Because of the recent rise in crude oil prices, many people have been laid off or have been expecting that this will never happen in the near future. Some people tell me that this is just a cycle and that they will “wait it out”. That’s a good plan if you have a massive savings account.

Many Graduates find it difficult to get jobs. Employers don’t want to hire them when they are over-qualified or under-qualified. It’s not just those in the oil industry, however, who sit and wait hoping for circumstances to change. Some people buy lottery tickets thinking that a big win will solve all their problems. Others believe that the right romantic interest will show up and life will then be filled with wonderful happiness. Many think that a change in government will solve issues and make life better for all individuals.

Well, the reality is that it might take years for the economy to improve. Most people never win the big prizes offered by the lottery. Romance can result in hurt and government cannot solve every problem.

If you want things to change for the better, you likely need to change them yourself. Instead of waiting for months without having an income or doing work that you really don’t like.

More jobs opportunity are online that we can tap from (affiliate marketing, web design, content writing……etc.). You have what it takes to succeed in life, you only need the right information to guide you through.

I believe that life is a series of choices. You can choose to wait or you can do something to make life better.

Begin today by making a list of things that you would like to have or do. Break these dreams down into small steps and, besides each step write the date when you want to complete it. Now you have some goals and are on your way to taking back control of your world!

You are in the driver’s seat!

There is no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure, you probably didn’t realize that anyone who has ever achieved anything has also failed many times. Why? Because failure is what shows us what’s not working. It teaches us valuable lessons that leads to our success, they are the foundations to our success. To achieve the greatest success, you have to embrace the prospect of failure. James and Anthony were friends from childhood. They were not born with the proverbial silver spoon. Their fathers were teachers in a primary school in Ido. They would go to the village stream to wash cloths, swim and fetch water for domestic use. They were also studious, they excelled in their secondary school certificate examination and got admission into one of the best university in the country.
“I am so happy to be admitted into the university”, James joyously said on their matriculation day.
“Me too. The beautiful day I have been praying to see have now come” Anthony replied, equally happy about the feat they just achieved. “Yes oh! And I am determined to graduate with the best result in my class”. I am also determined to do that too. That’s how we can truly appreciate our parents and also make them proud. But we must also develop ourselves in other areas and have fun too. Remember? Anthony thoughtfully asked.
Of course I do; I am also going to join any social or academic club that catches my fancy; James replied. Their university days is very eventful, they enjoyed and had fun as they studied. After their graduation and NYSC, James ...................

Youth plays a critical function in the growth and sustainability of the global economic system, yet the charge of unemployment is rising steadily on an international scale. Despite the fact that younger people have more knowledge than before, it is becoming increasingly tougher to get employment, and youths continue to be the most affected with unemployment. Certainly this suggests a few sort of systemic flaw in our financial system, when youths are sincerely willing and able to work, yet still can’t locate solid employment.

It comes as no surprise, that lately there has been a heightened awareness of young people unemployed inside the political arena. It is often view that youths are portrayed as lazy, troublesome, and indolent, however the reality is that minority tend to symbolize the entire population. There are numerous young folks who are innovative, progressive, and eager to participate in the labour market, however simply can’t get a foot near the door.

The labour market is extra fluid and dynamic, that means that there are less permanent, stable jobs available for young people seeking input in the labour market.

The ever growing youths unemployment leave many young people feeling hopeless and discouraged, and might often cause higher dangers of marginalisation and social exclusion. Thus begins a sequence of unemployment and financial hassle, which can have unfavourable effects not on individuals, and on the broader economy and society as a whole.

However, the fate of youth’s unemployment no longer need to stay bleak. As a country, China prides itself on innovation, creativity, and ingenuity. It appears reasonable to assume then, that possibly those qualities can be harnessed and carried out to our labour market so that youths can be encouraged and supported into stable and meaningful employment. This technology of youths is the most entrepreneurial, creative and enterprising yet, and doubtlessly own the important thing to overcome a minimum a number of the boundaries and demanding situations of getting into the labour market.

A wealth of research indicates that empowering youths to create jobs for themselves via entrepreneurship can sell economic dynamism, innovation, and resilience. Empowering innovative and enterprising youths to channel their talents and thoughts into entrepreneurialism offers opportunities to start overcoming a number of the barriers to entry into the labour market, as well as equipping youths with useful and effective tools that may be utilised upon entry into the labour market.

Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy

If I were to ask you what you want in life, you might say you want more money, be your own boss, work at the schedule of your own choosing, spend more time with family and friends, take vacations when you choose, play and exercise, build a real retirement a better love life, or better health. That is the answer most people would give. But I want to go deeper than that. What it really comes down to is happiness. We all want to live a long, happy life. But most of us don’t know how to be happy. The problem is we look for happiness in all the wrong places. Sure, money, love and health will add to our unhappiness, but they don’t create happiness out of thin air.

We all have positive and negative aspects in our life, the one we focus on plays a huge role in how we feel. The physical world is always in a state of flux. At each moment, a new thing is being created, sustained, improved, transformed and then destroyed. This is the normal state of activities, and no one can change it.

No circumstances remains as it is. These are the rules of nature.

This means that if we assign ourselves to a certain situation, we are certain to experience unhappiness sooner or later.

When circumstances change, and the changes are not to our liking, we experience unhappiness. On the other hand, if we exercise impartiality, nothing can influence our moods. Then, external happenings have nothing to do with our inner joy and peace of mind.

LiteratureProcrastination by maxipharo(op): 5:52am On Jun 07, 2016
Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished. It is the practice of doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, or carrying out less urgent tasks instead of more urgent ones, thus putting off impending tasks to a later time. Everyone procrastinates occasionally, but 18.9% percent of people normally avoid difficult tasks and intentionally look for diversions. Which, unfortunately are increasingly available. Procrastination in large part reflects our constant struggle with self-discipline.

You should know that some people who think of themselves as procrastinators really aren’t. In a world of unending deadlines, they just put too many things on their “To Do” list. They’re not avoiding tasks, the mark of a real procrastinator; they’re getting things done, just not as many as they would like.

It’s easy to tell whether you’re a real procrastinator. According to Joseph Ferrari, real procrastinators tell themselves five lies:

They overestimate the time they have left to perform tasks.
They underestimate the time it takes to complete tasks.
They overestimate how motivated they will feel the next day, the next week, the next month — whenever they are putting things off to.
They mistakenly think that succeeding at a task requires that they feel like doing it.
They mistakenly believe that working when not in the mood is sub optimal.
Procrastinators also actively look for distractions, especially ones that don’t take heavy-duty commitment on their part. Checking e-mail is just about perfect for this purpose. The dirty little secret is that procrastinators distract themselves as a way of regulating their own emotions, such as fear of failure.

How to tackle procrastination? Dr. Ferrari recommends these strategies for reducing procrastination:

Make a list of everything you have to do.
Write a statement of intention.
Set realistic goals.
Break it down into specific tasks.
Make your task meaningful.
Promise yourself a reward.
Eliminate tasks you never plan to do. Be honest!
Estimate the amount of time you think it will take you to complete a task. Then increase the amount by 100%.
Procrastinators are made and not born. That’s both the good news and the bad news. Good because it’s a learned response, and what’s learned can be unlearned. The bad news is that while it’s possible to change, it takes a lot of psychic energy and you don’t necessarily feel transformed internally.

"The girl is now out of coma, Sir and has already been tranfered to the female ward." Nurse Phoebe informed Dr Bright.
"Oh! that's great" replied Dr Bright as he prepares to follow Nurse Phoebe.
"but, I discovered that the man that brought her this morning is not her father."
"Really!! Tell him to see me in my office immediately" ordered the Doctor as he turn to go to his office.

"I had always thought that you are the father of the girl from the reports I got from Nurse Phoebe" said Dr Bright as Mark enters his office.
"No Doctor, I just had to ensure her safety as she is the lone survivor of the accident" Mark replied in an emotionally ladden voice.
"What's the matter, Mr Mark?"
"I also lost my wife and two children in a fatal accident two years ago" Mark stated.
"I'm so sorry for your loss" Dr Bright concluded as he consoles him.
"It's okay! Its just that the memories keep coming. But, what about Cynthia? What's going to happen to her, since her parents died in the accident" inquired Mark.
"We will make announcements over the radio and on television, as well as publish her details and pictures on National newspapers; and her relatives should be able to come for her. But if the do not show up, we'll release her to a Social Welfare home across the streets" Dr Bright said affirmatively.
"that's a good plan" concurred Mark, "but please let me know the outcome of the announcement. I'll also come around to check on her occasionally." he added as he stands to take his leave. He went straight to the female ward where Cynthia was transfered to. He met Nurse Phoebe consoling the heartbroken Cynthia. He also added some soothing words before he left for work promising to stop by while on his way back home.
The following days were very gloomy for the young Cynthia. She wouldn't be consoled and would occasionally sob silently all night. Mark's consistent visits really helped in lifting her gloomy spirit. He would always come with beverages, gifts and sweet smelling flowers for her.

Mark is an unassuming fellow. He owed his good nature and chivalry to his pious background. At work, he has worked his way into the hearts of his co-workers. He works with a construction company where he heads the Human Resource department. He decides to take a drive out in the country side to ease the stress he has accumulated from a very hectic day's work as well as enjoy the nice scenery.
"Screech...." he heard the sound of a car that has gone out of control. He pulled over to avoid the car running into him. The accident was so fatal that it claimed the lives of the driver and his wife, who is sitting in the front passenger seat.
"Ah......ah........somebody help.....anybody around? HELP!" the cry a young girl of about seven years of age jolted him back to consciousness. He reached out for the fire extinguisher and some minor car tools. He rushed to the accident scene, rescued the girl, who happens to be the lone survivor, and took her to a nearby hospital. It took the intervention of Doctors and Nurses in the hospital to resuscitate the girl who is already unconscious.
"Doctor.......Doctor!" screamed the nurse on duty, "the girl in the emergency ward is showing signs of consciousness."
"I'll be right there." replied the doctor, as he hurries to the emergency ward. He gave her some injections to stabilize her condition. "She will be fully awake in the next two hours or so. Make sure you observe her and take necessary reading till I come back and if there's any complications, alert me on time. You can as well transfer her to one of the wards."
"Yes sir!" replied the dutiful nurse. Nurse Phoebe grew up without a silver spoon. Her parent, though responsible, were not rich. Her father works as the gardener in an amusement park while her mother runs a food canteen across the streets. She left her parent to live with her uncle in the city. Her Uncle took care of her schooling till she graduated from nursing school. Her experience through life wasn't all that happy. She has suffered from series of sexual abuse at school as well as domestic abuse from neighbours. Deciding to leave behind all these bitterness, she fell in love with a promising colleague in her final year at school. The relationship was going on fine until she caught him with another lady. When she confronted him on him infidelity, he flared up and dealt with her mercilessly and threw her out calling the relationship a quit. Her experience was not rossy.

“Meet your father” Nurse Phoebe enthusiastically said to a little girl she held; who just recovered from a long coma.
Where is he? The little girl asked. Emphatically, the nurse pointing to Mark seated on a bench across with a satisfying smile that lilted his face from eye to eye, saying “he is over there”
“Who is that man?” the little girl asked.
The nurse amazed by the girl’s blunt attitude to the man as a stranger clearly answered “he is your father”. Worse the nurse was heavily startled by the words she heard the girl say. “I have never seen that man before in my life” , made the nurse think she must have had a loss of memory due to her long unconsciousness.
Mark walked across the ward from where he sat to meet the nurse and the little girl.
“i am not her father” Mark said to the nurse as he called her away from the girl.
“Then, why didn’t you say that all this while”, the nurse refuted.
“I carried her right away from a fatal accident scene that caused her unconsciousness, and also the death of her parents…but I realized she was alive and brought her down here” Mark said sedately.
Meanwhile, the nurse had noticed Mark always, all through the period, sit in the poorly lighted ward, holding the girls hand and offering her words of love and strength.
Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the man move away and rest a while, but he would bluntly refuse. Now and then, she heard him saying a few gentle words. The unconscious girl said nothing.
Standing and wondering all the tender love and care the man had exhibited towards the girl, she baffled and never believed that Mark had never known or his related to the little girl.
Cynthia is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Bruce. Theirs is truly a happy family until the fateful day they met their untimely death. She enjoyed the love of her parent so much that hardly would let our out of his sight. She attends one of the best schools in town. In fact, she had all she needed.........to be cont.
