PoliticsRe: Minister Of Aviation Declares War On Yoruba – by masu: 5:56am On Feb 24, 2013
the writer fail to point out for us that yorubas in that ministry have ruined and run down the ministry.
incase yorubas population in the ministry were due to capability so then why did the ministry ruined in their watch.
abeg lets try other tribes joor.

he also failed to tell us how come the ministry are filled up majorly with yorubas.
come on the war is over we need to balance things, does that mean that other tribes has lesser capable graduates. you guys wants us to gangup against ibos wereby all this years you dominated the ministry and no one cry marginalization.
PoliticsRe: Minister Of Aviation Declares War On Yoruba – by masu: 5:07am On Feb 24, 2013
i hate it when any tribe are been marginalize in this country especialy the major tribes,
my fear is that if cow head can lost in the pot wat then will happen to smaller parts(minorities)?

invisibility of Yorubas in the scheme of things today is also marjorly caused by yorubas as the writer rightly pointed out.
but it will be bad if ibos are the people to marginalize the yorubas in any ministry,

but then why is it the yorubas were the people badly affected by this reform?
maybe because yorubas has forever marginalize other nigeria tribes in that ministry God knows how long.
FamilyRe: The Recent Kidnap And Release Of Kemisola Uthman by masu:
Kemisola lost her mother on Wednesday 26th December 2012 and returned to Nigeria with her husband, Akin from the United States for the burial after living there for about a year. Sadly, she was kidnapped at about 8.30pm in Ajah, Lagos on Sunday 10th February 2013.

She was kidnapped about one minute's drive to her Abraham Adesanya Estate home in Ajah. A family member who spoke anonymously told Punch:

"Kemisola and her husband just got an apartment in Abraham Adesanya Estate. In fact, they moved in less than a month ago. The day she was kidnapped, she was coming back from a visit to her father who lives in Ikorodu. When she got to Jeffery Plaza, which is about a minute's drive to her house, some men double-crossed her Murano Sport Utility Vehicle, took control of the car and took her away in it. We actually got the details from people who witnessed it around the plaza. They said the kidnappers shot into the air and zoomed away with her in the car."

The following day, her SUV was discovered in the front of Ogombo Police Station, Ajah with one of her shoes in it. The kidnappers later called her husband with Kemisola's phone, Punch reports.

"They called about 11.41 am on Monday. The speaker clearly sounded like an Igbo man. He said, 'Where are you?' But when Yinka said he was in the house, the speaker asked again 'Are you sure? Are you sure you are in the house? Yinka insisted that he was in the house. He told them he wanted to speak with Kemisola and they gave the phone to her. Kemi sounded very distraught on the phone. She was begging her husband to please help her and do everything the men demanded."

But it was learnt that the kidnappers disconnected the call after they instructed Yinka to call them later by 2pm on Monday. The kidnappers later called on Monday night and demanded N60 million for Kemisola's release, the relation told Punch.

"When they asked for the money, we were all shocked. We pleaded with them, but they were threatening to kill her. How do we get N60 million? We are not politicians. Yinka is just a salary earner while Kemisola has not even got a job since they got back to Nigeria."

On Tuesday, the kidnappers called again with their own number, sounding anxious and insisting that the N60 million should be paid as soon as possible. She said the kidnappers called about 10 times repeating their demand and asking when it would be paid.

"The man who spoke on the phone said, 'We will kill her if you don't pay. We kidnapped two other women and we have already killed them because they did not pay what we demanded'."

But thankfully, a family member, who spoke with Punch last night confirmed that Kemisola has been released.

"Kemi told us she was beaten brutally. They dropped her off along the Lekki-Epe Expressway around 8pm on Thursday. Luckily, she was able to get help from motorists and later contacted us. We paid the ransom on Thursday morning after the kidnappers played different tricks to ensure they evaded capture. They thought we had involved the police. We just thank God we have her back. But she's not in any condition to answer any questions for now. She is resting."

This unfortunate incidence coming just weeks after this family returned back home with the intention of settling down must have raised a lot of doubts about the decision and the security situation in Nigeria. The rate of kidnappings keeps rising daily and Nigerians are very upset about this.
The speaker clearly sounded like an Igbo man
as in their accent or their courage or as in love of money? how do u want a yoruba to see his ibo neighbour GOING BY THIS REPORT.

to me this is the worst reporting so far this year. D case is not evn with the police and they come open to put alegation on a tribe.
i hence suggest that the moderators should delete this thread. i peraonaly sees it as tribal bashing gone too far. if its abt yorubas i knw by now it has been deleted. sorry for thIS observation but its truth.

1) why didnt they report the matter to police instead they choose press. police can atleast try looking for the kidnapers but press will just creat publication.

2)kidnapping deal of #60ml($375,000) is not, i repeat is not possible without police knowledge. no body wil pay such huge ramsom without involving the police.
by the tune of this info i blv its just junk not true. BUT IF IT IS TRUE POLICE NEED TO ARREST THOSE WHO PAID THE MONEY.

Lastly i must tell our yoruba and ibo bros in here to stop this everyday bashing, it is becoming too childish to me.
but i must tell yorubas to learn how to keep shut bcuz you guys love ranting online and in newspapers like women,

One love.
FamilyRe: The Recent Kidnap And Release Of Kemisola Uthman by masu: 4:10pm On Feb 17, 2013
1121: i strongly doubt if that amt was paid. Even finance minister, 1 time word bank manager, paid only 10mil 4 d release of her mother. How much more a bloody salary earner. Tank God she is alive. I hope she wont consider relocation. As of the 'ibo voice' issue, i thing there is nothing wrong in press report being detail and factual

for me that line is very very wrong. this mentality alone spoiled the whole reporting post to be sincere. this type of insinuation is enuf for our core-northern bros to start killing any innocent igboman on sight.

there are kidnappers in every geo-region and learning of accent to disguise an identity is nothing hard. too many ibos and yorubas speak cunk hausa with hausa accent. too many ibos, edos etc speaks yoruba different dialect even better than some yorubas. same are for ibos.

truth be told i realy dont know wat ibos did to yorubas. anytin ibo irritates yorubas for real and i blv time has come for them to change that mind set.even here in jos my yoruba friends often use hate speech against our ibo friends especialy when they are not around. even in little tins.
b4 anyone wil insult me pls am not from any of the two tribe.

sorry am out
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 2:31am On Feb 14, 2013
Alj harem:I doubt if you are from plateau and even if that is the case. What exactly are you saying ?
We should accept Igbo rule over Yorubas or what Please be clear
Or we should accept the lies of ACHEBE ? Make yourself clear. I don't think you understand even the people of plateau's position not to talk of yorubas cus if you do you would not be talking out of ignorance here.
Ok let me make myself clear now so it is easy for you and anyother pro-southern Nigeria
1. Yorubas would not accept Achebe's lies. This is not an attack on the Igbos or debunking Achebe's lies
2. If Igbos knowing how tribalistic Achebe sounded still support him, then it shows the sort of people we are breeding in Nigeria and that would not be accepted as well.
3. Yorubas don't likes Hausa or fulanis nether do they hate them. We would support any group that fights for justice.
4. VERY IMPORTANT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS POINT * Yorubas would not form a southern Nigeria with Igbos current attitudes of victimization and superority complex they have on themselves. I do not want to wake up and be told that "we are the best" we are this we are that every day. I want a country were I can meet my Itsekiri or Ijebu or Ijaw etc brother and we can walk beside each other as equals beside financial statue.
5. Yorubas don't hate the Igbos infact Yorubas are the only group that love Igbos the most because we UNDERSTAND THEM well. That is the truth and we understand the way they think even better. As an igbo poster rightly stated here "oil (yoruba) and water (igbos) can never mix" (Onlytruth quote) that is the case of southern nigeria.
Also as Achebe rightly said "His yoruba people" showing he did not see us as one people.
6. A yoruba man JUST WANT PEACE OF MIND AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF HIS PEOPLE. We do not like wars, chest beating and lies. Just peace so we can live normal lives.
I hope I am clearer now
Maybe you have not been reading my posts all the while. i said fulanis are our problem not yoruba not igbo etc.
the case of Achebe deserves lttle response from yorubas not too many responses here and there bcus that will make it yoruba vs igbo fight.
fulanis brings up the propaganda against the igbos we all fought the war and fulanis took the victory. can you see wat i mean.

yorubas doesnt hate igbos neighter do igbos hate yorubas,
tell me what then should stop them teaming up to deliver us all from fulanis.

competition is common in life.
Ghana/S.Africa seems to be competing with nigeria,
france competes with britain.
Spain competes with Italy.
china competes America.
S.Korea competes Japan
malasia competes Singapore
macau competes hongkong
thailand competes taiwan
Argentina competes Brazil
so wat big deal with yoruba igbo competition?
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 2:15am On Feb 14, 2013
Alj harem blv me when i say fulani's are a deadly virus to us all not the south nor the beltans.

you can see how difficult it is for you to remember the igbo vs yoruba tribal fight, but last year alone
fulani's fought in many states in the south and beltans(enugu, imo, delta, edo, ogun, ondo, oyo, ekiti, kwara, benue, plataue, nasarawa etc)

can you see it pal. Gideon Okar knows better and we knows it too and that is whay i try to inform any southern and beltans that want to know.

what i see in yoruba and igbos is just life normal competition that is blown out of propotion.
this two group has made nigeria proud to the world.

i cannever be a party that will fight southerners again or choose core north(fulani/hausa/kanuri) above southerners or beltans.
it will be dificult for igbos to name 3 things yorubas did against them and also dificult for yorubas to name 3 things igbos did against them.

but fulanis has delt with us all uncountable times even in our remote villages. bro if you come to plataue we have more to tell the nation.
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 1:55am On Feb 14, 2013
ALJ HAREM: Would you shut it
Table turn to what ? So you expect Yorubas to accept the lies of Achebe ?
Hausa/Fulani are not OUR ENEMIES. Get that into your skull, what part of the middlebelt are you ? Please answer my question because Fulanis are indigenous to 4 middlebelters states which are out of the 6 territoties in the middle belt
Why do you hate the Hausa/fulani so much ? And if so, why did you allow them to use you during the war. Or how many Hausa faulani fought during the war ? compare to "middle belters"
This rubbish about Middlebelt really has to end, when did Middlebelt which is majority Fulani, Yoruba, Idoma, Nupe and Igala become biafra.
If Achebe had any wisdom he should not have added Yoruba because we would respond if there is any lies that would tarnish our image as an Ethnic Nation. That is a fact.
If it means it is seen as a yoruba vs Igbo war, then so be it because Yoruba nation accept the lies of a man would response is not possible
AM FROM PLATAUE STAE:
now listen stop geting angry for nothing that is the why i see the danger in igbo vs yoruba fight,
i some how doubt your yoruba identity for real bcus you accept yoruba versus igbo war too easy while you vehemently object fulani/hausa been a problem to us all.
am scratching my head to blv or not if you are yoruba for real but for now let me look the other way.

as a plataue man i can tell you with first hand info that we are regreting the war, we fought wrong people.
let me point out for you atleast 4 state in the belt: kwara/nasarawa/plataue and benue has seen the true color of fulanis till date read news bro.

you yorubas are a bit far away from this monsters now but i promise you if they finishes with us there will be no where the south can hide.
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 1:34am On Feb 14, 2013
alj harem you as a yoruba man will agree with me that you can choose a self centered man than deadly friend.

use kwara war and usman dan fodio as case study.

you are a yoruba but we are beltans and i can tell you better whom fulanis are.

an eastern/western and beltans/deltans still hav feelins in their evil. but fulanis is no no.

you cant see any southerner nor beltans fighting against their host community any where in nigeria but only fulanis are doing it from time immemorial.
its genetic in them that is why from dan fodio time till now they have not changed.

that is why i blv like Gideon okar that nigeria war should be we vs fulanis and hausa/kanuris if they choose to fight alongside of fulanis.
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 1:21am On Feb 14, 2013
ahj harem:I guess KNOW you did not read the article because if you took your time to read and understand the distrust Achebe has made in Nigeria you would not be making such statement.
I mean Omogui too has commented about the book apart from Buhari. Are they also yorubas ?
When I talk to be people (from all corners of Nigeria) and they tell me that Igbos Should never be allowed to rule Nigeria I usually say it a lie and argue it out until A GHANAIAN-NIGERIAN actually told me that Igbos are too self-centred and fell superior to others that I realised the truth in his statement.
I have close Igbo family and friends but I tell them to their faces that as far as I am concerned. Igbos are not the best people in Nigeria and THEY AGREE WITH ME SURPRISE but not too surprisingly because they know their people.
you dont get it, i personaly has no prob with who or not that governs the nation.
i love yoruba people thats why i can point out the danger in their way,
i dont trust fulani friendship at all and this is the people yorubas are coperating with.

on the issue of self centeredness, i think its true about the igbos but hey fulani's are worst bcus from their culture to religion they see others as inferior.
common this is a general thing even ghanians see other africans as nobody that we all need ghanian leadership to progress,
yorubas see other nigerian groups as illitrates and fools.
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 1:11am On Feb 14, 2013
i blv yorubas are fighting other peoples(hausa/fulani) fight unknowingly.

for me as a middlebeltan our major problem in nigeria is fulani's,
the earlier we know this truth the better for us all.

too many Ndeltans and Mbeltans are cool with igbos and yorubas.
we all hav issues with hausa/fulani from the time of Usman dan fodio.

but igbos should quit crying like babies though anygroup that lost upto two million kitts/kins in a
war can never wipe it under the table truth be told.

yorubas should quit making the whole thing yoruba versus igbo affair bcus tables can turn,
hausa/fulanis are the worst allies one may need in time of trouble. i hope u knw wat i mean.
PoliticsRe: Prof Achebe's "There Was A Country" Is Meticulously Torn Apart & Shredded by masu: 12:54am On Feb 14, 2013
when did yoruba group alone become nigeria as a nation?

I blv Achebe book was against nigeria war time attitude towards igbos/biafra his people, but what i don't understand
is why only yorubas keep replying everyday till eternity? this is how enemity starts.

dont even tell me its bcus he mention awolowo/yoruba in his book, Achebe equaly indite every other tribe in the same book
he criticize his igbo nation about thier ungovernable nature.

why why why i dont get it. am out of this tribal nonsense.

besides, that guy in the picture looks like "KATSMOTO" for real bcuz he once claim living in Japan and the background comfirms it.
lastly anybody that knows him should advice him not to use his local NL champion attitude to come outside.
there are many experts out there. am just advicing i no be igbo nor yoruba.

BY CROWE;
America is invested in Texas, the land more so than its people. Texas doesn't like Obama so they want to take their cake and go,
This is why the world is a messed up place, dialogue is the solution here, the same america invested in bahamas more than bahamians, how do they manage it, let them manage it the same way.
2)your second point is laufable, check your facts well bcus long b4 obama texas has been demanding for freedom. but even if they want out bcus of obama if i hav been living hapily in apartment until the new house owner whom i dislike, dnt i hav right to pack out. wat is wrong with human being.

they cannot be allowed to do that and if the tables were turned Texas wouldn't want other states to leave. This is not about freedom it is about selfishness and irrationality.
there is always a weak reason for a dominant to refuse freedom to his captors.
the japanese never knw the value of freedom and how others cherish freedom untill they loose WW2.
Foreign AffairsRe: White House Rejects Texas Petition To Secede From USA! by masu:
its so sweet and easy to play God on minorities or others we hold down,

slaves want freedom
servants want freedom
prisoners want freedom
abductrs want freedom

why is it hard to let them have it.
even if they accept the union yesterday cant they change mind today.

wateva reason texas want out of USA, as soon as majority of them suports it let them have it its their right.
EVEN GOD GAVE US WILL AND CHOICE and that is freedom.
GOD gave man freedom but man deny freedom on another. SHAME.
Foreign AffairsRe: White House Rejects Texas Petition To Secede From USA! by masu: 6:35am On Feb 13, 2013
those that gain more in any relationship never want others out.
its a worldwide thing, though they preach freedom freedom always but they mean slavery.

if texas want out its their choice let them have it.
i hate it when ppl are denied of their human right(freedom).

turn around the tide and see these guys that hold them down crying like baby for freedom too
