freiburger, why am doing this is firstly to expose these guys (scammers) that give our dear country bad name. Almost all Nigerians living in diaspora/travelling abroad for business face a certain measure of stereotype associated with dishonesty; secondly, you never knew who the next victim may be. Thirdly, I don't if he had already collected this phone, because royailmail website stated that said phone was passed to overseas postal service for delivery in Nigeria on the 16/08/12, the same day I dispatched it. But, I don't care if I ended up not recovering it so far as I exposed this 419er. This rogue should simply channel his enermy and smartness to sometime meaningful.

You actually don't have to post this here, no one is doubting your story.

I pray your relatives be able to recover your phone, funds or the con man.

Be extra careful next time.

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

I listed one of the expensive smartphones for sale in Ebay UK. A con man who claimed he wanted to buy and send to his son in Surulere, Lagos, sent me payment via paypal, which I just discovered was fake, after contacting paypal for update. The problem is: I've already sent said handset via royalmail int'l signed for before realising it was a scam. According to tracking barcode the item was handed over NIPOST on 17/08/12, so there is a possibility that this rogue hasn't collected it.
All the tel nos on NIPOST don't work, so, please if anyone have any direct tel no and e-mail address of NIPOST Surulere, Logos send it to me ASAP?

These 419s keep tarnishing the image of Nigeria so much-in fact, both ebay and paypal said 'they don't deal with anything Nigeria!', when I complained. Not knowing I'm proudly Nigerian myself.

Chelsea have promoted Michael Emenalo from his position as chief scout to assistant first team coach.

Emenalo, who has been with the Blues since October 2007, succeeds Ray Wilkins in the role and Chelsea say the move is "recognition of his efforts".

The 45-year-old represented Nigeria at the 1994 World Cup and won 14 caps.

Emenalo, who briefly played for Notts County in the mid-1990s, will continue to scout for the first team while he updates his coaching qualifications.

The Nigerian's playing career also took him to the United States, Spain, Germany and Israel.

Former AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini, had been linked with the job, as had Mauro Tassotti and Alessandro Costacurta who worked under Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti at Milan.

PARIS — Senegal's president on Sunday called for Africa to make room for victims of Haiti's earthquake to restart their lives on the continent from where their ancestors were snatched as slaves.

"The repeated calamities that befall Haiti prompt me to propose a radical solution -- to take measures to create somewhere in Africa,  the conditions for Haitians to return," President Abdoulaye Wade told France Info radio.

"They did not choose to go to that island," he added, referring to the mass deportation of African slaves to Haiti, then a French colony, from the 16th century.

"It is our duty to recognise their right to come back to the land of their ancestors."


His spokesman Mamadou Bamba Ndiaye gave further details of the proposals.

"If it is just a few people, we will offer them a roof and a patch of land," he told the radio station. "If they come in large numbers, we will give them a whole region."

A massive earthquake struck Haiti on Tuesday, killing tens of thousands of people and leaving more than a million others homeless, according to the Haitian government. The island is also often hit by deadly hurricanes and floods.

"It wouldn't be the first time that former slaves or their descendants were brought back to Africa," said Wade, citing similar measures taken in Liberia.

"Now the problem is to know how, and who will bear the cost."
