Health › Re: No End In Sight To My Medical Problems; I Might Be Dying Slowly by Matinho: 3:15am On Jul 03, 2017 |
CrescentMoon: The first time I became aware of me falling sick was in 2007. I was 26 at the time. Since then it has been a myriad of medical troubles.
It has been cycles of malaria, bacterial infections, disc problems and headache. Every night, I take drugs before I could be able to sleep. I always have antimalarials, antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxants handy. If malaria symptoms occur, I would take antimalarials and there would be improvement within minutes. And would then complete the dosage in 3 days. By fourth day, symptoms of bacteria infection would occur; I would take ciprofloxacin and get relieved within minutes. Once I complete the dosage, headache would strike, and once aspirin is taken, I get well. But I would keep repeating aspirin every night until gastric ulceration sets in. I would then buy omeprasole and cimetidine to treat ulcer. While ulcer treatment is ongoing, malaria would strike again, and I would take antimalarials. If antimalarials don't work, I would know that the symptoms are bacterial and take antibiotic. If there is no relief, I would combine antimalarials and antibiotic and there would be a relief. It has been like this since 2007. I don't go to hospital again because I have grown to know these symptoms and what doctors would prescribe.
For the past 2 weeks, I have been battling 'herniated disc' problem in my lower back. It started the day I bent down suddenly and I heard a snapping sound at my back bone. I started using norflex, calcium supplement and diclofenac. I feel mild relief because I can't stop my daily hustle to rest while the disc heals. If I dont work in a day, I won't eat or pay bills.
Note that I undergo HIV test almost weekly.
How do the poor tackle medical problems in this hellhole of a country?
Lalasticlal.a, please help me move this to fp. You are the major cause of your problems : 1.Abuse of antibiotics and therefore bacteria have developed a progressive resistance 2.You have practised unprescribed polypharmacy 3.Cimetidine is a big no no.It is foolhardy if you went to buy this drug on your own and i believe no competent physician will ever prescribe that to you. 4.Did you know one of the major side effects of ciprofloxacin is tendon rupture?I hope you are not a woman who hopes to get pregnant someday and use this drug without prescription when u are pregnant 5.Why the hell are you doing a weekly HIV test? 6.Aspirin overuse has injured your gastric and duodenal mucosa with considerable morbidity and mortality I would say Anyways bottomline.Stop using yourself as a pharmaceutical guinea pig or at least if you really want to sacrifice yourself,I would say find researchers in Phase I or II clinical trials and surrender yourself to be used as an experimental model for drug studies.Otherwise practice a holistic approach to your health and have a personal physician who can work up your diagnosis with proper history taking and physical exams. You are really harming yourself. |

The ultimate solution is to show us the certificate.Truth is anyone can take these pictures but without people seeing the certificate, they will continue to doubt the credibility of Dino's claim. He is showing every other thing without showing us his certificate. |

If you can describe the pain as ' the worst headache of your life' , you might want to get your blood pressure checked.....,a proper history needs to be taken, so its advisable to see your GP too.Usually such excruciating pain is seen in patients with a sub-arachnoid bleed. |
Health › Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Matinho: 5:51am On Aug 06, 2016 |
Xiadnat: Survival is good if treated/suppressed up to 98 percent. Percentage goes down the more active viral shedding is and the greater the liver damage.
You can have "normal" life- it is transmitted via blood so your spouse/children do not have contract if care taken Transmitted through BODY FLUIDS, but needlestick injury (blood) is most common culprit. |

JayJustus: lol...see this nigga...my parents have been sending me money through western union since last year with first bank...why are you so outdated? anyway...see my receipt of collection and see the ORIGINATING COUNTRY...don't argue blindly @tdayof come see this certified mumu oooo I should be asking you the question my friend 'Why are you so outdated'. Nobody said your parents did not send you money by WU or not but today is December 23, 2015 and I put it to you that as of this day, you cannot send money out of the country via Western Union because the banks have suspended this service. You are the one arguing blindly and unfortunately you have even resorted to insult which is no surprise that you cannot even comprehend a simple statement. Maybe you should consider keeping up with news and happenings in Nigeria than waste precious time on abusive language. |

uchetobi: I don't have to go to Tomoro and come back, I received here in Houston last week Friday from my mom sent through first bank If it's unavailable today, it's because the participating banks have exhausted their quota for the quarter, This is after all the last week of the quarter and of the year Stop driving panic I am astonished that you speaking through all four cardinal points.Nobody is driving panic.I made a very concise initial statement. My friend, opinions are free and facts are sacred and the fact remains that you could not send money through western union as at the time I wrote until this moment. The poster needed an option to send money,it would have been a fools errand if he went to the bank for that purpose. The language of the statement was basic enough for all and sundry to comprehend. |
