Thank you very much, I wish I posted before now I would have gotten the needed advice instead of waiting this long, nevertheless, I will let her know in the best possible that I can express myself as soon as I can

For a friend, I'm posting it here because I would need mature advice

Please a friend need your advice

Mid last year, a female friend ask about my relationship status which I told her that I just broke up, she said she'll connect me with a friend which she did, the lady and I started chatting and a week or two after, we met, to be sincere she was a little bit below average in beauty, when we got back home she told me she likes me and asked if I like her too, I didn't like her to be honest but I don't know how I will tell her that she isn't as beautiful as I want. I'm not really about breast and all but someone just average but she's below par. The reasons why I said yes was because

1. I don't want to spoil her self esteem
2. I just broke up and needed someone to clear it off my mind because I was working from home and I do remember how we were anytime I'm free because I and the previous lady used to talk every day, we never missed a day until something went wrong so I needed someone to take the place so I was channeling the energy then to the new lady
Time went by so fast and now I would move out of the country soon and she's asking what we are going to do, I'm confused, I don't even know if I should leave the relationship.

Reasons why I don't want to break up yet

1. Where I'm moving to isn't a place with a lot of good choice for spouse for both gender, it's also lonely there, according to singles over there

2. This girl is very homely, we do see once a month and she would help with all the house chores, from laundry to cooking, I will even be the one telling her not to stress herself but she wouldn't hear me

3. I don't want to hurt her, she asked me sometimes this year if I wouldn't betray her or ask any girl out and I told her only God knows tomorrow and she flared up and even told our friend, she thought it was because I casually ask her if she would allow me to have *, she's still a virgin and I won't have anything to do with that because I'm not sure of where the relationship is heading and I wouldn't want to add that to the equation

The reason why I just want to move on is because

1) She's below average in beauty sincerely

2) She has NCE and going back for BSc but her conversation is like someone without waec maybe because she grew up in rural side of Ibadan, I don't used to mind education but she can't hold a decent conversation in English

I don't just know what to do, I don't want to waste her time if I'm not doing I would like to tell now but I don't even know how to say it, she once told me about someone that was trying to get her number and I was hinting her that she can watch out for any one she likes but she didn't get the memo

You are welcome. Oh I see, you didn't talk about being a PR in your initial post, i actually thought you are going as an international student (study permit).

That's a good one for you, at least you gonna pay your tuition as a domestic student.

Due to the kind of program Software Development is, a PG.Cert might likely not suffice for you cos for the admission requirement, they will require you to have a previous education or work/technical experience related to Software Development or any other branches of Computer Science.

A Diploma in Software development at a college
should suffice for you since you are landing as a PR and looks like you are considering a career switch.

Unfortunately I don't know of any college offering Software Development at Diploma level

You can try your luck on something, be on a look out for PG.Cert in Software development, you might be lucky to get admission there. To improve your chances to get the admission, do some Online short courses (free or paid) on Software Development/Software Engineering, add it to your Canadian Style Résumé and apply for a PG.Cert in Software development program at a college, you might get the admission by doing that.

Thank you very much for your help, yes, I want to switch career. I have finished some IT courses on Udemy, I will check those schools too to see if that can be accepted too. Before anything else, I will check those schools out. Thank you very much for your help.

1) You getting the admission is 50/50 cos the admission requirement for a PG. in Software development would require a graduate of Computer Science, Software Engineering and related field or someone who has work experience in Software Development.

2) A PG program not related to your Academic background or Work Experience is still a wrong Academic & Career Progression, cos a Visa Officer won't see a connection with your previous education and work experience in relation to Software Development, and that could raise a red flag on your Visa Application.

Based on your good CGPA, a Visa Officer will expect you to go for a Masters in a Biological science related field e.g research focus Biological Science Masters Program like Computational Biology, Biomedical Science, Cancer & Immunology etc.

Congratulations to you. Many people exaggerate their CV.

Infact, remove anything that will give people the impression that you are Nigerian. Use your English name instead of your native name. Immediately you have gotten a chance with the HR, then you can restore to default setting. That is my own take anyway. Job hunting is a very aggressive stage and you need to remove anything that will give people a bias impression of you to the extent that they wouldn’t call you for an interview.

Please for those without english name can they formulate one for themselves and add it to their CV
