Take time to observe the smell of heated plastic in your car. In addition to causing cancer, Benzene poisons your bones, causes anaemia and reduces white blood cells.

Prolonged exposure will cause leukaemia, increasing the risk of cancer. It can also cause miscarriage. Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq ft.

READ STORY

MRS. Onome Akporode, 31, a teacher at Victress School, Aladja, Udu Local Council, Delta State, would be haunted forever by the unfortunate circumstance that suddenly changed her life.

Her legs were crushed by a lorry, which was frantically trying to avoid a bullion van escorted by a police vehicle that was taking cash to the Udu Road branch of First Bank. The bullion van and the policemen were moving at top-speed on the wrong lane.

On July 13, 2015, Mrs. Akporode went to the Udu Road branch of the First Bank of Nigeria Plc, to lodge some money into an account with the said bank. She left the bank and crossed the first lane on the Udu major road in front of the bank. While waiting on the pavement on the middle of the road to safely cross to the other lane of the road, suddenly, a bullion van and escorts manned by men of the Nigeria Police Force and hired by the bank, allegedly drove recklessly against the traffic in an attempt to enter the bank.

An oncoming 911 Mercedes Lorry that was on its lane, in a bid to avoid colliding with the bullion van and police escorts, rammed into the pavement on the road and the teacher, thereby shattering her two legs and damaging the pavement.

After the accident, some good Nigerians who witnessed the accident rushed her to the Central Hospital, Warri, where she was referred the next day to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara and at present placed on admission at the Intensive Care Unit of the Teaching Hospital.

The helicopter marked 5N-BGD and operated by Bristow Helicopters departed SEDCO oil platform offshore en-route Lagos airport.

Concerned Edo State Citizens have staged a protest in Abuja, asking the National Assembly not to approve the loan request by Governor Adams Oshiomhole for additional N18billion loan from the World Bank.

Oshiomhole has already borrowed over N250billion as governor in seven years.
President Muhammadu Buhari in a letter to the National Assembly requested on behalf of Oshiomhole for permission to further plunge Edo state into debts.
Oshiomhole has been attacking former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who blocked this particular loan after telling Oshiomhole that over N250billion loan already obtained by Oshiomhole with nothing to show for it is tantamount to mortgaging the future of the state.

This fatal accident happened yesterday in Unubi, Anambra State, opposite Unubi boys secondary school.

According to eyewitnesses who gave the name of the deceased as Mmadubike Ugochukwu. They said that he was a choir master and was returning from Church that yesterday when he ran face-to-face with a security van by a very sharp bend. The vehicle knocked him and his bike and his forehead was smashed on the tarred road which led to his brains gushing and he died instantly. According to the people who knew him, they said Ugochukwu was a twin.
The picture is showing a boy tapping him to get up if he could. I could tell he knew him and was trying to wake him up. So Sad!
