I will advise you to reapply while submitting all the same documents used in the initial application. In addition to that endeavour to address the reason for the refusal comprehensively. Make sure you highlight all the points and bring to the attention of the visa officer the mistake the previous officer made.

Im budgeting expenses for my UK visa and I want to know if I'm on track

My salary is 1,200,000 monthly

My budget for travel is
Flight- 1,200,000
Accommodation: 534,000
Feeding: 534,000
Tourism: 427,200
Miscellaneous: 213,600

Total: 3,161,720

Kindly note my monthly expenses is about 240k because my husband takes care of households expenses

I have a fixed deposit of 7,000,000
My closing balance on my acc is about 6,700,000

The issue should be when you type the name on cac it doesn’t come up but when you put the rc number it comes up.
What should I do you advise I do next.

I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because: •
• You have applied to travel to the UK for a period of 4 days for the purpose of attending your sister's graduation. I have acknowledged that your sponsor is willing to provide adequate support for a limited visit to the United Kingdom; however, it is your circumstances and intentions which are paramount in assessing your application.
• You state that you are employed earning a monthly income of GHS 25,858.00-(£1,361.51 Oanda.com as on the 29/09/2024).
• You state that you have a husband and children in Nigeria. However, your family's wider social and economic circumstances are not demonstrated for me to be satisfied that visit is credible in relation to your wider circumstances in Nigeria.
• I have considered the various information submitted along with your application. I note that vou stated vou are employed with (JUST PAINT LTD), and I carried open-source checks, to which your company has no online presence. As such this casts doubt as to whether you are employed as stated and whether the declarations made in your visa application form are a reliable reflection of your current circumstances in your country of residence. As such, I am not satisfied that you have provided a reliable portrayal of your current personal circumstances nor satisfied that your intentions to visit the UK are as stated and that you will leave at the end of your visit.
In the light of above, I am not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated by you. I am therefore not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor.

Today makes it 15working days after i completed my biometric, however instead of being notified of the decision, I got this email

"Regarding your visa application we are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times.Do not contact UK Visa and Immigration, we will contact you if we require more information. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to make a decision as soon as possible."

Please what does this imply as I need to travel on or before June 4 for a Medical exam in the UK? Beyond this date the Visa is of no use

Show clear financial logic:

2. Submit a clear travel budget summary:

Break it down:

Flights: ~₦450,000 (state this even if not booked yet)
Accommodation: ₦199,500
Transport: ₦47,500
Feeding + pocket money: ₦200,000
Total: ₦900,000 (with 100–150K remaining as post-trip balance)
3. Add explanation of household support:

You should explain that your husband covers rent, bills, and family needs, which allows her to save more from her own salary.

Final Tip:
Do NOT understate your spending just to “stay within budget.” ECOs prefer realistic and honest budgets. If flights are expensive, it’s better to show:

“Yes, flights are high, but I’ve accounted for that and will still have funds left.”

1) for 3 of us we wrote we budgeted 2100 pounds but expenses will only consume 1850

2) I wrote the budget breakdown in the cover letter instead as follows:
Flight for me and my children: 1300 pounds
Living expenses for me and my kids: 250 pounds
Sightseeing and fun activities: 200 pounds
Miscellaneous: 100 pounds
Accommodation covered my sister we visiting
Total expenses: 1850
Total budget: 2100

3) I submitted his data page too

4)I stated that my income from my business is average of 350k monthly. This fluctuates as a business owner. Could be more in some months or less.

My question is with the high price of flight tickets can I still be within 2 months salary budget that's 900k for my 7 days trip.

Feeding for a week 90

That's £220 excluding flight ticket.

Please everyone advise how I can stay within 2 month budgets.

If your Husband sponsors the trip, it might work.

However, your monthly salary is low and that might be an issue.

I think I really need to share my little experience with the UKVI in order to help those having issues with INACTIVE status.

The truth is that UKVI is always looking for flimsy excuses to refuse your application. My uncle was one of the first set of applicants to be refused because of inactive status when he applied for renewal in April 2021.

I was furious when I read the refusal letter. I did a little research online to see why his business was inactive, and I found out that it was because of failing to file annual returns, which does not correlate with whether a business is trading or not, and CAC never informed the business owners or companies.

I sent a complaint email to HO blasting the ECO and accusing him/her of not being competent. Although the decision was not overturned for other stupid reason, but they accepted and noted my explanation regarding the issue of inactive. See the attached reply from the ECM.

We reapplied in September last year and we included the complaint email i sent to the HO in the application and his 5 years visa was granted.

So please, you can defend those nonsense excuses UKVI is using to refuse applications, especially those who are employed and your employer name is showing inactive.

Hi everyone, I’ve been worried lately. Had my biometric around early February, (dependent). Main applicant (student) has been approved and is already in the UK since March, the main applicant happens to be my wife. Paid mail was sent on the on 04/05/2022 and a response was received saying decision has been made that I just have to wait to receive my passport. I will like to know how long it going to take for me to receive collection email because I believe the wait is getting too long. Thank you

Sent email to UKVI- 04/04/2022 , Decision made, wait 10 working days for email to submit passport, I didn’t wait 10 days went to TLS ikeja the next day.
Passport ready for collection- 07/04/2022
Picked up- 08/04/2022.

I’m a Self employed, business man (not married), I use my personal account for my business (no company account). Invoice, one landed property (just the deed), cac documents, personal income tax, business photos, family photos, business invoice. Goodluck all.

Forget the tracking update from TLS. It’s unless, they probably have your passport waiting for you there now. Send a paid email to UKVI as encourage by the poster. And they would tell you whether a decision has been made on your application or not. If a decision has been made just turn up at TLS.

Good day my people, I am here to give back for I have learnt a lot from here.
I and my husband applied for UK Visit Visa and here is our timeline below;

--March 11th, 2022- Biometrics appointment, I did self-service by uploading all our documents online a day before.
--Hubby dropped his passport while I opt for "Keep my passport" option.
--- Hubby got a mail to pickup his passport on March 25th, 2022 while I got no message.
---March 29th,2022- I went with hubby to TLS V.I to lay a complain in respect of my Visa and the lady told me to send a Paid mail to UKVI if a decision has been made in respect of mine. I sent the mail that Morning, got a response by 1pm same day that a decision has been made, printed it out and fortunately for me, my passport was with me hence proceeded to drop both email and my passport at TLS V.I before they close by 3pm that day.
-- March 31st- I received an email to pick up by passport

Help me Praise God my people as we were issued VIsa...

Lesson Learned
1) Don't opt for "Keep my passport option" unless it is absolutely necessary and if you do, please and please be proactive to send email by 2nd-3rd week after Biometrics to find out if a decision has been made, use that email to drop your passport at the TLS center.

My advice to those still waiting for email from TLS is that the process does not take that long(this is subject to complete documentation please )as mine and husband took just about 2 weeks. You can send an email (paid of course) to UKVI to know your status of your application.
