When tecno came onboard, they had everything working for them, but lost it when they cant find the ying and yang between affordable and cheap, when techno came to Nigeria, I was using Samsung Galaxy s one(at&t variant), the one with Android(2.3 Ginger bread with 512 ram and 16gb rom), my friends were using tecno devices, there is a difference when I use theirs, and anytime I use mine, the difference is clear. in my quest for enlightenment on Android os, I bought a China phone named "doov v3" it was ship with yunos os(fork version of Android), this phone was fluid, fast never lag and has a good Display, cons of the phone are no GApps,community support,bloatware.The only tecno phone I ever own was tecno wx3lite, which only lasted a week with me before giving up.

If only Tecno use the millions they spend on advertising to make better phones, they would have gone places by now. They had the Nigerian market all to themselves, guaranteed sales and profits. They decided to do rubbish instead.

This renewed method of very aggressive advertising shows that Tecno have indeed lost huge market shares and are desperate. Rather than going about it the right way and making better phones, they are pouring money on advertising.

I am not talking about which class of consumers they target the phone for, rather I am saying phone with such specification should not cost up to that...

How can transsion holding sells Tecno camon 15 95k with those outdated specification in 2020 and call it affordable, where as there are phones of 2017 with better specification that don't cost up to that..

I created a thread in 2018 on nairaland seeking help how to remedy a TECNO wx3lite which I bought because of 4g, the phone was not up to a week, when the phone showed me real inside life. Tecno fan and marketer defended the brand some even insulted me, but me no send them, the thread was deleted

I don't blame Tecno, An average Nigerian is not tech inclined, that is why they sale those plastic and call them smart phone.

let me tell you a story

As a DIY guy, my friend bought a dish and free to air decoder, so he called me to help him in tracking Astra 28.8E and badir sat. As a novice but willing to learn kind of person I downloaded "satelite finder " due to the fact that my phone add compass sensor, it was responding and viewing all points in azimuth, my friend was amazed and decided to download same app in his Tecno phone, lo and behold when he opened the app, it was not responding, the satellite pointer just remained static, I can see the disappointment in his face but me no send am, that is how we use my phone to point at the direction of the satellite and did little adjustment, the free to air channels came up.
moral of my story, never listen to a Tecno marketer that says sensor don't matter

Yes every operating .system can be used. Even windows but any Linux sis to including manjero can be used but it cons is that you have to start installing tools like it frustrating except. If manjero .has a. Security edition ...... For me iIuse Ubuntu .As my main os and kali as my virtual. Manchine in a nutshell any os can be used.. . .I recommends kali or parrot.
As to your second question ... Java has limited uses. ..For example if i want to hack Java web app... I need to java to hack applet... but i recommend learning python or rubby for writing script etc as if wil come handy
