What makes Dasuki’s arrest ironic is that on Sallah’s Eve in 1985 Dasuki was said to have arrested Buhari. And now, on the same day in 2015, Buhari allegedly orders his arrest.
In August 1985, the evening of the 26th to be specific, at a time when Nigerians were celebrating the Muslim festival and enjoying the public holiday, a soldier named Badamasi Babangida was executing his plans of overthrowing the Nigerian Head of State, Major-General Muhammadu
Buhari. One of the soldiers who arrested Buhari at gunpoint was a soldier named SAMBO DASUKI.

After Buhari was arrested and his government toppled, IBB threw him into prison and handsomely rewarded Dasuki by making him his ADC (aide-de-camp). Sambo Dasuki was one of the four army majors that arrested Buhari at gunpoint that day. Others were Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, Lawan Gwadabe,Abdulmumuni Aminu .

Buhari was left to rot in jail for two years and this wrecked his family life so bad that it led to a divorce with Safinatu, his beloved wife upon his release. While Buhari was also in jail, Babangida sent soldiers to ransack and vandalize his residence, in the process destroying some of Buhari’smost valuable credentials and valuables.Let me skip what happened to Sambo Dasuki and his father the former Sultan of Sokoto under General Abacha.

A father who lost his temporary job as a human resources manager last week shot and killed his 12- and 10-year-old sons Friday morning before taking his own life at the family's Perry Hall home, authorities said.

Julian Roary, 47, had struggled to find a stable position in recent years, said Shantal Brown-Winn, who said she was his longtime girlfriend.

"This was a good man who just thought he couldn't do it anymore because of the economy, the unfairness," she said.
Brown-Winn told police that after hearing what she thought were firecrackers shortly after midnight, she checked and found Roary and his two sons, Julian Roary Jr., 12, and Ian Roary, 10, fatally shot in an upstairs bedroom in their home in the 8900 block of Yvonne Ave., off Ebenezer Road. She called 911, police said.

Roary and his elder son were pronounced dead at the scene. Ian was taken to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center, where he was pronounced dead.

County police spokesman Cpl. Shawn Vinson said the father shot both sons and then himself. Police said Roary left a note detailing his intentions.

Brown-Winn said Roary struggled to provide for his family and didn't want to burden them.

He worked as acting human resources manager of the Baltimore City Parking Authority until last week, said Tiffany James, spokeswoman for the authority. James said she could not comment on why Roary left the authority because it was a personnel matter.

"We're deeply saddened to hear about him and what happened," she said. "We're just really shocked that this occurred."

James said Roary had worked for the Parking Authority for 11 months and was placed there through the employment agency OfficeTeam. The assignment began in July 2014 and was a temporary position, said Stephanie Sweet, a spokeswoman for OfficeTeam, a division of the company Robert Half.

Brown-Winn said Roary was devastated to lose the job. She said he had been struggling to find full-time work in human resources since 2009, when he left another job. While he held a doctorate in organizational development, she said, he felt he was passed by for jobs because he was an older job candidate.

The Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium cost N24 billion (about $126.3 million) while the cost of constructing the entire complex is put at N31 billion (about $163.1 million).

Dream Team chief coach, Samson Siasia, is satisfied with the quality of the playing surface at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
The stadium is set to play host to Sunday’s 2016 Olympic football qualifier between Nigeria and Congo and Siasia was left impressed after his team trained at the facility for the first time on Monday.

This is the first time I am seeing the pitch because we had been training at the Shell Club (also in Port Harcourt) since we arrived from Abuja.
“I am very impressed with how well the stadium has been maintained and especially the pitch which is very very good,” Siasia said on Monday.
Spokesman of the team, Timi Ebikagboro, also shared in the coach’s optimism.
“I have visited virtually all stadia in Nigeria and I make bold to say that apart from the pitch at Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo, none is as good as this.
“Good pitches produce good football and I am sure we will get a good result on Sunday,” he said.
Nigeria’s U 23s will face their Congolese counterparts at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on July 19.

I wish to commend the police for unmasking and arresting one Mr. Martin Ugwu Okpeh a fake medical doctor who stole his childhood friend academic certificate in 2006 after been his best man on his wedding and went ahead to secure employment with Federal Ministry of Health

It is disheartening that the said fake doctor who for over a decade have been impersonating his friend Dr. George Davidson at the ministry did not only became the branch chairman of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) but also participated as an Ebola Volunteer in 2014.

With this shocking discovery, I wish to suggest a nationwide certificate verification exercise of all workers both in private and public employment by the police and anti-graft agencies to authenticate the genuineness of certificates been paraded by some unpatriotic Nigerians like Mr.Okpeh.

Furthermore, all those who aid and albeit this kind of crime in the Ministry for 10 years must be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Finally, I urge the police to fully and summarily prosecute Mr. Martin Ugwu Okpeh to serve as deterrent to others.

Indeed wonders shall never end.
