This is how you destroy what's left of the brittle sense of nationhood. Nigeria will divide last last. Meanwhile the same tribalists are quick to shed tears when they face racism abroad. I detest tribalism! You guys can do better nau. sad

Tinibu, the Goat of naija politics.

Don't ask Nairaland members for contact details.
This is what I keep saying. Someone is already politicking towards 2027, while his opponents are busy roaming about. In politics you create your own narrative and sell your brand. Tinubu sha! cheesy

Aswear!
Untill we start jailing some doctors or closed down hospitals for neglecting their primary duty it won't stop!

I kept saying an average Nigerian is a reflection of the leaders we have at the centre.

Untill followers are made to sit up things will not change.
There is a lack of trust between the police and the medical community. Forget about those laws passed, be a medical personnel first before you judge. Police never show you pepper. sad We are talking about day to day encounters, not some written law that police does not acknowledge.

Do you know how many hospitals have been in trouble over this matter? In cases like this, it is better to run to a nearby chemist and be attended to by a skilled 'quack' who cares more about saving your life for good money than running to a hospital that fears police shenanigans. Going to a licensed hospital in this case is a very long shot. Many of them have terrible experiences with police.

It will take an executive order by the president to change this dilemma. If the president can issue the order, then everyone will follow. Relying on some NASS enactment is a long thing.

Not at all. It is his marital crisis that has taken immense toll on him. Dude doesn't look like someone who is recovering soon. He needs a very long break to heal emotionally and mentally.
Foreign AffairsRe: Gaza Death Toll Nears 60,000 As Israel Continues Its Brutal War On Palestinians by mastermaestro(m): 12:44pm On Jul 29, 2025
Never start a fight with someone more powerful and brutal than you. Hamas thought it was brutal, but they are learning a new definition of brutality. Unfortunately Netanyau has vowed to never pull back. There is nothing any country can do about it.

As long as Hamas holds on to the remaining hostages, this bloody onslaught will go on endlessly. Soon the world will move on from Gaza. Hamas' refusal to let go the remaining hostages emboldens Israel to continue the reckless bombardment. Blame them all you want.
PoliticsRe: ADC Will Collapse In Three Months, Says Ali Modu Sheriff by mastermaestro(m): 11:18am On Jul 29, 2025
HallahGeisher:
The presidency is not for dunes . Ali will be roasted if he tries nonsense. Tinubu is in power now and know that he needs to do to stay in power . He won't talk much but you will see his actions everywhere when the time comes. You can't intimidate someone of his own calibre. He will fight back
Southerners must henceforth present tough cookies like Tinubu. Enough of this northern bullish mentality. I hope Tinubu puts every Northern politician in their place.

The only reason I want Tinubu to return is so the south doesn't become a politically subservient region. Tinubu must win in 2027. Let the North wait till 2031.

dederocs:
Exactly, this devaluation of naira is our biggest problem now in Nigeria, spare parts, goods so expensive...ban importation of fuel, and join BRICS so we trade with nations with local currency.
There should be an IQ test to comment on critical issues. How are you coping with rice and cement prices now? Local production of these commodities must have had positive impact on your finances. sad

What is good about BRICS? China and India, founding members, are still guarding jealously their western economic alliances. You are here glorifying a shitty alliance of mutually suspicious nations. Comot here jor! cheesy
CultureRe: Masquerade Snatches Imam’s Cap, Attacks Another Muslim With Cutlass In Oyo by mastermaestro(m): 11:28am On Jul 28, 2025
Harassing the public under the guise of tradition should be criminalized. Masquerades are fond of doing this. And you wonder why they are resented by many in recent times. How about you display your culture peacefully? I thought the purpose of public parade of masquerades was to endear people towards indigenous traditions.

Unfortunately what these guys do evokes hatred towards them. This is how violence erupts. An imam is a religious leader in his right. He has followers who may not easily swallow this kind of shaming. I hope they meet him personally and apologize accordingly. This is not good!
Christianity EtcRe: Azzaman's Post About Pastor's Warning To Pray Against Death By Accident (Photos) by mastermaestro(m): 12:35pm On Jul 27, 2025
Did he have to bring it to social media? Some people sef. sad A revelation was told you in private. Something you should have dealt with privately, instead you rushed to publish it for the whole world to see. Was he trying to mock the said friend or his revelation?

Pastors should learn to humble themselves and accord more respect to genuine prophetic ministers. It will save them from a lot of danger. The prophetic ministry is given to some, among many, for warning purposes like this one. Despising the prophetic can have very serious consequences.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Supporter, Abdul-Aziz accuses Tinubu of Christian bias in appointments by mastermaestro(m): 5:35pm On Jul 26, 2025
Exousiang01:
Well some people from the East say Tinubu is anti-christian and a religious bigot.

While Peter was inciting a religious war against Muslims, Tinubu who is a muslim has don more for christians than even his Muslim brothers, I am sure the people of southern Kaduna will support me on that.

Someone whose wife is a Christian and a pastor, just because of their hate they say he is a religious bigot....
Tinubu has done more for the church and Christians in Nigeria than the combination of Obi, Atiku plus any other opponent you can remember.

By the way, I am not his supporter. But if I were to vote from a bigoted political perspective as a Christian, I will pick Tinubu. At least I will feel safe that his government will not victimize the church. Tinubu's level of religious tolerance is impeccable.

Foreign AffairsRe: Israel And US Leave Gaza Ceasefire Talks In Qatar by mastermaestro(m): 9:54am On Jul 25, 2025
Father4all:
One thing about Israel and Americans is that they lied too much. Children of of God indeed
Release the hostages dead or alive! Why is this so hard for Hamas? Once the hostages are reieased, Israel's revenge ceases to have justification. Make una dey run up and down with nonsensical statements.

As it appears, Gaza and Rafah are gone for good. All thanks to Hamas for helping Netanyau achieve his lifelong ambition of erasing the idea of a Palestinian statehood.

This life, the strong will always choke the weak if given the slightest chance. That's why the weak must avoid going into a conflict with the strong. Look at Ukraine. The same mistake. Fighting a stronger opponent instead of making concessions to end the war. Soon, Trump will pull out and Europe will have to face Putin alone. With the way the war is going, Putin is heading to Kiev.

Macron is fond of playing to the gallery. Immaterial recognition. Netanyau will be laughing hard at Macron right now. Oya go give them the state nau. cheesy Without mincing words, there will be no Gaza or Palestinian state neighbouring Israel anymore. You folks don't know the plan.

By the time Trump is leaving, Israel would have completely erased Gaza and Rafah. October 7 was a blunder made by Hamas. They gave Netanyau the exact justification he needed badly to execute his unthinkable plan. Gaza is gone for good! No US president is ever going to reverse this move!

Sleazy Zelenksy and corrupt cronies are secretly acquiring properties in choice locations in America from feeding-bottle war funds. He is busy fighting war on credit and donations. Is that not stupid? Trump will soon finally dump Ukraine. Pretty soon.

This is a winless war! Dude should concede defeat. No, he hangs on to power and continues to enrich himself, growing into a dictator like Putin, while claiming western democrat. He will be toppled eventually by one of his own war-fatigued officers. A little while...

Abi there was a Putin enemy inside the plane. Ordering an FSB hit on a plane full of passengers while casually munching on popcorn would be all in a day's work for Mr Putin. Ukraine has no history of attacking civilian planes. Anyway, whatever it is, my heart goes out to the dead.
You are the only intelligent person to have commented on this topic. The others are just blabbering. Knowing Putin for who he is and how he eliminates his foes, a quick thinker would first ask who those on board were.

This is Putin's one among several signature ways of canceling out his 'enemies'.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: DR Congo Set To Shell Out ₦70 Billion To Sponsor Barcelona by mastermaestro(m): 1:38pm On Jul 22, 2025
dederocs:
Congo's conflict is not yet over, Rwanda successfully ended their crises and warfare, but Congo have not, and no major power is presently backing them to ensure dismantling of the various rebel groups to ensure security...a lot of rebel groups in different areas of Congo still warring. Rebranding is good, but visitors and tourists won't come to a nation plagued by rebel warfare.
Rwanda still had pockets of conflicts when it began rebuilding its global perception. It's not too early to begin. Conflict de-escalation and image modeling can go side by side.

dederocs:
Make your country safe and peaceful, Congo is popular already.
Popular and notorious don't mean the same thing. Congo is notoriously known, not popular. The country needs the rebranding badly. We've all known Congo to be a war-ravaged, rebel-controlled, blood-flowing African country. To change that perception, it will take more than just making it safe.

They need to attach their name to a credible global brand to help change the negative view the world holds of them. It's a smart plan. Rwanda did a lot to change its global image. If you know how much Rwanda spent to whitewash its image on CNN and BBC. Those who are familiar with CNN will tell that Rwanda's advertisement on that network popped up more than 10 times a day for many years. That's millions of dollars in ads!

Look at Rwanda today, their global image is at an all-time high. It works!
PoliticsRe: Race To 2027: PDP’s Flagbearer Battle Begins After Atiku’s Exit by mastermaestro(m): 8:41pm On Jul 21, 2025
AMINDA:
Exactly. In trying to be smart, Wike and Tinubu have now boxed themselves into a corner. A Northerner clinching the PDP ticket automatically kills any agitation for power to remain in the South. On the other hand, a Southwesterner clinching the ticket means even less votes for Tinubu. Double jeopardy for the master strategist. APC and Wike proxies should tone down on the Southern agitation in order not to make this election a North-South supremacy battle because Tinubu will lose handsomely if that be the case. The North has the advantage of numbers.
You guys ignorantly allocate fictitious population advantage to the North. If they had the numbers, why did Buhari not stroll to Aso on his own? Neither South nor North can win presidential elections on their own.

As for the election it is actually a supremacy battle between the South and North. Southern politicians must not allow the North choose when to return to power and when not. There is an unwritten rule that power rotates every 8 years. Letting the North change this arrangement at will is the South accepting political subjugation.

If ADC is not fielding a Southerner, then Tinubu must complete 8 years or nothing! I trust Tinubu and Wike. At least they are no cowards.
PoliticsRe: “I Sense Tribalistic Bigotry From The Edo Governor” – Kenneth Okonkwo by mastermaestro(m): 8:22pm On Jul 21, 2025
Dumb actor cum lawyer. Obi has the most passionate support base in Edo far more than in his region. To imagine that someone supposedly educated would condescend low by reducing this to a tribal game is preposterous.

When the governor of Benue said the same thing, was it tribalism too? Always crying like sissies. Getat! angry

People are suffering.

Saudi Arabia is trying to drive some attention to their league. And they don't mind spending big to achieve it.
If think about it, they are making steady progress. Their club did commendably well at the club World Cup.
A time might come when we will start watching the Saudi pro league on DSTV. And they will also attract the advertisement money.
They are doing exactly what the Europeans did and still do to lure the best talents from African and South American leagues. Now, the Saudis are exploring the same route. It's going to work sooner or later.

Babaflenjor:
SO I HAVE TO PAY 1000 NAIRA TO JOIN ADC, I DONT UNDERSTAND
Until the people start funding political parties, they will remain powerless over who emerges as candidates. In real democracies, parties are financed not by politicians, but by the people.

We must grow to that level in order to have healthy political parties. The reason one man can hijack a whole party is because funding is left to few politicians. This is wrong.

You don't want to pay ordinary 1k for registration, but you want to have a say on who the candidate should be. How? The few guys who fund the party will always hold the power to choose the candidates. All financially irrelevant members will just run along, voiceless and powerless. But when you commit your funds to a party, you will fight to to be heard, not jumping from party to party every now and then.

Why do you think Wike has refused to let PDP go? Dude invested hell of resources in the party. Thus, he would rather have it crippled that allow those who have contributed next to nothing to come lord over him. That's how it feels to be financially tied to a political party.

Procashtips:
No originality again, everything in the west has been bastardized.

The English people still bury their kings or queens the way they have done thousands of years ago, but in Yoruba land, they have turned their kingship and traditions to hiphip foreign religion koko tales.

Nothing original about their culture again.

What a sad story.
So you must also support cultures that bury living beings with their late kings, right? Maybe if you or one of your loves is a victim of this barbarism disguised as culture, you will start to think and speak sensibly. Some of you defend evil practices in the name of preserving culture.

That's how a man will die, his wife will he forced to sleep in the same room with the corpse for days. They will also force her to drink the bath water of his remains. You also think this is culture? African nations will hardly prosper because of these wicked practices they call culture.
