@Poster What the heck if she hasn't cooked all her life? She can still learn to cook. It doesn't take a life time to learn cooking abi? Or is it that she doesn't want to cook? If thatz the case, then the guy should prioritize between home cooked food and his girlfriend. @ Seun You are the kind of man every woman dreams of. Somebody who treats her like a fellow-being. Kudos! |
@ Poster Are you a follower of hinduism? Because they give utmost importance to astrological compatibilty (and strange enough, parents do the decision making ). I personally know people who have rejected their girlfriends/boyfriends on the basis of astrological incompatibility. But then again, there are remedial measures too, aren't there? What's your girl friend's take on this issue? Personally, I feel emotional compatibilty has to be considered most when you decide to settle down with somebody. |
@ Jesqueen You are not talking about wht you want from this relationship, do you want to stay with him or do you want to leave this r'shp behind when you go to Canada? (atleast thatz wht i understood '' if he wants ok, otherwise forget it kind of attitude". I never read or for that matter sensed a "I love him unconditionally" stuff in any of your posts) Why trail behind somebody who is not interested in a future with you? Forget about his ethinicity, this has nothing to do with he being a nigerian or you being a chinese (if your story is true). It's a pure man-woman thing. I don't think getting to know about igbo men or nigerian men would solve your problem. Anywayz, all the very best in whatever decision you take. |

@jenny2007 thanks a lot pal, i'am eagerly looking fwd to my trip. I'll send a detailed update once I reach there and keep you posted on how the place is doin now. ![]() |
God, I just can't believe my luck. I have been going around looking for the minutest thing on the web regarding Enugu and here comes one right beneath my nose. Infact I had a topic posted on Aba and Enugu in this forum earlier. I'm going to Enugu to take up a new job and being an expat was wondering whether there would be places of interest, like the ones in Lagos. ( I love Shoprite and Megaplaza and stuff). Though not regularly, it is refreshing to go to places like this occassionally. Also I enjoy shopping at all the local markets in Lagos. Doyou have things like this in Enugu as well? Somebody told me that Enugu has huge water scarcity . Is it true? |
@luxoire Maybe you should spy on him, and collect more concrete evidence so that he gets no chance to deny your findings. Otherwise, play along till something comes up. In either case, 'your' future should be your priority and hence concentrate on your exams for the time being. All the best !!! |
Is it porated or pro-rated ? ![]() |

@Seun I love my life more than anything else, My first and primary concern is safety. All the people I have been speaking to are giving me mixed responses, When I think of the burning issues I have to deal with, I just can't let go of this offer. That's how I came to this forum to seek help from all of you. Which one do you think I should opt for, Aba or Enugu? (or should I wait for something to come up in Lagos itself? Don't think it is going to happen anytime soon ) |
Does Enugu have any expats at all? Do you think I'd look like a misfit there if I choose Enugu? How far is Port Harcout from Enugu? God, I've never been so much confused in my life |
The company in question has given me a choice after noticing my skeptical approach in accepting the Aba offer. I can choose Aba or I can opt to move to their Enugu branch. Now, somebody please tell me which is better. They need an answer from me before the end of next week. I badly need a job and this is the only one in the offing |
Thank you all for being so supportive and encouraging. After going through all these posts, I'm looking forward to my posting in Aba ![]() |

Hey, even I have had this doubt. Infact some of the stuff these mobile vendors have are far more tempting than the ones displayed in the hi-fi shopping malls. ![]() |
I'm not a Nigerian and have been living in Lagos for sometime now. Recently got a job offer which requires me to relocate to Aba. A Nigerian friend advised me to reject this as Aba was not a safe place for expats like us. Is it true? |
Awwwww, I think Pat Attah and Genevive should be called the most good looking ones |

I'm new to this forum and was shocked to see so much hatred and mud-slinging happening here. Is Seun such a bad person ![]() |
