Thank you very much
Your advice really means a lot
But Nawa for this Canada people
I heard that CAD application use to take 52 days before meanwhile applicant from other countries get response within a month most especially applicant from India and Turkey. I know of someone from China that submitted and got response same day which is today and this is not even a joke!!

The same is also applicable here in naija, some ppl gets theirs faster within a week.
Forget the normal processing time for every country stated in ircc website,it doesn't count, although ircc won't respond to any enquiry that hasn't gone past the processing time but apart from that,it does not count,it's only when one sees their decision envelope they take

I would be patience like you have said
I would share my timeline soon when my PPR drops
Thank you very much I really appreciate your explanation
Thank you

Very good and I'm glad you ve decided to wait...
But while your on it by waiting, make sure you contact the school and request for Deferment bcus that's the next step your suppose to take now since your classes are few days away to commence.
Once you get your New LOA, I guess you know what to do next with the new LOA.
God will see you through okay

I will be 41yrs next year with B.eng, masters in IT from open University and 16yrs banking experience in IT. What are my chances of getting study visa if I go for PGD/PG cert in a college cos I want to get practical experience which open University does not offer.

or should i go for another masters

makano , frankrobbn1,Lekiboboe, gurus help out

In my own perspective, it's not a good idea to go for PGD/PG cert bcus you ve already bagged masters degree, so by going for PGD, VO will see it as Retrogressing and it won't be healthy for your application.
PGD is not your level and you don't belong there, so by using it , VO may think your looking for an easy way out and as such you may not return home after studies.
So my take on this is, forget anything PGD bcus you've gone way pass that level bcus I don't think you will stand a chance with it.
Someone at your level should be going for PHD..
Anyways these are my thoughts sha

Please I have a question to ask
I paid $1,000 to my school has tution deposit and my class is starting September 17th meanwhile my PPR is yet to drop! And I can’t defer my program because it’s cohort so if I defer, I would have to join the program September 2022.
Now my question is
1. What if my PPR doesn’t drop before September 17th my resumption date, what do I need to do? The $1,000 is non refundable
2. And what’s the next step to take? Because if I decide to apply to another school, before I get my LOA for the new school, my eligibility might have started and which means I won’t be able to upload the new LOA via webform
3. What’s the best thing to do ?

Relax dear, don't rush things and most importantly don't complicate things for yourself.

With regards to the first question, since your program next intake is Sept (Fall 2022) you have 2 options, it's either you defer your program now to Fall intake 2022 bcus it's impossible for you to meet up with classes this Sept bcus even if your visa gets approved, before you submit and receive your passport it will take time, so you see it's not possible to meet up again.
So like I said you have 2 options, you can choose to defer your Admission next yr but if you can't wait till Sept next yr then you can opt in for another course that has winter intake which is January or summer intake.
But mind you, if you change course and gets new LOA, make sure you notify ircc by forwarding the LOA to them and make sure you put in writing using webform why you switch to another course.
Your tuition half deposit you paid, is still intact despite the fact you switched course or defer Admission.
I will advise you not to change school but exercise patience bcus if you change school bcus of this, it will complicate things for your app bcus you will need to explain to ircc , why change to another institution and visa officer handling your app will read meaning to your act and tag it as desperate and he or she may not see you as real student and trust me ,you won't like how it ends. So relax okay, don't rush it or you lose it.
For example,if you manage to change school and get new LOA and your eligibility has not started reading and you forward the New LOA for the new school to ircc.
The VO will now have 2 LOA from 2 different schools and it will complicate things.
My advice is stick with the school okay and defer your Admission and stop showing signs of desperate to get into Canada bcus it's a big red flag if they notice it from you.
These are my views toward this your case

Really? Is it possible for the school to contact IRCC on your behalf?

Yes it's possible,, some schools does it and I've witnessed it myself before and besides, if your giving visa, the school will benefit from it bcus they need your tuition money.
But mind you, schools contacting ircc on any student behalf does not aid the chances of the student getting the visa.
Just talk to the school authority and beg them to help you contact ircc and inform them that you ve started classes then you will know if the school will agree to it or not but I'm sure some schools does it.

Just incase if the school refuse , you can use the paperwork and receipts issued to you by the school for payments and class registration e.t.c use them and notify ircc as evidence that you've started classes

thanks my class is starting next week I have differed it already

Then make use of webform and forward the New LOA to ircc to notify them of the changes, for profile update. But if you choose not to notify them about it, when the time comes and if ircc wants to approve your visa, they will contact you and demand for a New LOA from you to finalize your app

for those that differed did ircc ask for additional documents or you just forwarded the new LOA to ircc

If for example, your classes has started and your visa processing is still on, defer your admission and send ircc your New LOA so that they will update your app.
Ircc will only request for additional document like New LOA if they want to approve a visa

Hi, I submitted mine and did my biometrics in may and still nothing yet...
The wait is very killing... But prevails over every obstacles..

If it's been long you file in your app, I suggest you order your GCMS note, that way you will get to see the level and status your application is in, whether it's going towards the direction of approval or not.
At times, ircc use to conclude an app and be waiting till they are ready to communicate the decision to the applicant

What evidence can I add to support a mail to IRCC showing I have started classes online?

You can start by asking the school to help you notify ircc that you ve started classes with them and make sure you give the school your application details, so that they can use it to contact ircc on your behalf

What about those starting online classes... is there need to inform IRCC that they are starting online?

If you've started online class already, you can notify them about it with evidence, although it won't add anything in terms of visa approval but by informing them they will see you as a serious applicant

Please what really happens after your school resumes and you still have not gotten a decision from IRCC?

Will IRCC still proceed to make a decision on your Application or would they not care to decide since knowing your resumption date has passed?

Please I need some answers!

If your app is still under processing and your class is in progress, ircc will continue to process your app,it doesn't affect anything.
At this stage wat you should do is Defer your Admission to next intake and send the New LOA to ircc so that they will update your app.
Even if you didn't send them the New LOA, if ircc wants to give you visa , they will request an additional document from you which is New LOA to enable them to finalize your app.

Please have any one gotten a GCMS note of recent how long did it take to get it,I applied for my on the 24th August & I got a mail stating they have priorities on who to reply & my is not part of the priorities stated please what do you advice I should do.

It seems they are attending to people who ordered their Gcms case file way before you, that's why your not a priority at the moment for them.
Just wait a bit longer, they will soon make you a priority. Gcms note takes maximum 40days or more before it becomes ready and obviously your own hasn't been long you applied for it, so I suggest you wait for 3weeks more, by then it may come out

I don't know the poster but part of the reasons why I had to handle my brother’s application was that after reaching out to several agents including an IRCC licensed one in Canada they all told me it would be hard to get approval as he was young, highly mobile and his home ties and Finances would indeed be questioned not to mention a 13 year study gap from secondary school to diploma.

Wokos was one of those agents I reached out to for admission to Manitoba. My brother's Neco result was better than his WAEC so he suggested I used my own WAEC result since I had 7A's it would be automatic admission with some funding sef and my brother could do an affidavit of change of name. He showed me a sample of the affidavit he does for people. Fam, I ran for my life and future because if caught two lives would be ruined and I already had a very clean record and travel history with countries that share information with Canada plus my study permit. I explained all this to him oooh. He still said let's proceed.

I had no choice than to painstakingly work on his application myself after Frank helped us secure the admission to Conestoga with the same results Wokos claimed was not good enough.
The first application was a quick rejection within 1 month but I went back to the drawing board and spent 2 months working on a more solid application addressing the issues before reapplying. I once again reached out to the IRCC agent in Canada and she said it was a long shot but she will charge us $5000 for her services and Judicial review if he got denied again. I resigned to doing the work myself jejely.

Coming back to this guy and wokos, there is a lot unsaid here.
1. Did the guy actually allow wokos add falsified documents to his application? ( me I know wokos does that one based on interaction)
2. Does wokos use the same statement of purpose for all his applications as it is clear there are generic documents as noted by the visa officer in the gcms notes.
3. Please avoid any agent that won't give you access to your log in information because that account belongs to you and not the agent. Many of these so called agents haven't travelled to anywhere and have limited perspective they sell to gullible clients.

4. As I always say, don't copy and paste from anyone because no two applications are the same . Your story and sop must be unique to you and your circumstances. Craft your story and guide the agent accordingly to avoid stories that touch.

5. Own this process yourself and take responsibility. do not live your life or future to chance based on someone else's limited experience. While the agent may not get into trouble, your life and future will be affected by the decisions you have put in their hands.

I reached out to wokos last night because he was amongst the naysayers who told me the visa would be impossible without doing something crooked.

As earlier advised, appeal to ircc immediately with all your supporting documents, proof of conversations between you and wokos and clear yourself immediately.

It is actually inhuman if wokos withheld the information about the procedural fairness letter when it was sent.

Yea you have a point, it seems there is something both parties are not telling us.
However, I still maintain, people should start making use of the info and ideas made available in this platform, by utilizing it and using it to apply for their visa themselves, instead of settling for agent to do the job
Using agents to apply for this study visa is risky and if care is not taking, it may result to ban as a result of (Misrepresenting)

Good evening Nairalanders, this is quite long but bear with me. Earlier this year (2021) I was referred to a page on IG that handles Canada study visa called “ Wokostravelofficial” . They apparently were into securing admissions for interested people at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada and I secured their services. After making all payments to one Kinsley Onuchukwu GTB 0568656274 (handler of the Wokos page) and successfully securing the admission, we moved on to the visa application stage and this is where things started going sideways.

While waiting on this, I also applied to another Canadian institution (Niagara College, Canada) and was offered an acceptance to the Broadcasting program with a co-op work permit attached to it but decided to use the Manitoba admission for my study visa since it came before the other Niagara own and I had already began the study visa process but I planned to switch when i eventually got the study visa.

After providing all the required documents needed for visa application ( international passport, my sponsors bank statement of 12M Naira and sponsorship letter, CAC documents, filling my family information form) to “ Wokos”, my application was submitted in early February 2021 and a week later I was invited to do biometrics screening which I did at the VFS center in Lekki.

Months passed and no feedback from the embassy and every time I messaged this guy he always give me different excuses ( COVID, this , that) so I lockup. He refused to give me the details to my IRCC login claiming he is handling many applications and cannot give the login details to everyone so any messages or requests from IRCC that I receive on my email I would have to ask him before he even tells me what was going on and which documents they were requesting for ( NSE documents like IELTS and Mybankstatement)

Eventually after a 5 months wait, he eventually sent me the rejection mail on the 24th of June claiming my application was unsuccessful . I was devastated and asked him if I could immediately request for my GCMS note to know the real reason my application was rejected but he insisted that I would have to wait for at least two months before even applying for GCMS. I doubted it but I waited, a month later in late July, I asked again about applying for GCMS note but he still dismissed it so I took the incentive and made some research on how to apply myself and I did.

After a month and some days later, I received the GCMS today (3rd of September 2021) and I am shocked to find out that they used duplicated documents for my study visa applications that had already been used in several other applications and I was being accused of fraudulent documentation and misrepresentation and being hit with a 5 years ban from all Canada visa applications .

The annoying part alongside this is that this agent was given some time ( June to July) to inform me on the misrepresentation allegations and to challenge it if need be but he did not and if I had not applied for the GCMS note myself I wouldn’t even know that I had been banned for 5 years. Also because Canada, US and Australia share information and data base I have also been told that the chances of me getting a visa in those 3 countries are now slim to none.

I would appreciate any information and ideas on the important next steps I would need to take to possibly appeal this ban. 5 years no be joke ‍♂️. Please help a brother out

With information reaching us now via pictures of the WhatsApp chat with agent , it appears you filled the form yourself and the agent claimed that all the documents submitted, that your the one that provided them.
So let me ask you, did you provide any forged documents or you tampered with your bank statement, bcus these could be wat led to the ban

Hello guys.. I was denied yesterday based on Personal assets and financial Status.. though I used a good Sponsor account.. please I need help. What do I need to reapply?

Before you reapply again, make sure you oder your Gcms note to be sure it's only the 2reasons.
If truely it's the only 2reasons,then you need to work on your home ties by acquiring a personal asset for yourself, I'm sure you must have come of age that made them to focus on your personal asset and financial status.
I suppose you didn't submit your bank account along with your sponsor account while submitting your app or if you did submit your bank account, maybe you didnt have sufficient capital in the account.
So work on securing economic ties for yourself registered in your name and try and have reasonable amount of money in your account

This is hrt breaking and so sad, some agents are the ones causing downfall of some Applicants, I'm sure when the agent was filling the visa form for you, he made a silly mistake and put wrong information about you that does not corresponde with the information ircc have in their data base, so this made them to ban you.
My advice to you is , for the fact Canada banned you , that does not mean USA, Australia or other neighboring countries will ban you too, Nooo.
The reason is bcus every country has their own immigration policies, any breach on it will lead to ban.
So I advise you to feel free to apply for visa to any of the neighboring countries butake sure while filling there visa form, you say the truth about yourself by revealing to them that you've been ban before by Canada and other things.
As long as your truthfull in filling your visa form for the countries and you didn't breach their immigration policy, they will surely give you visa.

I won't advice you to challenge the ban using a lawyer bcus it will cost you money and time, unless your willing and have the resources to challenge it in a court.
But before you hire a lawyer if your thinking of getting one, make sure you know the reason why you were ban and to know if unfair judgement was passed to your application.
But if eventually, you truely breach the immigration law and you went and hire lawyer to fight for you,you will only be wasting your time and money bcus nothing will come out of it.
So I advise you to forget Canada for now and look for another country

Good day everyone, I have been following this thread for awhile and I have a few questions.

Firstly , I graduated with a poor grade at the university ( 3rd class ) im 30yrs .

What are the chances of getting a Canadian student visa ?

i plan on either of this options ;

1.applying for a Post Graduate degree .

2.masters programme

OR

3.starting Bsc afresh

i humbly require you honest advice on the best option to go for.

note: pof is also available but in assets

thanks

Right now your best bet is to opt in for Post Graduate degree bcus it will be extremely difficult for you to get a program in Masters degree due to your grade, cus master degree programs are competitive so they consider applicants with good grades first.

Secondly, at your age , make sure you have a personal asset of your own (Home Ties) bcus it will add more strength to your Home Ties.

If there is any other thing, feel free to post it here
