FreeStuffsNG: United Nations has already responded.
This was the kind of question a British/American journalist asked a Chinese ambassador who immediately fired a salvo at the journalist "you are obviously ignorant (more like daft and ignorant ) of the basic principle of China's diplomacy" she replied the journalist . I was so shocked at that level of harsh response from a whole Ambassador I know that a Nigerian Ambassador will never answer so crudely.
Sincerely, that question that Naija blogger asked Mr Onyeama is fundamentally mediocre. The Minister did the right thing by ignoring it.
The right question should have been if Nigeria completely supports the UN Secretary's call to President Putin to withdraw his troops from Ukraine.
May God restore peace that surpasseth all human understanding in Russia and Ukraine.

[quote author= post=110493788]Countries and leaders usually react to humiliation in one of two ways — aggression or introspection. After China experienced what it called a “century of humiliation” from the West, it responded under Deng Xiaoping by essentially saying: “We’ll show you. We’ll beat you at your own game.”
When Putin felt humiliated by the West after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the expansion of NATO, he responded: “I’ll show you. I’ll beat up Ukraine.”
Yes, it’s all more complicated than that, but my point is this: This is Putin’s war. He’s a bad leader for Russia and its neighbors. But America and NATO are not just innocent bystanders in his evolution.
When a major conflict like Ukraine breaks out, journalists always ask themselves: “Where should I station myself?” Kyiv? Moscow? Munich? Washington? In this case, my answer is none of these. The only place to be for understanding this war is inside Russian President Vladimir Putin’s head. Putin is the most powerful, unchecked Russian leader since Stalin, and the timing of this war is a product of his ambitions, strategies and grievances.
But, with all of that said, America is not entirely innocent of fueling his fires.
How so? Putin views Ukraine’s ambition to leave his sphere of influence as both a strategic loss and a personal and national humiliation. In his speech on Monday, Putin literally said Ukraine has no claim to independence, but is instead an integral part of Russia, its people are “connected with us by blood, family ties.” Which is why Putin’s onslaught against Ukraine’s freely elected government feels like the geopolitical equivalent of an honor killing.
Putin is basically saying to Ukrainians (more of whom want to join the European Union than NATO): “You fell in love with the wrong guy. You will not run off with either NATO or the E.U. And if I have to club your government to death and drag you back home, I will

Penguin2: I beg to defer.
This attitude of having everything cheap in this country is the reason foreign investors are not enthusiastic to invest in so many sectors of the Nigerian economy.
These airline operators said they now buy aviation fuel at N410 per litre then add other charges that they pay at airports yet Nigerians want them to be doing Father Christmas for them.
Must you travel by air?
Look at Power Sector, we are against paying the right bills that will allow investors put the right money into buying and installing equipments and facilities that would have improved our light situation.
Now investors are not willing to borrow money and invest in the power sector because they can’t recoup such money since we insist on underpaying.
Same thing with subsidy.
We don’t want subsidy out even as it is totally unsustainable and highly weighing on the nation’s finances.
Please we need to stop that madness.
If we want quality, we must be ready to pay for it.
I’m sure most of those protesting are those who use 25k to book flight and take pictures to oppress people online to feed their fake live. Are you in Nigeria or elsewhere?? |

Penguin2: Nigerian voters are not cowards per se, the Igbo fear has just been planted in their subconsciousness over the years through Yoruba media.
And the intention of the Yorubas is that an Igbo man should get PDP ticket while a Yoruba man get APC ticket so that they (Yoruba) can amplify the Igbophobia to high heavens and make the rest of Nigerians vote for the Yoruba candidate out of fear of what Igbos will do.
So, you don’t blame the voters, blame the political elites who have made anti Igbo propaganda their winning tool since after the civil war. tis is the crux of the matter |
