Ntel. One of the most useless networks we have. Their plan is similar to that of airtel, Airtel is faster and airtel has better customer care. Also, with my Airtel line, I can call and do whatever I want to do with it.
I don't know the evil spirit that possessed me. Chai‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️, I am finished. Mumu me went and got ntel sim thinking their data must be great. It is not great oh. It is The same plan with airtel.
Okay, let me continue, I decided to start with 2000 naira plan which is 4.5gb(the same with airtel). After registration and subscription I went home with my sim. I recieved an email from ntel welcoming me to the network as a registered customer. For 2 days the sim did not work. I took it back to the agent but he was acting all confused. I sent ntel loads of emails but no reply. The morning of the third day I recieved an email from ntel that I have been barred from the network for 48 hours because of nonusage.
This useless network that is not even easy to recharge want me to waste my hard earned 2000 naira. It seems anything Nigeria government owned can never prosper.
Now if you think you need an ntel sim first think 'do I really need ntel, will another network not serve my needs perfectly'.

I didn't even know such a plan exists on ntel. After I read your post, I went to google the 2k for 4.5gb plan, and I was surprised to find it.

Well, I also had your problems. The day I got it, I had to wait to wait for half a day before I learnt I had to contact customer care to activate my plan. I was also banned recently for non-usage (though this was fixed). So I can't argue with you there. But I still think the reason anyone would get an ntel would be for the unlimited plans, which airtel does not offer. If you're going to be doing a plan like 4.5gb, you're better off using airtel or any of the other common networks.

Is this a new gameloft game?

DaveHert:
Same here! Mine fluctuates between 550-650KBs and never capped!

Exactly. And thanks, I meant to say limited.

DaveHert:
Last time I checked Ntel was the only network that offers true unlimited plans at such an affordable rate (this was before they recently increased price of some of their cheap plans). So you can't really blame people for wanting Unlimited data even tho their network speed can not even be called LTE/4G.

Up until 2 weeks ago I was on their unlimited classic night plan for 5k (now 10k) and it served me better than most network with crazy network speed had served be with their capped data. I was able to download more than 300gb worth of downloads before the plan expired. I doubt I would be going back to them now but i just wanted to get that out of the way.

Would have loved to try out smile but unfortunately they are only in Lagos so you shouldn't blame people for patronizing Ntel, not many unlimited affordable ISP's around.

I agree. The only thing awful about Ntel where I am is the crappy speed. I get no more than 600KB/s where I stay. But that speed stays constant until the plan expires, so there is no cap. I did the Unlimited Weekly for N5k last week which expires today and I have used over 95gb in 7 days. And that's just on my own laptop. My brother had his fair share of downloads too.

Other ISPs that provide high speeds are either unlimited, or have a time restriction to unlimited browsing (e.g only at night), or very, very expensive.

I got an ntel sim. How long will it take before I can get service on it? It's been about 6 hours now. I've tried it on my mifi and my phone, both of which support the ntel band frequency.

Now this is Airtel at its peak .. now do the comparison and make your choice .

I have the airtel. The speed is awesome. The data plans are whack.

DaveHert:
There is no cap on Ntel. but I should warn u their network is not very fast. Barely maintains 500kbs and at peak times it can go only as high as 700kbs

Wow. kbs or KBs? If it is kbs then that's really awful.

DaveHert:
Ntel classic night plan that was previously 5k, just discovered it's been increased to 10k.

Thanks. I'm trying to decide between ntel and swift. Does ntel have a cap on their unlimited plans? Does swift?

From what I've researched, you can only enjoy swift's unlimited data at night. But those of ntel have no time restrictions, so I'm guessing ntel should have a cap.

Catchfirez:
Yes. Dual sim phones like Nokia, Samsung and Lg always have band 40 and all band if it is Dual sim

Thanks.

Can swift sim be used in smartphone?

DaveHert:
It doesn't have any data cap. My night plan just ended and I used up to 330gb

Which plan is this?

rookidmart:
It's for 15 days.
Their site hasn't been updated in a while and some pages don't work.

Thanks.

Also, some comments here say that Swift's merit 3k plan is 2 weeks, but on their site, it's 30 days.

Anyone here that uses any of the NTEL unlimited plans? Specifically the weekly unlimited plan?

When u log into nairaland, the cookies for the site looks like what is shown in the first attached image. So, I store this in a local database and use it for every request made to nairaland.com. This is how nairaland knows you are logged in.

To post comments, for instance, I first posted some comments on nairaland, and inspected the contents of the http request - header and body (examples shown in the second and third attached images). Then I tried to replicate this in code.

The same goes for liking, sharing, modifying comments and others.

I don't know if I answered your question.

Wow.

Do you use any library for scraping?

asalimpo:
Downloaded it n tried it out. The interface is nice and okay. So no visual negatives distracting d user.
The cons are: 1) the tutorial is a tad too lengthy. I got tired of being told what to do. Keep it short and unobtrusive.

2) this is a big one. The letters don't change with each new combination. It remained the same set- jumbles- . It got too boring after that.
It looks too much like a scrabble-like thing

Just seeing this now.
1. Yes, I may have put in too much text in the tutorial. But I made it possible to skip the tutorial by pressing the back button. And the tutorial is a one time thing.

2. The game is actually inspired by Scrabble. But unlike Scrabble, the set of letters available to you do not change during the session. Unlike Scrabble, when you play a word, the letters do not get consumed and replaced. They remain in the set. There is a "new combination". The objective is to find as many words as you can from a predetermined set of letters.

Oh, how is it able to post comments and follow users and like comments and stuff?

Hi testers,

I've added new features and fixed a couple of bugs in the latest update.

Please find the app here.

This is freaking impressive. Well done.

I'm pleased to see all these wonderful projects here on Nairaland. Assures me that Nigeria has a very active developer community.

Just finished a word game two days ago. Unjumble - a competitive word game. Unjumble is based on the concept of finding words from a set of jumbled letters.

Developed in Android studio and uses Firebase database and Google Play services for online features, achievements and leaderboards.

Check it out and let me know how I can improve it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piesoftwares.unjumble

Are you fond of word games? Unjumble tests your ability to find valid words from a given set of letters. Each letter is assigned points and your score for each word is the sum of the points for each letter. Score high, find Bingos, unlock achievements, top leaderboards and be a Master Unjumbler!

Hello nairalanders. After months of work, my game, Unjumble, is now out on Play store. If you're a fan of Scrabble or similar word games where you make up words from jumbled letters, you'll enjoy this game. What's more, there are competitive features. You can play with friends around you or with others online, and there are leaderboards to compare scores.

Google play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piesoftwares.unjumble

Play, rate it and leave a review, thanks.
Play with me online. My GamerID is YoungDONE.
