@ annibro, yes I took coq10 3 months before I started my protocol and stopped a day before egg retrieval, same with all the other drugs. The only drugs I continued was the aspirin and folic acid. I started pregnancare original when I confirmed my bfp. Coq10 is taken one in the morning and one in the evening.

I am so happy to come accross a post like this. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2010. Prior to diagnosis I used to have unbearable menstrual cramps and nonstop heavy periods and pains during number 2. In 2010 painkillers stopped working, my periods became a nightmare. I am always rushed to the hospital on emergency and injected with pentalucin. Endometriosis affected every area of my life, I was always on sick leave and sex is a nightmare.

I had a sugery to take out cysts in 2012. In 2013, I developed another cyst plus adhesions which blocked my ureters and caused my kidneys to enlarge. I had to travel out to remove the cyst and get stents implanted . I will be on hormones to stop my period till I am ready for children.

I don't have kids yet but I strongly believe in Jesus name that I will have my own kids when the time comes and will come back here to testify.

Endometriosis is real!

Hi,

I had an IVF at Srushti fertility centre in chennai. I guess you guys need to look at this option as it has worked for me. The main reasons i travelled all the way to Chennai India to have my treatment are

1. Only half the costs of IVF in Nigeria

2. The drs are highly experienced - they know what they are doing - very confident and caring

3. I was given a personalized IVF protocol to give maximum results

4. I was thought yoga and was given acupuncture and yoga sessions during the course of the treatment which helped me to control my anxiety. My body's flexibility improved so well.

5. Chennai city is a place I want to return for my vacation soon. Such a nice place and its highly safe. Cops are always out there for your security.

Hello Nairalanders,I've been a silent reader on this thread since 2012.I suffered from endometriosis and i must say it was a very challenging situation for me,from the excrutiating af pains uptil ovulation to my inability to get pregnant and terrible pains sometimes through out the cycle,it was hell for me.At a point i was just praying to have my peace at least even if no child yet.It was horrible!Sometimes i wondered how a baby would be sustained in such a hostile environment.I learnt how to manage that devilish pain and barely managed to get by.I was even so scared of having hsg done because i felt on daily basis i had pains so how would i survive an hsg.I have just come to encourage as many of us who have suffered from endometriosis and endometrioma that there is light at the end of the tunnel and God surely answers and he can make it happen for us.I hoped and prayed for it to happen naturally but the lord opened my eyes to ivf and it was a success.Pls don't lose hope.God answers.

[color=#006600][/color] my dear we are in same pot of soup.was diagnosed of endometriosis stage 3 last year July.developed a cyst on the right ovary after stimulating for ivf in November,however I did not go via with the ivf. Right now I'm trying natural methods to relieve the endometriosis pain and reduce adhesion and maybe shrink the cyst while ttc naturally.For one month now I've been taking Apple cider vinegar every day,2teaspoons in warm water morning and evenings. Massaging my abdomen gently (husband helps with this) with castor oil every other day and placing warm water bottle/pad on it after massage to allow maximum penetration of the castor oil(stop this around ovulation because the heat may harm the eggs). I also take cord liver oil (fermented cord liver oil is preferable). I read that all these may lesson endometriosis adhesion and shrink any cyst/fibriod and unblock fallopian tubes. I think it helps bc I had no pain with af this month which is unusual.Going in for an MRI scan on Wednesday so I will find out any improvement at all.
Endometriosis hurts but everything will be ok by God's grace.Fertility blessings my dear

Endo. Hmmm. That annoying endo. But it can be overcome.
1. Go on an endo diet. Stay away from gluten. Reduce diary,sugar, red meat and other inflammatory and estrogenic foods
2. Increase your anti inflammatory foods-Ginger, garlic,cabbage, fruits, green veggies. Find a way to add veggies to every meal and reduce the starch.
3. Discuss a long lupron treatment with your doc. 3-4 months before ovulation induction. This should quiet the ovaries and the cysts and you can use your own eggs. IVF docs are quick to suggest donor eggs, its good business for them.
4. Look into serrapetase and nattokinase enzymes. You can use this concurrently with the Lupron.It supposedly destroys endo, cysts and adhesions. I read the reviews and got mine. Started 2 days ago. Usually my uterus holds my flow and all I get is brown scanty flow but since I started my flow has been red and full so I guess something is haPpening.It won't hurt to try
5. Exercise. Pray. Wait. Hope

@pilotchic and @ayaakanoh, progesterone tab is usually taken 2 days after ovulation cos if taken too early it will hinder ovulation, normally ur body starts producing progesterone after ovulation to prepare ur womb for implantation and to carry the pregnancy. My gynae said taking progesterone is not neccessary till u miss ur period and confirm ur pregnancy and besides its a waste of money...but same doctor if you dare agree for IVF, they will place you on all manner of progesterone available, the tablets, injection, the cream, the one insert in ur VJ, eye, nose, ear, the one to wear as a cap and infact a coverall and helmet progesterone if there is such just to ensure you get pregnant, for me that's a propaganda, they treat naturally conception with kids glove and pamper IVF thereby making people feel IVf is the way, if they put same effort they put in IVF in naturally conception the success rate will be high as well.

I just want to share my feelings with u mamas, am tired of this wicked life, i have been crying and crying since Saturday. After been tested for low positive {bfp} twice, my gyn advised we should go for a scan, which we did and nothing was found,am just fed up of this life,ttc for 6 yrs and above with unexplained infertility, failed iui & failed ivf dont really know what to do again. it is not easy at all. am just fed up of the whole thing. am going crazy.

@gingerspice it is well with you. I know the feeling of disappointment and anger can be overwhelming sometimes let me share a part of my testimony with you. just before egg retrieval, I noticed my lower abdomen was really aching I just tot maybe it is normal. It was so painful I had to look around to see those that came for scan everyone was looking happy and normal- I told yourself see your mates ! Fast forward till egg retrieval day I was there from about 7am till 6pm why? Because I couldn't just stand up and I was like 'my mates'have left the hospital since 12 I am still here. It took one throwing up session for me to gather strength to walk into the car. Days after egg retrieval I had no mates around to check to see if they were uncomfortable and having tommyaches as well. I just told myself it would be over in a couple of days. I started calling 'my mates' again to find out if all I was feeling was normal That was just the beginning.

My sister, 3 days later I just woke my husband up early in the morning that I knew I was going to die that day he should just call them in the hospital to let them know we were coming I felt like hell. Our transfer was in 2 days but that was the least of things on my mind. The next 72 hours all I was doing was calling on God to spare my Life even as the transfer was done in the midst of this and the doctor kept on assuring me My embies would be fine and severe OHSS doesn't affect their growth or attachment. Na that one I dey talk?? I say make I just feel normal again I couldn't sleep without being induced to sleep. From 5.00pm I would have started lobbying for sleeping injection. meanwhile 'my mates' walked in on transfer day and walked out to go home. I had a procedure called paracentesis and I spent days in pain draining water from my 6months pregnant-looking stomach.


Why I am saying all of this- I was also in a limbo of emotion pain anger and discomfort. Sometimes I was in anger and when I couldn't sleep I would beg my husband to lay his hands on my stomach and pray. Why was I angry?-cos I had given up on the embies transferred, we had spent so much and this unexpected wahala just started which meant spending more, why did God have to make me go through the Wahala? At least I have read here pple going for IVF, ICSI no stories are they not'my ttc mates' why was I different? I had been through enough I just wanted to be well. Though the process was slow, I healed slowly and got my BFP! In retrospect I don't think I would have been more hurt if I went through all that pain and suffering and I didn't have a good news. I just thank God for life and Good health cos 1 single morning sickness like this I nor get. Instead Na chop I dey chop. I just recently learnt from one lady in imo state about mbanefo clinic in Enugu. The only info I got was that her 2 colleagues did Ivf there and got BFNs. Sorry! I wish I knew more. I checked their website last 3 weeks and it wasn't looking robust, like as if they just started.
Why don't u go there and scope them out. See if u can talk to their patients and get a feel of their success rates

@Didiva thank God u're ok. @twintower he may need to see a urologist to confirm certain things. meanwhile, let his doc work on the hormone, it might be the problem. @matgeezy heard they're good. Though you know its private. Last I asked someone told me IVF costs about 650k there. That was earlier in the year. I didn't ask much questions as I'm not ready to go that route yet. About success rate, was also told good and that they usually update it on their board in the hospital. Only 3 people I know that went thru IVF and all were successful but one later lost hers due to fibroid which she was initially told its insignificant. But at about 10wks she lost hers as cramp continued, the rest is story. But they'll have to run prelim. tests which will be roughly 15k or more depending on ur case. But fertility registration is 5k flat.
