Best advice. Apply to all the available Graduate trainee jobs and continually seek out new ones. Banks, audit firms, oil and gas, insurance etc. This will enable you build your experience while earning cool cash. You can then channel this cash to advancing and fine tuning your IT skills. Once you feel you're ready, you can then leverage on the acquired skills and experience to explore your chosen career field. Do this now that you currently have age on your side. Ps. Note that all reputable companies have a functioning and vibrant IT department as well (you'll mostly likely be posted here). Regards. |

If you check your mail (or spam), you might just see something... |
esty101:I did too. Was perplexed as well. |
factorial1:Its unfortunate. I was thinking you guys would've finally been contacted by the recruiting company. |
factorial1:Like, seriously? |
Wow |
After religiously following the thread from page to page, I was disappointed when I couldn't feed my eyes with the pictures of the highly acclaimed "Omolara". I took an unpaid investigation into identifying her identity and it paid off. If you want to appease your curiosity, you will have to perform the little task stated below. Go to Facebook and sing this song by our beloved African China. " ...if I say 'Omo', you say 'Lara', another man say 'Smalls', omo na you sabi..." Sharp fellaz will understand... |
SYZZ:Check your mail again bro. Some peeps got theirs very late at night. |
factorial1:Wow! Congrats! What role did you apply? |
To add to what bros said... You'll need a really strong and stable internet connection (preferably 4g or higher). I learnt the hard way, cause I was rescheduled twice, due to network glitches. I learnt this was supposed to be a physical test, but the current epidemic ravaging the world, made it unattainable. The aforementioned, might therefore, become irrelevant to future applicants. |
Accounting 2.1 The only qualification I have, is my bsc. I guess it's luck. |
Since the application window is still open, it is logical to posit that more people will likely be shortlisted before the D day. My own opinion though. |
Very good write-up! God bless you. |
Most reputable companies in Nigeria seek the services of dragnet to cater for their human resource requirements. This assertion is more pronounced when these companies seek to fill "Trainee" positions. The implication of this, is that as a fresh graduate seeking employment, you're likely to come across them. Their recruitment process generally involves, initial shortlisting , aptitude test, accessment centers, and interviews. It is however pertinent to note that, the most challenging stage is the "aptitude test", which is the essence of this thread. The nature of the questions, absence of calculators and time constraint all contribute in making it one of the most difficult exams to pass as a job seeker. The purpose of this thread is for the elders of this forum, to please, proffer suggestions and insights, on how to emerge successful at this test. PS. I'll narrate my experience, as soon as possible. |
evuna:The deadline given to me was 7 days. A reminder was also sent to me on the 5th day. To me the disadvantage in using phones lies in the fact that a call can come in at anytime, which might distract you. Also, the smaller screen size can also be seen as a setback. Aside from the aforementioned, I think you're good to go. |
