Education › Re: Which Private University Has The Cheapest MBA Program In Nigeria? by Mayflowa(m): 7:49pm On Sep 09, 2025 |
Tunde835: You can't learn to build a business from a university. Business school is a scam. Even if it's Harvard. You learn how to build a business through trial, error and talking to other people in the field and learning from their success and failures. MBA as the name implies is mainly for business administration. Just a little part is entrepreneurship and startup. Administration could be supervising, better accounting process, Human Resources etc |

Kobojunkie: I am shocked you still regard him as your husband, assuming this tale is real in her case. 🙄🙄
Clearly, you are the wife material/good wife/submissive wife your husband settled for to build a home for his sake, while his side-chick is the woman of his dreams, whom he maintains and builds up. Hahaha. I was just looking for you on the thread and then you came with a banger. Very consistent! |

What is wrong with Nigeria? You do not just divide a state. To what end? Texas state in United States is slightly less than the full Nigeria. No one ever talks of dividing Texas. The larger the size, the better the resources. United states has never divided its states since 1800s. They only buy states from other country to add to their number of states. |

What happened to Favour Ofili at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 is unforgivable.
Once is very bad, but twice? It's unforgivable. No! One is too many! One is unforgivable! Do you know what it takes to compete in Olympic. In China, they start at age 3 just so to have a taste of Olympic. She got 2 which was manhandled by recklessness and the boss still have the audacity to talk! |

Minimum wage ought to be a living wage. It should be able to put food on the table, housing and even vacation. Once you are working in government or public service at any level, worker should be able to afford these basic necessities just like elsewhere in the world. |

If you become the GMD of NNPC in a corrupt country like Nigeria, you won't be worth nothing less than $20 million. I thought so! Small boys have 600m easily. TV/Movies › Re: Lawyer Gives NBC 30-day Ultimatum To Ban Bbnaija Or Face Legal Action by Mayflowa(m): 10:37am On Aug 07, 2025 |
BlackViper: I'm usually not a fan of “moral” crusades and other manifestations of moral posturing by hypocritical, “Holier than thou” Nigerians because I feel that there are far greater types of immorality confronting this country than whether or not the hemline of a young lady's skirt crosses her knees, or whether that dress she's wearing accentuates her curves or whether a young man has dreadlocks and is wearing ripped jeans.
I always find it amusing when religious leaders denounce "immoral dressing", then invite politicians to the pulpit to address congregations. These religious leaders act as if corruption, embezzlement and nepotism are not acts of gross immorality and politicians have not been the actual heavyweight champions of immorality in Nigeria right from the beginning. Think about it. Have we not been having greedy, incompetent politcal buffoons in Nigeria since 1960, long before anyone even knew what a mini skirt was?
But all the same, I still have an axe to grind with BBN simply because I believe the monetary reward system attached to it is obscenely inflated relative to what it projects. Imagine giving 150 million naira as a reward to someone for simply idling around, gossiping, eating, drinking, fornicating etc for 90 days.
Meanwhile a 1st class graduate will be lucky to get N100,000 during his graduation ceremony and many of them don't even get that much. I agree with everything you said up there except for the money part. The organiser is into multibillion naira business and that is why they are able to afford the payment. They make 20 times more for organising the show! The 100K giving to first class is free donation. That's the difference. |

The former Indian prime minister didn't have to denigrate India to become elected. To be candid. Why will federal schools not have water. All the girls I know that attended federal girls always share the same story of fetching water with bucket over a distance for senior students before themselves. It still happens. Then there is cutting of grasses! These are archaic way to live when students are building ai infrastructure in other high schools. Life just need to change in Nigeria. Greenlandncom: What about the interest from investing those contributions for the pass 35 years?
There should be transparency in this thing so that they can see what they have contributed, what are being invested, the interest from such investments and the total balance at the end of the day.
Transparency is very important here. I agree with you that transparency should be a key process in retirement contributions. If the contributions were invested properly, he would have nothing less than 10m naira after 35 years. But our pension managers are fraudulent. They deduct money for managing the money and the money never yield interest. I am referring to banks! |

The Economy became bad otherwise 2m ought to build a house and buy a car. Assuming N5000 was saved from his monthly salary every month ( in 1990s and early 2000s, police superintendents don’t even earn N5000 per month), that will be N2.1m for 35 years without investment interest. And we know Nigeria mess up pension investment interests |
