Very impressive achievement by these two young men.

Even more impressive is the fact that under this deal, a non executive board member of Peter Thiel''s company Palantir has joined the board of this Nigerian company created by these two young Igbo men.

For those who don't know, Peter Thiel is basically the guy who created Elon Musk and a lot of other tech billionaires. He's basically like a godfather in Silicon Valley. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time he has ever shown enough confidence in the commercial potential of an African tech startup company to invest in it.
I am really impressed to have Peter Thiel buy-in. That guy is a juggernaut! The project is at the heart of our national security.

You can’t speak English as well. There is nothing like “my ear was aching” and “I was buying”. Those are not proper English syntax. Find how to correct yourself and come back here.

That policy of placing immigrants on welfare is just totally bad. Such policies never improve the economy of the country and makes the working citizens a fool which invariably makes the immigrants averse to work!
Benefit is a survival strategy. You’re a definitely living poor. You are giving $300 food worth a month when you can work and earn $3000 a month.

You guys are not nice. This reflects on poor management. Because he shouted on a teammate, management would ask Osimhe to leave?? Many top player have a high passion for their game so much so they act of order when they they lose a game or any opportunity. When you are in the game, it's a different spirit. Why punish him instead of uniting the team spirit. To punish someone out of the game follows a methodical process and they voted to discipline him even with all of the online insults Osimhe received. So we want to destroy the team because of one incidenthuh I can't believe y'all are supporting his harsh discipline.

PoliticsTrump Orders US Military To Strike ISIS Group In Nigeria by Mayflowa(op): 12:41am On Dec 26, 2025
President Trump has ordered the United States Military to carry out numerous strike on ISIS on Nigeria soil. President Trump has warned he will continue to carry such strike if Christians continue to be persecuted by terroroist.

President Donald Trump said Thursday he’d ordered a deadly strike on Islamic State terrorists in Nigeria, who he has accused of persecuting Christians in the country.

“Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!” the president wrote on Truth Social.

"I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was,” he went on. “The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing.”

"Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper. May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues,” the president concluded.

CNN has reached out to the White House for additional comment.

Trump has focused for the last several months on the plight of Christians in Nigeria, including calling in November on his secretary of defense to “prepare for possible action” and warning the US would enter Nigeria “guns-a-blazing” to protect the Christian population of Africa’s most populous country.

FamilyRe: The Quiet Crisis Of Aging Men: What We Don’t Prepare Fathers For by Mayflowa(m): 8:54pm On Dec 14, 2025
Kobojunkie:
This is an erroneous belief that is born mostly of ignorance and not of truth. What you describe has been noted to occur with parents whose children are identified as having sociopathic tendencies, and these people make up only about 1%-to-4% of the population — outliers. For the vast majority of the population, however, the typical is that the connection that exists between parents and their children remains intact well into adulthood.

2. Wrong! This is a terrible miconception. Women also need to put in work to build that emotional, social and physical connection they desire to have with their children. Go on the family section and you will find just as many stories of adult children distancing themselves from their mothers as you will find those of adults children going no contact with their fathers. There is nothing of nature of what you describe. It is all work, not magic. undecided

3. Again, this is yet another lie. No one assumes men can survive because men are human beings and humans beings are social animals who thrive on the connection that exists between each other.

4. Wrong! Children are not stewpid... that is the simply answer here. The moment you accept and realize this, then you will know that the same work a woman has to do to get her children's forgiveness is the same exact same work expected of their father. It is simple. You can bully your way into being forgiven by your children(even as adults). So, if you are not wiling to do the work needed, don't bother having kids altogether, whether you are a man or a woman. undecided
I know you like standing by your argument. This is a man's truth. We know these things and we know how it plays out. Even in abroad where men are highly invested in their kid's life- Take them to games, movies , camping and several other social bonding events. The adults still abandon their dads. Abandon is a strong word to use anyway - I mean the kids don't really care for the dads as the dad cared for them. These do not apply to all children. I am saying, it's a commonplace in Nigeria and abroad.

It's possible kids have faith their parents can survive being that parents have been the one providing for them and switching that role may become hard to take. Because dads tend to provide more at home, the more likely the adult children assume dads can survive by himself.
FamilyRe: The Quiet Crisis Of Aging Men: What We Don’t Prepare Fathers For by Mayflowa(m): 8:29pm On Dec 14, 2025
Kobojunkie:
What is described in the OP has nothing to do with nature, but the result of human action, or in this case, inaction. This is the typical end of men who refuse to bond emotionally, mentally, and physically with their children and wives, or with their siblings and friends. This phenomenon has been studied, and yes, there is a male loneliness epidemic today, a result of the pattern of refusal by many men to connect in meaningful ways with their very friends and family when the chance to do so was before them. 🥱🥱🥱

2. Trying to further brainwash your baby boys into worshipping you will not remove the problem. Men need to learn to become emotionally and socially intelligent human beings, like humans are supposed to be. The onus is on men to learn to become better human beings overall, so they can connect with their fellow human beings on a level that best works for the species; stop expecting that you can use others to do the work for you. 🥱🥱
I agree some men are not connecting well with their children and wives. However, some cases go beyond this connection. There are many good, caring and generous men that ended up lonely once they become unable and weak. Women do not even need to connect for her children to be fond of her. It's nature. People assume men can survive. But men face worse situation when the wife is unforgiven of some things the man did and go on to emotionally bias her children's mind against the father. These thing happen.

Always prepare for your old age, try to put things in place that will sustain your life and do not depend on your children.

In conclusion treat your wife well always.
Even if you treated your wife like God, these things are bound to happen. Children just sees their mom more. And wives always remember the little you did not do.
PoliticsRe: SMS Between Primate Ayodele And Bayo Adelabu by Mayflowa(m): 8:33pm On Dec 13, 2025
I commend Bayo Adelabu for exposing the text message. If we all expose indiscipline, corruption and bride like this, Nigeria would have been a lot better. This is purely a con artist job. God does not need anything from man to bless you. He needs your heart and praises! Most pastors are very wicked and con men in Nigeria and they need to be called out. They are prideful on top of the congregation money. They buid schools with church money and call it theirs. Pastor in Nigeria don't really care about heaven. Earth is heaven to them!

My friend became a pastor in Omega ministries. He quickly found out pastors were power drunk and some are even diabolical and uncaring for others upcoming pastors. He ran out fast. He himself have been very worldly before he went into christianity. He realised the worldly guys were a lot better than most of the pastors because they don't pretend like the pastors do. Mostly fake arse people.

So many rubbish ideologies being copied from that side. It's a mess. Our colonialers really did us dirty!
Last week alone, I saw a thread about two Nigerians who killed their parents. There are very rude children in Naija too. Many children are also very respectful abroad. They say "yes ma'am" and "yes sir" to adults. But I found that many white kids are more respectful than black (not africans) raised kids because many blacks are single moms and are hardly avilable due to work schedule. Additionally, there are states in the United States, like Missouri, that allow you to beat your kids. Don't just wound them in the process. Browse it.

EducationRe: Can Your Child Survive South Korea's Brutal Grading System? by Mayflowa(m):
The grading system do not apply to South Korea alone- It is same used in United States and Canada secondary schools and Universities. Nigeria grading system is same as UK system. It follows different standard. I have attached the table in conversion.

The bulk of US grade is gotten from assignment and homework. In humanities, there are no exams. You submit papers and work in group. You will likely get 99% if you are active in class and do not miss any assignment. In STEM - home work can be 70% and exam 30%. So you likely getting a B or A if you are a good student. In Nigeria, the reverse is the case - Test, not even home work, is 30% and exam is 70%. If you mess up your exam, you are failing in Nigeria.

The worst part of Nigerian education is the teachers doing the grading. Many of Nigerians teachers are unfair and do not know how to give credit for work done by students. Some are biased and some are outright corrupt in grading students.

To compare, if a good Nigerian students go to US or South Korea, they will get straight A's.

lol but Divorce happens every single day in Nigeria as well. More than people even know. Sometimes you wonder where the love that made them marry in the first place even went especially the kind of evidence and things they say about themselves in court. I am certain that more women in Nigeria would leave their husbands if they were economically independent.
You're so right, Dollyjoy. The rate of divorce in Nigeria is sometimes higher that some western world. Marriage holds in Nigeria because the women are financially reliance and religiously restrained. Those are the two bondages you get loosen up from once in live abroad. Your pastor needs to talk to you with respect otherwise he go collect. lol. Still divorce is still a commonplace in modern naija and old naija. Many old mothers were and are still single mothers.
