Another chance towards peace is never a bad idea......let Iran take advantage of the situation and sign the deal as well as avoid any mistake(like downing that Apache helicopter) that would further scuttle the peace talks......the rest of the world will most likely be vying for peace in other to see energy and other petrochemical derivatives more stabilized and affordable.
Foreign AffairsPresident Trump Announces He Is Cancelling Planned Strikes And Bombings On Iran. by Mattswaggz(op): 9:17pm On Jun 11
The move comes as the president says discussions with the "highest level of Iranian leadership" have taken a positive turn, and that "final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved."

Trump revealing that a time and place for a potential deal-signing will be announced "shortly."

The president’s comments mark a shift after two nights of attacks between the two countries, coming hours after he said the U.S. would hit Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT.”

"We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran, and we’re going to be subject to finalization of documents, which should get done over the next few days." he said.

Trump added, "Probably have a signing, maybe in Europe, and great thing, stock markets up 1000 points, that means they like the deal."

Iran did not confirm that a deal had been reached. The semiofficial Tasnim news agency cautioned: “Until any potential understanding is officially announced by Iran, any statements by Trump on this matter should be viewed in the context of his previous claims.”

Trump said in the post earlier that “discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved,” which the president said included the U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and others.

“The Naval Blockade will remain in full force and effect until this Transaction is finalized — Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly,” he said.

PoliticsSenate Orders Arrest Of Bandits Flaunting Cash On Tiktok by Mattswaggz(op): 4:57pm On Jun 11
The Senate on Thursday called on security agencies to urgently intensify surveillance and enforcement actions against bandits and terrorists who openly showcase their criminal activities and financial proceeds on social media platforms, particularly TikTok, amid growing concerns over the brazenness of criminal networks operating online.

The resolution followed a motion sponsored by Senator Sunday Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District, on the rising wave of bandit attacks and terrorist incursions in Kogi West and other parts of the country, as lawmakers again confronted the widening security crisis across multiple regions.

During deliberations, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, introduced an additional prayer calling for coordinated action by the Nigerian Police Force National Cybercrime Centre and other relevant security agencies to track, monitor and arrest individuals who use social media platforms to publicise criminal operations.

Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed alarm that armed groups were no longer operating covertly but were instead leveraging digital platforms to project influence, flaunt ill-got wealth and, in some cases, carry out public “giveaways” believed to be funded through criminal activity.

She said, “Bandits and terrorists who carry out these activities live on their social media handles. Two days ago, bandits conducted a giveaway, distributing over ₦100m within the space of 30 minutes through their social media handles, especially TikTok.”

The senator questioned why such overt digital footprints had not translated into arrests by relevant security agencies, particularly units mandated to track cyber-enabled crimes.

"I wonder why the Cybercrime Unit and the Police Force generally cannot track these activities and apprehend them since they are on social media. Therefore, I urge the Nigerian Police Force National Cybercrime Centre to track and arrest these individuals,” she stated.

The additional prayer was seconded by Senator Osita Ngwu of Enugu West Senatorial District and received broad support across party lines, reflecting growing legislative concern over the intersection of insecurity and unchecked digital exposure by criminal elements.

Responding to the development, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio described the conduct of the suspects as a direct affront to state authority and a troubling display of impunity.

“The Department of State Services should be able to track their movements and arrest them because this is a show of impunity, as if there is no law at all,” Akpabio said.

He warned that the open circulation of videos showing cash displays and criminal activities on social media platforms amounted to a deliberate attempt to ridicule government institutions and undermine public confidence in the country’s security architecture.

“I do not see why we should not have control over the social media space. That idea of showing themselves, showing the cash collected and displaying it is a way of challenging the government,” he added.

The Senate President urged intelligence and security agencies to treat the matter as an urgent national security priority, calling for improved coordination and real-time response to online intelligence.

"I want the security agencies and heads of security services to see this as a major challenge. Whenever anybody finds such content, bring it to the attention of the Senate, and we shall invite the relevant federal authorities to explain why those people have not been apprehended,” he said.

He also emphasised the need for accountability mechanisms that would ensure the public is informed once arrests are made and prosecutions commenced.

“If they are apprehended, they should also report back so that Nigerians can know that those who openly show their faces while committing crimes are being arrested and prosecuted,” the Senate President stated.

You are part of the reason our country struggles to move forward. Rather than taking an informed and objective view of issues, you resort to sentiment and blame one man for the challenges of a nation of over 250 million people.
Instead of constantly looking for someone to blame, why not acknowledge the role of individuals who vandalize and steal equipment meant for the smooth operation of public infrastructure, including train services? Must the President personally manage railway operations as well?
If there are failures within the transport system, your criticism should be directed at the responsible agencies and officials, including those entrusted with managing daily operations. Demand accountability from the appropriate authorities, such as the Ministry of Transport and operational managers, rather than reducing every issue to political blame.
Real progress comes from responsibility, accountability, and constructive engagement—not from uninformed accusations and endless fault-finding. :::
Who appoints the minister of transport?.

On the contrary, racism is not just about Africa as a place. African Americans don't have it any easier.

Doesn't mean we can't dispel the notion of loincloths and swinging vines and stone tools.
Why not Chinese-Americans,Indian-Americans, European-Americans......why must it be black Americans at the end of such racism mostly?......does that tell you something?...what does it tell you?.

I do not even agree with @MattSwaggz but you just indirectly proved him right with the emboldened.

If negroid skin is a curse in the world as you claim, then those with negroid skin should organize and construct their nations so that they will not have to be travel/live in countries where they are constantly humiliated and discriminated against by other groups because of their negroid skin.

The End.
Gbam..... instead of directing one's anger towards the right wing leaders of the west, why not direct it inwards and do the needful..... China didn't get respect by demanding it..they worked towards achieving it.

Even the US was once colonized by UK but now UK dare not mess around with them..... people who haven't gotten to the stage of accepting their own shortcomings and working towards self development other than blaming others for their woes are still very far from redemption.

I'm not against fixing our own backyard.

But that doesn't mean we should accept the subhuman label slapped on us. Rather, we should venture out there in the world and prove some of their stereotypes wrong. It won't cure all racist tropes, but it'll lessen the misconception

If we all stay home then they'll continue harboring their wrong perceptions, every last one of them.

I've bene in conversations with people who truly were curious about us and the more they learn, the more their horizon is broadened and they come off it different people.

Have you seen some of the videos online of white people tasting and even loving Nigerian cuisine?
You'll need to be on par with them or even above them to prove them wrong....actions speaks louder than words.....and I can tell you this for free Africa is still far from being on par with them.

Are you familiar with the concept of racism?

They don't tend to look down on people who look like them. The most diverse color on earth is.... black. Shocker, I know. So racism largely targets black people, then brown people, then yellow people. Russians and Germans are caucasoid, while Chinese are actually paler than white people (the same Chinese are racist towards blacks but not to whites).

And then there's the denigrating assumption that all black African countries are 3rd world decrepit hellholes where the people are subhuman lazy criminal bums out for welfare and crime. Trump himself says as much.

It's all because of our skin color and the many stereotypes that begat.

Do you know that white people believe ancient Egyptians are white, no matter the evidence? Because they refuse to accept black people are so civilized thousands of years ago they can build the pyramids and sphinx. Either white people did it, or aliens.

Face it, negroid skin is a curse in the world.
Still not getting it right?...... respect is earned.....if any black country were to be as strong as those countries I mentioned no one will mistreat their citizens like that.....but then with how backward most Africa countries are haven't they been justified that the continent is mostly filled with third world countries?.

There are no Americans living in Nigeria, Sudan, India, etc?

It's not everyone who migrates for economic reasons you know.

America was founded by immigrants and built by immigrants.

No one says immigration shouldn't be controlled but trump is simply a deranged racist. Have you seen his cabinet? How many people of color are there?
You still haven't gotten my point.....even if what you say is true, can he try it with Russians,Chinese,Germans etc?......why is Africa always at the receiving end of all the racism you're talking about almost all the time.....it only means that Africans are hardly rated and you know why.

Use the opportunity and anger to look inwards and do the needful because the west is tilting towards hard core anti immigration leaders nowadays.
