PoliticsExpose Corruption And Make Money As Nigerian Govt Adopts Whistle Blowing Policy by masterpiece86(op): 3:44pm On Dec 21, 2016
The Federal Government has approved a new policy on whistle blowing that aims to encourage Nigerians to report financial and other related crimes to relevant authorities.
The highlight of the policy is that whistleblowers whose revelations lead to recovery of money will be entitled to as much as 5 per cent of the recovered sum.
The new policy was approved Wednesday at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council , chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari inside the Council Chamber of the Aso Rock Villa.
The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who announced the new policy to State House correspondents, said it is being put in place “in conjunction with the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice”.
She said the policy is a stop gap initiative until the National Assembly formally passes a law on whistle blowing.
She said the new programme encourages Nigerians with information on financial crimes to disclose it.
She said the aim is to strengthen the fight against corruption by the Buhari administration.
She said anyone who provides information leading to the recovery of fund will be entitled to not more than five per cent of the recovered sum.
Ms. Adeosun said the government will set up a website and provide a phone number and email for people to use.
She said anonymity and protection of whistleblowers will also be guaranteed.

PoliticsRe: DSS To Senate In Another Report: Give Magu Chance by masterpiece86: 9:08am On Dec 20, 2016
This is just pure politics between executive and legislature in one hand and fight of supremacy between SSS and NSA.

We saw this battle coming all along and have read on this platform a number of times about the power play between Lawal Daura, Manguno and Abba Kyari for and against Magi

The bottom line is...all these is drawned battle is for their selfish interest and not for the national interest and Nigeria as a whole.

We still have a long way to go in this country...!!

InvestmentMMM Launches In Ghana, Kenya After Suspending Nigeria Operations by masterpiece86(op): 6:21pm On Dec 19, 2016
The creation of the Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox (MMM) in Kenya and Ghana, approximately 48 hours after its activities in Nigeria were suspended for a month, has caused increased panic among its Nigerian participants.
Chiamaka Ugorji, the wife of Chuddy Ugorji, a leading MMM Nigeria promoter, attempted to calm nerves by writing an open letter to participants, but this failed to reassure Nigerians that their investments were safe.
Some individuals, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Abuja, shared their thoughts on the issue.
A civil servant, Charity Okafor, said “I participated in the scheme twice by investing N500,000 and one million naira respectively and I got my money back with the large interest.
“However, I felt I should not participate in the scheme any longer and I am lucky I had people around me who convinced me not to reinvest.
“I know I would have turned into a crazy woman if I had money there during this suspension,” Mr. Okafor said.
Ebube Okoh, a housewife, said that she believed the launch of MMM in Ghana and Kenya had everything to do with the Nigerian chapter.
According to the website, the ban on withdrawals is due to negative reports by the media, heavy workload experienced by the system, and an attempt to prevent problems during the New Year.
“I, however, believe that they have run out of people to get money from to pay back the large investments that were coming into the system.
“I believe the money obtained in Kenya and Ghana will be used to make up for the deficit in Nigeria, besides both countries have higher currency values when compared to the Nigeria naira.
“The launch in Ghana and Kenya can’t be a coincidence.”
Gregory Bello, an engineer, said “I have money in the programme, but I am not as upset as other participants because it is a small amount of money compared to others.
“The money I put in is the interest I got from my last investment. I am one of those hoping the system comes back in January for the sake of our sanity.
“I have friends who put in millions of naira and have either suddenly fallen ill or are showing signs of depression.
“I just pray that MMM Nigeria has not crashed because many people will commit suicide or turn crazy,” Bello said.

N-POWER VERIFICATION OF 200,000 GRADUATES COMPLETED IN 13 STATES

As the Federal Government prepares to commence the payment of monthly stipends to the 200,000 graduates engaged under the N-Power job creation programme of the Buhari administration, 13 states of the federation have now submitted verified lists of the graduates and more are expected later this week.
Disclosing this on Sunday while giving a news update on the programme, Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity in the Office of the Vice President, stated that also in some states the graduates have also been deployed to their primary places of assignment, noting that payment of the N30,000 stipends for the graduates will commence this month once verification and deployment have been done.
Under the N-Power Volunteer Scheme, the Federal Government announced the selection and engagement of 200,000 unemployed graduates as the first batch of the half a million the Buhari administration plans to hire for the 2-year paid volunteer job programme.
In his budget speech Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari announced that the Social Investment Programmes would continue in 2017 with another allocation of N500,000.
According to him, “the 2017 Budget estimates retain the allocation of N500 billion to the Special Intervention programme consisting of the Home-grown School Feeding Programme, Government Economic Empowerment programme, N-Power Job Creation Programme to provide loans for traders and artisans, Conditional Cash Transfers to the poorest families and the new Family Homes Fund (social housing scheme).
He added that the “N-Power Programme has recently taken off with the employment of 200,000 graduates across the country, while the School Feeding Programme has commenced in a few States, where the verification of caterers has been completed.”
While the Federal Government is responsible for their monthly stipends, it is in partnership with state governments to verify the selected unemployed graduates and deploy them to their primary places of assignment since each of the volunteer graduates would be serving in their communities where they are resident, Mr. Akande explained.
He disclosed that the states that have completed the verification by weekend are Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Cross Rivers, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina and Kogi states. Others are Niger, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba and Zamfara States, while verification and deployment have already been completed in Benue, Cross Rivers and Kogi.
According to the SSA, in virtually all the states of the federation, the verification has commenced and there are indications that much progress would be made this week in order to enable the Federal Government process the monthly payments of the already verified graduates before Christmas.
The Buhari administration is keen on ensuring that the selected 200,000 graduates are able to draw their stipends starting this much, as plans have been concluded to release the funds once verification is completed. States have been very cooperative in working with the Federal Government so much that even in states that have not completed verification by weekend, much activities are going on towards attaining that goal.
The FG will pay the graduates their monthly stipends directly into their own bank accounts and 93 per cent of the selected 200,000 graduate volunteers have already been verified based on the Bank Verification Number, BVN.

I should be asking u that, for I borrowed the word from u. Dont tell me u av short term memory, or u dont want to answer the question at all? If it is short term memory, check ur posts and see where u av bn mentioning mama call. If u dont want to answer the question, no probs just forget about it. Okay?[/quote]Ameerah Who am i not to answer my mentors question... My authority...my lingard...my sheengard.
mama call is 9ja daily adage and recipe used eapecially during high school days when you fine young students attend late night parties and will continue partying and they will say in their words "they will continue to party until mama calls''. Which means until day break or when they call them to come back home.

Try flash back ur secondary school u will know where i pick up what u said I have been repeating.

AmeerahFKI:
well, if they are to follow due process, it will be same since it was during the FG verification that such thing happened. Under LG and SG verification, there was nothing like that; they only check if u are truly the bearer of ur certificates. During FG VERIFICATION, they lay emphasis on the original copy of NYSC CERTIFICATE OR DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE. U must present the original copy before the photocopies of all ur credentials.

Masterpiece86, where are thou? come and shed more light on this matter o.
See KadN-Power focal applicant calling me out..... Anyway, I think the problem with most Nigerians is that we dont follow simple instruction. All these things comes with caveat but may be because of desperation or lack of foresight we just jump into things because a friend of ours has done same. Before applying for any vacancy any sound and reasonable mind will first and foremost go through the requirements just to ascertain if he/she fits in and qualified. But because some failed to do the right thing when the chips are down they will be running helter skelter when the stakes are high and ovation is loudest. The requirements were very clear and unambiguous (Bsc) for both N-Teach and N-Agro. The N-Power managers wont change the goal post at the middle of the match.

Hence, the requirements will remain the same until mama call or better still until Ameerah says otherwise.

I know at the end of the day this NCE holders who comes short of this program because they fail to read simple instruction will be calling the Government out over their plight. When their predicaments is rooted on their inability to read 2minutes instructions.
