I think you should consider that GM said ma'am... There was a time I updated my stock music app and after doing that, my phone started heating up to about 42°C thus draining more battery; I think I only get 5hrs SOT that time. What I did was just to uninstall the update and the phone came back to normal.

You can try checking the most recent app you updated also before trying to reflash the ROM

IPhone 6 is an outdated phone with an outdated processor; released around 2014

Huawei Y9 is a 2018 phone with a far more better processor

If you must use an iPhone, then try consider an iPhone X or XR, Xs/Xs Max if you also don't mind the price.

But to be honest, Huawei Y9 is a better option
