President Muhammadu Buhari has said that his age would serve as a limitation to his performance as Nigeria’s leader.

Buhari further said that he would have preferred to have been elected into office when he was younger rather than at 72 years of age.

The President made the comments on Monday, June 15, 2015, while speaking to Nigerians resident in South Africa.

I wish I became Head of State when I was a governor, just a few years as a young man. Now at 72, there is a limit to what I can do,

Buhari said.

Buhari however assured that his administration would kill corruption and ensure that Nigeria remains one united country.

Our government is determined to secure the country, manage the economy, create employment and fight corruption. Some articulate writers have said if we do not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria. This APC administration intends to kill corruption in Nigeria. We will do our best, I assure you,

Buhari said.

The President was in SA to attend the 25 African Union (AU) Summit and returned to the country on Tuesday, June 16.

The pastor’s wife said such act would no longer be tolerated in the church.

Two Nigerians big boys, Otunba Akala and his friend (pictured above) died early Saturday morning June 13th after leaving two Malaysian clubs (Club Rain and HQ) some Nigerian artists performed in on Friday June 12th.

They were returning to their base in the early hours of Saturday morning when they drove into a lake in Kuala Lumpur, both died instantly.

We live in the 21st century where a lot of things are taken for granted even in the church.

The church building is a special place of worship and it requires special behavior. Though the church is like a home where we are supposed to feel comfortable, it’s not an opportunity for misconduct. The church shouldn’t be a place where anything goes.

A lot of Christians like to take God’s abundant grace for granted, being that he is very merciful.

These days a lot of people conduct themselves in offensive manners in church. Some engage in activities that are both distracting and very annoying. Some do things they wouldn’t try in their offices.

Below are some offensive things some people do in church. Sure, you would find one or more you are guilty of.

1. Constantly looking at your wristwatch to check time: Most people are guilty of this. Once the sermon is getting too long, they begin to take glances at the wristwatch, praying the service would come to an end quickly.

2. Chewing gums: Have you ever sat near someone in church who is chewing gum like a cow chewing cud? You know how annoying that can be. Some even go as far as making silly sounds and blowing bubbles.

3. Receiving calls, pinging and texting: As if it’s not bad enough that your rings out during service, you will now go ahead to pick the call. You see some people pinging and texting during service. This is just so wrong. Would you be pinging if your boss was talking to you? God deserves more respect.

4. Flirting with a cute brother or sister: Some people’s purpose of going to church is to get ‘hooked’. You see some brothers and sisters giving each other flirty glances in church when they are supposed to be concentrating on the word of God.

5. Wearing party clothes to church: There are clothes meant for church. You shouldn’t wear your skimpy and revealing clothes to church. Just because the church allows you the freedom to be comfortable doesn’t mean you have to take it for granted.

6. Passing notes back and forth: It is not nice to be passing love notes during service.

7. Taking pictures during service: This applies to mostly the ladies. They are the ones who like to take photos of peoples outfit and hairstyles for fun or because they also want to make that style.

8. Sleeping and snoring during sermons: It’s funny when you spot people sleeping, snoring and falling over their neighbours. You might be tired and all but try and keep your eyes open. Its just for a little while and you will be in your bed.

9. Coming late: Some people are in the habit of coming to church when the sermon is about to start or half way into the service. Some give the excuse of not being able to get their children ready on time. During school days, how do you manage to get them to school before 8a.m.? If you can get them to school early and if you can get to your place of work early, you can also get to church early.

Nasarawa state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura yesterday June 7th adopted a 6yr old physically challenged boy named Samaila Dantani, promising to sponsor the young boy from primary to tertiary institution.

The governor came across the boy during his inspection of a flooded area along Jos road in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital. Young Samila was living in the Akurba area with his parents who are taking refuge there following communal clash in their village, Ashangwa.

Following several deaths in Ondo and Rivers states after the consumption of local gin known as Ogogoro,the Federal government has announced an official ban of the sale and consumption of the local gin.

The ban was announced today by the DG of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii .He also revealed that 38 persons died from consuming ogogoro in Rivers state recently. All banned products will be confiscated and destroyed..
