Politics / Re: Jonathan: Nigeria Owes Obasanjo Debt Of Gratitude by Maxidoe(m): 8:19pm On Mar 05, 2013
Yes indeed Nigerians should be greateful to OBJ for spending 16 billion dollars on power and yet we have no light, and Nigerians should also be greateeful for the billions earmarked for turn around maintainance of our refineries and yet never produced refined fuel, should be grateful for the billions voted for the benin ore highway and was never done, and also grateful for the thousands that died as a result of sharia riots, for the transorp and other public institutions he sold to his cronies, girlfriends and assocciates, and indeed the people of Zaki biam and Odi will always be grateful to him,and also we should not forget to be grateful for how he reformed our electoral process turning into selection instead of election, and also giving us a dying man as president and a daft clueless fisherman as his vicee and eventually president, yes indeed we should be grateful for all this.Fu-cking Retardinho.

How can anybody come here and say Mikel will control the midfield where the midfield general Toure is, with one broken leg Toure will still win the Midfield battle with Mikel.Mikel wont even win the midfield battle with Tiote not to talk of Toure.Like someone already said if winning this match depends on who wins the midfield battle between Mikel and Toure then it is as good as we have lost and no need to watch the match, fortunately for us, winning the midfield battle does not really mean winning the game.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: What Is Your Opinion On The Hazard/ball Boy Incident? by Maxidoe(m): 3:37pm On Jan 24, 2013
I don't know why Chelsea fans and other fans are crying more than the bereaved, Hazard was not wrong, he should have crushed his brain, kicked his ball in, sent him to royal hospital blah blah blah, please is there no age restriction on this forum? some people's comments concerning this issue is really ridiculous, Hazard apologized for crying out loud, he apologized because he accepted the fact that he was wrong. No one knows the ball boy Hazard is a known figure and a role model to millions been watched by millions including children last night, what message was his action passing across? the ball boy was wrong but which teams do not waste time when in the lead in the football matches of today, Hazard deserved the red card 100% and he has accepted that, so i don't know why peeps are whining and talking like barbarians from some comments, some people here are worse than Alu people, kill ball boy because of capital one cup, unimaginable, besides Chelsea was out of COC after the first leg at stamford bridge.

Health / Re: Stopped Smoking? How Did You Manage It? by Maxidoe(m): 3:34pm On Jan 18, 2013
Great topic, i started smoking in 1994,smoked more of weed than Cigarette though, it was bad, i never thought i could stop. Then in school when we gist we used to say something must kill man,we all agreed that ours would either be liver probs cos of alcohol, cancer cos of weed and cigarette, or HIV cos of womanizing, while going for service went with my stach and when it finished in camp it became a problem, but gradually the desperation made me rethink,it was never easy, thought it was gonna finish me, but during my primary assigment met some wonderful ladies my wife inclusive who did a hell of a job on me, thought kinda stopped weed, but could not stop bazz, finally stoped sometimes in the year 2010, only drink socially now,it is not easy, but you need to be determined, really determined, you dont want to imagine the health risks.Wish you all the best as you strive to stop, it has not been easy, but marrying and having a cute pretty girl gives me all the inspiration, look for an inspiration,a reason worth it.

Some Nigerians will not cease to amaze me,someone here said GEJ is the best thing to happen to Nigeria since 1970,another one said he is on his way to become the best president we ever had,you guys are kidding right?or is this how money and other material things make a grown man loose his sense of reasoning, pride, and integrity?Corruption is at its highest in the history of this country, insecurity at its worst in the history of this country?poverty at its worst in the history of this country?yet a supposed sane man said this the best thing to happen to Nigeria since 70,can you beat that? Its only a listening government that the opinion of the people matters and this govt is not one.During the subsidy when we asked them to revert to 65 naira, did they listen?when we shout and scream fight corruption have they listened?when they were advised to restore Salami did they listen?when they were advised against the appoitment of Deziaani the corrupt queen did they listen?so please let's just be objective for once,so far GEJ and his cabinet is a disaster.

I have read the reponse to the OP's seek for advise and it seems most peeps are not married, you say forgive and forget, forgive and forget your wife's infidelity with a friend,it takes the grace of God oh,and those of you saying he should have gone to beg her to come back,so that each time their is an arguement she will live the house and be begged to come back abi. They were into each other on two diffrent occassions meaning he kisssed her, sucked her booobs, probably suucked her pu-ssy too and also finger phucked her, while on her side she probaly stroked and played with his pe-nis probably sucked it and moaned passionately on 2 diffrent occasions, what the OP meant by into each other is that they did everything except putting his pe-nis into her pusssy,if she was your wife what would u do? do you think that marriage can ever be the same again?can he erase this from his memory?can he trust her again?do you knw what it takes for a married woman to allow somebody else to smoooche her?And when it happened the fisrt time, she did not run home but she waited till it happened the second time, and it would have probably happened the third, fourth time and continously if family did not resolve it.My advise is this, you knw youself more, what you can take, can you still love and respect her,can you still make love to her like nothing happened? if you can then forgive but if you cant my brother its all up to you.Buy kitchen cabinet instead of paying a daughter's school fees, and leaving the house cos ur husband got angry and shouted on you,and away for about 30 days, ridiculous, like someobody said you dont have a good wife and i agree.

Most Nigerians are hypocrite and absolutely ethnic bigots, imagine people portraying OBJ as if he is one hero,

OBJ for the 16billion Dollars you stole that was meant for power happy birthday and hope you eat lots of banana
OBJ for the innocent women, children and men you massacred in Odi and Katsina-Ala may you never lack monkeys and chimpanzees in your life and generation.
For fuckin your son's wife and making divorce inevitable may your type never be born even in the animal kingdom.
For the billions you spent wickedly and demonically trying to get a third term ticket all i can say is u wicked oh
For all the rigging, impositions of candidates, daylight electoral robbery, you are a setback and criminal to our nascent democracy, after all said Happy Birthday and hope you eat lots of bananas with your siblings.

All these while, nobody started occupynigeria prt2 till nw that NLC have found its voice again.
Am only watching with my gwugwuru n epa as this action film develops abi na just comedy sef?

So what is your point? Nigerians should not have demonstrated?we should accept anything that the government says even if it is anti people abi? That you did not support occupy Nigeria does not mean it did not achieve some of its objectives,we love this country and we want to move forward,if Jonathan takes an action that is inimical to that objective,we should still support him because he is a christian and Niger deltan abi?Jonathan's actions over a long period of times shows he cant be trusted and he is absolutely clueless.Where are the buses he promised?they produced the first document in less than 48 hours, but yet unable to produce the second one at 97 per litre after over 855 hours, why swear in a comitte when they have nothing to work with, you dont blame us when we question his ineptitude,he has lost his trust and goodwill amongst Nigerians. And trust me,if he does not tackle corruption with zeal and determination, nothing is ever gonna come out of that SURE

I don’t understand the basis for this name-calling and yabis among NLders o!

Below is a chronology of events regarding subsidy removal and SURE:

Jan 1 – 100% withdrawal of petrol subsidy goes into effect
Jan 16 – 58% withdrawal of petrol subsidy goes into effect as a compromise
Feb 13 – President Jonathan inaugurates SURE
Feb 20 – President Jonathan says initial SURE promises no longer sure (pardon my pun)

I don’t believe that well-meaning Nigerians doubt that a revision of the SURE plans may be necessary.

The bigger question is why did it take the Federal Government 35 DAYS (between Jan 16 and Feb 20) to realize that a revision was necessary?! One out of twelve months wasted.

Our leaders are asleep at the switch.

Absolutely brilliant,it is a shame we still have people like cow meat(beaf) and co in this country,it breaks my heart that people can sooooo cheaply sell their soul, family and unborn generation for just a plate of porridge.

Did you follow Jona during his campaign?did you see his campaign promises?he never told us through out his campaign that he would remove subsidy. So you dont blame us if we dont trust him anymore(though personally i have never trusted him, always knew he had nothing to offer.)would you blame us?he promised heaven and earth, but all his actions, appointees says otherwise, you where not the only ones that  voted him,and you are not the only Niger Deltans around,so lets remove sentiments out of our judgements and have the courage to say the truth.

sirjec:

When GEJ made his promise, you people would have allowed him to work with his plans but you chose to occupy till he reduced the price. Won't you allow him to make plans for the new income. Sometimes I feel some of the people in this Nairaland are illiterates. Planlessness? You cannot eat your cake and have it. You prefer subsidy to infrastructural development. Enjoy the subsidy and keep quiet

When he made his promises during his campaign, he never told Nigerians he would remove fuel subsidy, and if he does not defeat corruption or atleast show some seriousness in curbing corruption, trust me the funds will go into the pockets of thieves. For now they make 32 naira a day multiply that by 59million,that is what they make a day.

We keep blaming SLS,we want Nigeria to be better, but we don't want to take that giant stride to achieve it,we want development but we don't want to do anything because of the sacrifice we have to make.Do we rather people loose all their live savings and all the staff of the banks loose their job?People keep shouting Unity bank, please can you tell us how much was pumped into Unity Bank,Intercontinental,Oceanic?Do you know how many people who lost their live savings when the bank stocks crashed?I know a man who lost up to 100 million naira.Lets stop blaming SLS because he is not the cause of the problem channel your annoyance towards Cecilia,Erastus and co.People are shouting Soludo,Soludo my foot, this man knew the probs in the banking sector, but turned the other eye or was afraid of taking action,it was during his tenure that Oceanic and Intercontinental bank were winning bank of the year award every year. Please in our arguments lets be objective, lets not allow sentiment to becloud our sense of judgement. If Soludo was a Muslim from the north will you praise him?if SLS was a christian from the south will you castigate him like this? i understand boko haram have really increased hatred for the north, but please it should not becloud our sense of reasoning. And for those affected,i feel for you, dont loose hope,it may be an opportunity for better things.

Gbawe:

My brother, how can what I wrote be construed  a "ferocious" support of Tinubu? The guy goofed with the claim of $30 billion. $30 million (the actual amount involved) is relatively easy to raise in regards to certain business models. This was what I was trying to show. Fola Adeola , the GT bank founder, and ACN member , could probably arrange $30 million for Tinubu single-handedly. Ajimobi, legitimately in the oil business for a long time, could petition his high networth 'pals' to drop that kind of dough also. Let us raise the bar as per what we allow to dumb us and our discussions sites down. Hate Tinubu but don't lie ($30 billion instead of $30 billion) or insinuate that $30 million cannot be raised legitimately and easily for use in a solid business.

My bad on the highlighted and i apologize.I agree the inflation of the figure is actually ridiculous,i though he typed it in error. But maybe am wrong i have seen in various posts where you are in support of Tinubu or Fashola, was reason for my previous statement. The problem i have with Tinubu aside from his stealing,he seems domineering, which is the reason i can never support a Fashola presidency except of course he contests with the clueless and indecisive dude we have now.I feel Tinubu will always be Fashola's remote control.I voted for Ribadu during the April election because i believed he wont be controlled.Back to the topic,Tinubu does not need to borrow 30mill dollars, its chicken change to him,he is richer than both Ajimobi and Adeola.
Travel / Re: Bola Ahmed Tinubu's First Nation Airline Begins Operation by Maxidoe(m): 10:10am On Nov 15, 2011
@Gbawe i always respect your opinion concerning corrupt government especially the ineffective and corrupt Jonathan, but am short of words when you argue ferociously in support of the rogue Tinubu,we all know he is great and unrepentant thief who has also infected Fashola. When we choose to condemn corruption please lets do it without prejudice, for me the only difference between Jona and Tinubu is that Tinubu is a noise maker but they are both unrepentant thieves who do not care about the entity called Nigeria and Nigerians, they both don't deserve and kind of support from Nigerians except of course from their family members and beneficiaries.

And to all justifying his stealing saying he is investing, please listen to yourselves. You all condemn IBB,yet you guys agree he is the major owner of glo, that is also employing thousands of Nigerians, should be we then ignore his stealing escapades? lets not be double standard, stealing is stealing,no matter what you do with the money,Anini stole and even helped the poor, that never justified his stealing.

@ikooko,
every child has a father but those whose father are not worth it can change and if u have replaced your father with obasanjo, then so be it after all this is democracy. i am an igbo but i hate to hear your types saying obasanjo destroyed northern machinery and and if he did, who did he use to replace them? can you imagine how much we have lost to public office holders since 1999? can you imagine how politics has turned to be the most lucrative profession in nigeria since 1999? can you just think of how many lives we loose to security issues on daily basis since 1999?
the same northerners he destroyed, he gave power back to in 2007. like i said, in democracy, there is freedom of fathership of which u have right to make obasanjo your father. but if anyone wants me to make a dog that cld sleep with his own daughter in law, a criminal that was N20,000 rich in 1999 only to become a billion in dollars in a few years, a man who does not know how to father his own biological son my father, may God punish whosoever thinks that.
charity does not start from outside but from home. let obasanjo bring his children together first before looking for others. the only child of his that is close to him is that iyabo that has criminal records here and there. like father like daughter.

Big B1:

Oga!!! pls give me a break. We are not here to worship sentiment or to embrace f00lishness. We are here together to rescue our country from the blood suckers that have capitalized on ra-p-ing everyone of us over and over until the end of time.
Again, advise baba to destroy himself before destroying anybody for the sake of Nigeria. OBJ represents everything that is bad on the face of this planet.

It's time to make all these thieves irrelevant and discover better people, and strategy to move this lovely country forward effectively and efficiently.

We are tired.
