@anonimi thanks for your kind words. It's interesting to know that some people are trying to recover/restore these historic masterpieces to thier Nigerian source but it is frightening to see the attitude of both leaders and the public to cultural treasure. Have you seen our maintenance culture? Check out our museums and public property. |
Very beautiful, Dudu_negro..I am a film maker. I am making a documentary film on Nigeria at the moment. I'll like to work with you on a separate one about the Yoruba kingdom. Let me know if you are interested. @bcomputer101 are you a writer? I'll. need you.interested? |
Something is wierd about this story. It doesn't add up. |
Sometimes you attend an interview hoping you'll nail it. Then comes the twist you were not expecting. You didn't see it coming..or maybe you didn't see it at all. The joke's on you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le3M3O6EKIY |
I have lived in Lagos for a while now and observed the traffic. I have concluded that you can determine how bad the traffic ahead is by what is being hawked or sold. If its bottled water and gala, it is bad. Groundnut and handkerchief ; it is terrible. But when you see audio CDs and shoe rack, you are in deep trouble. What is being sold in traffic where you are? |
Here's your chance to share those funny, wierd, crazy or brilliant pix of anything 'Val' that you notice today. |

AdoOloro: @OP lemme correct your accent, punctuation and spelling.@adoloro. Pretty good. You know the language. Keep it up. @nairalanders. As hilarious as this thread is, it calls for sober reflection. How many young people in this country can brilliantly articulate both their local language and English? Nigerian youths' mastery of the English language isn't really getting better (that includes me) and It is frightening that our own languages are dangling on the pit of extinction. |
The fact that the prof did not carry his institution along is not sufficient to discredit a scientific breakthrough, although its not very proper. The big question is where are the publications on the different research results from prof and his team? Did he become a prof without proper scientific procedures and publications? Let prof show us the journals that published his works on the claim. He is a professor for goodness sake! This is science, not voodoo! |
Real caution is needed. If you are properly and legally married, then there's much you can do. Get the Church or pastor that joined you involved. Let your mother know she's frustrating you but don't insult or dishonor her. Talk to your wife to be a bit more patient. But there has to be a pastor your mum respects enough to listen to since she sings those "gospel" songs. Lastly, pray, bro. It helps. There has to be more to this than we've heard. All the best. |
@ siga . Thanks a lot . I do that right away. |
Hello people. Please can someone advice me. I'd like to attend a six week animation training in Vancouver later next year. I have a degree in a totally different field of study but have worked in television and film production in nigeria for the past 3 years. I work on contract with a production outfit and have a very good bank balance. How best should I approach the visa thing? Can I apply for a student visa or a TRV? Plus.. I've recently been to South Africa and visited the states twice a long time ago. Help? Anyone? |

This morning, there was some painfully long queue of cars on the popular third mainland bridge in lagos. A day ago, it was all over the news that repairs had ended a week earlier than expected. Just wondering why such an announcement was made when there was still a "little" more to be done. Note: it was almost 40 degrees temperature today!!
