discuss.

I have a few pics I took I would love to upload but they're 8mb too big for nairaland.

The only thing osun and south west has on the south east is GOOD FEDERAL ROADS

So relax my man.
Get your muddy potor self out of this thread. Thread is about Osun State, you couldn't help but bring your usual potor bullshit

ObalufonIII:
I’m weak, my egbon figured me out sha grin

I haven’t read an actual research stating they borrowed the bead stuff from us but archeological excavations in Ife come to mind. Old Ooni terracota and I think bronze works depict them to wear a lot of bead especially around the neck/chest area. Also, the red bead [Iyun] and blue bead [Segi] were Ife items of trade that we took to as far as Senegal/Ivory Coast [the kingdom/empire covering that geographical space many centuries in the past - I think Songhai] and Mali Empire. We can draw inference that Ife/Yoruba transferred the idea of beads as an item of royalty to Bini. Only royalties back then wore red beads. The Bini do not have a record [historically or archeologically] to have had a bead industry or traded in it. We gave them monarchy, arts and we may have as well given them beads.

If I nor see literature on this, na thesis wey person fit work on o, at least a journal article.

Obalufon III na congnomen wey I dey hope use if I become Ooni in the future. So nor laugh at me o, egbon grin
Hahaha. I feel you with the emboldened grin

Baba, nice one!

I burst laugh when I read your comment. This could be the beginning of a trend ‘Benin is no man’s land’ cheesy

I respect your belief though but I disagree that we share ancestry with the Bini folks. We only share monarchy and arts. And it was a case of superior [Yoruba] transfering to the lesser one [Bini]. Outside monarchy and arts, we have nothing in common. We have been the one giving them, and things we gave them are the reasons they are relevant today.
Elu na new one you carry come so oh. Ọbàlùfọ̀n III grin

The emboldened sounds interesting to me breh. Does it mean all those beads they use were borrowed from Yorubas?

And what might those "religious beliefs" be? They certainly can't have anything to do with Christianity, as otherwise Osinbajo wouldn't be enjoying the support he does. Maybe you mean most Yoruba people don't want to worship at the altar of "Agberoism and Stomach Infrastructure" ...

Southwest should support Fayose to prove they aren't asslickers?

Southwest should support Fayose because he's criticizing Buhari?

No wonder the country is a sh.it+hole. Someone who can't govern his own state.

Who gives a fook whether he's from the South-West. If you really love him that much, then beg him to come rule one of your potor states nah. Now speaking of slaves, there is no bigger slave than the one who was shouting Biafuro or death last week and suddenly supporting Atiku this week. Or is Atiku from Ivory Coast?

Heck! You've been on chains from day 1 grin Let me read out your history incase you don't know it.

Azikwe gobbled Tafawa Balewa's nuts in the first republic. Yorubas played opposition

Ekwueme did the same to Shagari in 2nd republic
Sylvester Ugo to Bashir Tofa in 3rd republic
Okadigbo to Buhari 2003
Ben Obi to Atiku 2007
Ume-Ezeoke to Buhari 2007

Need I remind you that Abacha 1million march was headed by a potor man? Arthur Nzeribe. And you have the guts to even use that word?

Sensei Chen, do they really want to fix Nigeria? That's the first and most important question.
If yes..... do they have the brainbox to fix Nigeria?
If yes..... does Nigeria have the resources to fix Nigeria?
If yes..... why aren't we fixing Nigeria?
Mehn...there are two words that answer all your questions.

Incompetence and selfishness.

Like I said on another thread, you can't give what you don't have. Most Nigerian leaders are dumb

I wish Nigeria would follow their example on free trade instead of doing all this protectionist nonsense. The ban list and forex restrictions are harmful. Then they dont address fundamental issues of productivity. Im not sure if the EU treaty the Ambassador advocating for is a good idea since i havent read it.

Refining and economic diversification is a must.
Breh, Belgium is too far sef. We have our Botswanan neighbours we can learn a lot from. But delusion of "giant of Africa" won't let us borrow sense

Just few days ago, I was reading about Seretse Khama, the former President of Botswana. You need to read how this guy transformed Botswana through mining and smart economic policies from one of the poorest countries in the world to the fastest growing economy in the world within 20 years.

I tell you bro, fixing Nigeria is no rocket science. We are just cursed with stupid people as leaders. Stupid citizens too are already pushing Buhari and Atiku for 2019.

one of the first steps to real liberation is not to build on lies and deceit. IPOB crumbled like a cookie because it was anchored on deceit. Fiction is a deceit. IPOB’s promise of an independent state of Biafra is a fiction
The miscreants just wasted our time. They are already campaigning for Atiku.

RomanceRe: please people should Be Marrying Ladies From The South West by MasterChen:
First of all, I'd have to agree Yoruba men in Lagos marry more outside than any other tribe. And it didn't even start today. Keywords. Yoruba, Lagos. Its all about demography

Even in that same Lagos. It's safe to say 6/10 Yoruba men marry Yoruba women lol. But tribalist go carry the odd ones for head cheesy I see a lot of Yoruba men married to Akwa Ibom, Edo and women from other SS states. Yorùbá men married Nupe women in the past. Heaven no fall

Potor men are just silly cry babies. And they are the ones that whyne the most about Yoruba men marrying potor women. Cos they feel threatened and insecure but they are afraid to confront their own women about it. Fookin dwarfs! They don't like it and it pains them to the bone grin. So they say things like "why don't you like your own women "and bla bla so Yoruba men may reconsider. No kids... we love Yoruba women, and they know it..

One even went as far as calling potor women who marry Yoruba men" leftovers" lol. They're so pained about it and the Yoruba men who rub it on their faces aren't helping matters grin

Funny thing is, you'll never see Yoruba women talking crap about how Yoruba men are marrying women from other tribes lol. They don't feel threatened or bothered cos they know what goes on offline. This stuff will keep happening. Y'all better don't kill yourselves...hehe. Purist potor women are also against it, but that's their cup of tea. I'm a purist myself, and I wish it would stop, cos we are beginning to have too many lost kids in Yorubaland.

Also, Yoruba men in other SW states don't even encounter potor women like that so why are you crying. It only happens in Lagos.

Lastly, no one forces anyone to marry from another tribe. If you don't like the fact that Yoruba men are marrying potor women. Tell your own women to stop accepting them. Simple! They are adults and they are able to make their own decisions. In fact, you should be calling out your own women for marrying Yoruba men

Stop boring us with this crap. Y'all ugly, insecure dwarfs have created countless threads on this subject. cheesy Grow up and move the fook on!

O dabo !
