No, I didn’t, neither does Adeboye. If you listen to ten sermons by Adeboye, you will hear him at least once acknowledging the founder in glowing praise. In fact he constantly credits the man for helping him build the solid spiritual and prayer stamina he has today.

That the general assembly barely talks about the founder is not unusual. With all due respect to him, his earthly ministry and his family, can you point to any special milestones that characterized his reign? This explains why the people have little to say about him. I am not dismissing the founder’s place in history, but if Adeboye goes to glory tomorrow, his name and face will remain at the historical forefront of RCCG.

Majority of RCCG members and some pastors don't actually know the founder of the church truly and there is no visible monument or structure named after him around the church...

Every member of CAC knows Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, every member of Cherubim and Seraphim knows Moses Orimolade and the list goes on

It is because RCCG was at best a ragtag church when Adeboye took over. It was poor and barely known anywhere. Unlike CAC and C&S that saw glory days in the years in their founders, RCCG became the sensation it is today in the days of Adeboye. So it is not unusual that many people don't know or accord much honour to the founder.

Let's learn to put history in proper perspective. As far as history will remember, Adeboye is and will always remain the man of the match in RCCG. No leader will ever be able to dwarf what he has achieved. The CAC and C&S you mention have never had any subsequent leaders that did better than their founders. This here is the crux of the matter.

Afterall Adeboye, every now and then, still gives credit to the founder of RCCG. This should suffice.

I saw one video from Owerre, the man and wife after the marriage ceremony simply went with a few friends and family to a nearby clean restaurant for a nice meal.
