Health › Re: US, UK Patients Now Seek Medical Care In Nigeria - Minister Of Health, Pate by mastermaestro(m): 3:34pm On Feb 05, 2025
Amayabor1:
He is not lying though. But they are all Nigerians living abroad. Some go back to Nigeria to have their dental issues fixed because of the very expensive nature of dental procedures abroad. Some go back home for surgeries because these western countries don't rush to operate on you if it is not an emergency. They will give you a far date for the surgery. Some Nigerians just go back home and do the surgery and go back abroad.
I can personally lend witness to this fact. However the minister himself travels abroad for medical care.

Politics › Re: Constitution Allows Muslims In South West States To Set Up Shariah Panels — JNI by mastermaestro(m): 10:04pm On Feb 03, 2025
These guys have patiently waited for this moment all their lives. Now that the major Christian leaders (Adeboye, Oyedepo, Kumuyi) from the region are aging and there are no vibrant replacements in sight, it's a perfect time to introduce shariah.

Christians in the west better wake up. Otherwise, one day they will wake up to see shariah courts are all over the place.

Make Una end this war nah. Even Israel and Hamas don do tactical retreat. Una just dey waste lives and billions up and down
They are wasting people's sons, brothers, fathers, and husbands over an egoistic war. Between Zelenksy and Putin, I don't know who is more cocky now. I used to think it was Putin. But Zelenksy's recent arrogance and defiance seem to be worsening and prolonging the war.

lildush:
How can u buy a car with your first pay? See wacked mentality
Buying a car is not the issue here. It is buying a luxury car with his first pay. Car in itself is not a luxury. There are businesses you will do, and there are areas or cities you will reside in, if you don't have a private car to ease your movement around, frustration will nearly finish you. Owning a private car is a necessity for some people.

NAIRALAND MODERATORS ARE ALL BIAS MINDED PEOPLE. WHY DID YOU LEAVE THIS TOPIC UNDER RELIGIOUS SECTION? YOU WANT BOTH CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS TO FULLY CONTRIBUTE TO IT WHILE IT SUPPOSE TO BE ON ISLAM FOR MUSLIMS SINCE IT IS ALL ABOUT ISLAM AND SHARIA
Keep quiet, town crier. Seun allows you lots comment rashly on Christian topics week in week out and restrict your section to only Muslims every Friday. We have stopped complaining. But just this one topic which concerns the general public is making you cry blood. You are the biased hypocrite here. E dey pain abi? cheesy

There will be no shariah in Yoruba land. Those who desire shariah should relocate to the north. JESUS CHRIST is more than enough! wink
Politics › Re: Court Grants Sowore N10m Bail, Orders Passport Surrender by mastermaestro(m): 9:48pm On Jan 30, 2025
Tareq1105:
Sowore is nothing but a SUG president. I listened to him speak this afternoon and I didn't see any trait of a president in him other than a tout. Is this how to be a country president? Talking like a garage boy? We definitely have leadership problems but not the kind of sowore, adeyanju etc that would solve it.

I heard him saying Grade Level 17 in government service is a Permanent Secretary. Olodo! When they would not learn but blind criticism of the public service they don't even know.
Normally, Sowore is our own Malema. I like his activism, but I nor fit cast my vote for am. He will burn down a country. He is everything but a leader.

Business › Re: Linus Okorie, Apostle Michael Orokpo, Others, Light Up Motion Summit For Wealth by mastermaestro(m): 10:58am On Jan 28, 2025
free2ryhme:
When you see flashy airbrushed images or events like the Abuja "Wealth Creation" summit, be cautious—it might be a scam. These events often promise quick riches but deliver empty talks. Real wealth-building takes time, effort, and practical skills, not just motivational speeches.
I pity Orokpo. He will learn the hard way. By the time everything falls apart and the fraud is fully executed, they will use his name to clean the muddy floor.

Any investment venture that employs motivational lectures, robust speeches, and star endorsements is likely a scam. They bring in a popular face to promote the fraudulent scheme. Thereafter, cash out, and leave naive investors falling on one another. grin

This guy is corrupt to the core and has exposed the fragility of Americans democracy, and even more so the hypocrisy of the supposed western idealism which is nothing more than a facade.
Why are you guys grieving over someone removing appointee traitors from his administration? Do you think he rose so high sharing rose flowers? I am not sure you know what it takes to attain greatness. If you think being everyone's darling is part of it, you have a lot to learn from life. sad

Politics › Re: Adejobi Says Police Can Break Into Homes by mastermaestro(m): 4:55pm On Jan 26, 2025
temielects:
Nigerian citizens are another problem, they will back nonsense as far as it's against the authority that is meant to protect them, if you have idea what some calmly looking criminals are capable of doing you will understand restricting authorities like the police is evil.
You think so? The police have gotten away with reckless, oppressive behaviour for so long because most citizens were largely uneducated concerning their basic rights and privileges. That's changing pretty fast. No one is stopping the police from working, but they must do so within the rule of law.

Breaking into people's houses should not be a sport. Police should only break in where there are legitimate concerns that there are ongoing plans by individuals inside such apartments to commit murder, kidnapping, terrorism and treason against the state. Or if wanted suspects have been reported to be housed in such a building. To break into a building on frivolous suspicion like, "They are doing Yahoo," is both dumb and potentially injurious on the part of the officers.

Have you ever been in a hotel where law enforcements invaded as though Shekau was presently lodged there? That's what a guest I checked into a hotel, who was visiting Nigeria for the first time after over a decade in Europe, encountered one of the nights. It was despicable. Why were they there? Suspicion of fraud going on. They were breaking down doors around 1AM in the middle of the night.
Let me leave it there.

My point is that the police will not run far if they insist on retaing this worrisome tactic. Nigeria is in an age of enlightenment already. Maybe you don't know. No reasonable person supports crime. However the law enforcer must act in a manner that matches his noble designation.

Obasa knows too much...

I have said it severally that unless he doesn't want to reclaim the seat, if he wants that seat, he remains the legitimate speaker until he his served, referred to ethics committee, he defends himself, the committee sends the report back to the house and then based on the report or outcome, they can now proceed to impeachment... Other than that, all effort to impeach him is in nullity
He nor know shit. angry Dude will eat watery beans if he misbehaved. Na one diviner somewhere just dey deceive am. He should better go and thank Tinubu for allowing him enjoy that seat for almost a decade.

Foreign Affairs › Re: We Hope The United States Reconsiders Its Intent To Withdraw - WHO by mastermaestro(m): 7:22pm On Jan 21, 2025
Most of you supporting Trump on this don't know its implications on African healthcare system.
One, free and cheap treated mosquitoes nets are gone. You will have to pay the the full cost to have one.

Two, free vaccines against polio and other infant-related diseases are going soon.

Three, free and cheap prenatal health assistance at primary healthcare centres are going.

Four, free and cheap drugs for HIV patients will be over soon.

Five, some of the drugs you buy at pharmacies come heavily subsidized by WHO. Expect prices of medicine to go up soon.

Combine all the contributions of China, Russia and EU to the WHO, they will never match America's. The US remains the world's number one philanthropist.
