You're no different from a religious fanatic who tries to explain what they have no idea about. Genesis 1:1, what was the elohims doing before the beginning? Whatever they were doing they didn’t begin it until the beginning. |

Sand2022: From the point you made under the topic, duress, you can then agree that if that individual shoot someone without being under duress, the law will judge him to have done that killing out of freewill, right? So the law outlining the consequences for killing is not seen to be removing your free will. It's only setting a boundary for your freewill. Is there a law on the land about killing your fellow man? Do you know as citizens we have certain rights? Is that not infringing on out freewill then? Don’t you get it |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Fall Of Man - Who Is To Blame? by Maynman: 4:32pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
Sand2022: LHowever, placing a consequence for one's action doesn't mean he is not acting on freewill. Consequences for an action is not being under duress. Being under duress would be when you are forced to move to the other end with the negative consequences. Not when you move there on your own. Been under duress and coercion is consequences for an action, i gave you an example, your money or your life. Any decision you take is not from your freewill, it’s not voluntary. Please look up the definition of voluntary. |

Sand2022: When did prior cause turn to consequences? My brother what that definition is saying is that one's decisions is not based on pre-determination. Eg, you set your alarm to ring by 8pm. If it rings at that time, it did so because of your earlier or prior setup. It didn't ring by its own prompting. When i am talking about consequences, even a reward is a consequence and not only punishment.

Pure atheism is an ignorant position, just like theism. Both are the same sides of the same coin.
But deism is still reasonable. Agnosticism is also a belief. Atheism is non belief, whatever the forseeable future holds i will wait, while waiting i am not believing any gods.

Sand2022: Hmmm you de wonderful o. This discussion will really take a century to end if you don't understand common definition.
When did prior cause turn to consequences? My brother what that definition is saying is that one's decisions is not based on pre-determination. Eg, you set your alarm to ring by 8pm. If it rings at that time, it did so because of your earlier or prior setup. It didn't ring by its own prompting.
In other words, the definition is saying that if you're not pre-destined, you have free will. If a thief says your life or your money, whatever option you pick, is it voluntarily? Is it of your own freewill? Or your choices are determined by the consequences? |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Fall Of Man - Who Is To Blame? by Maynman: 2:59pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
Sand2022: You have freewill brother. It appears you don't undythe meaning of free will. Let's see what Webster's Dictionary says:
1. voluntary choice or decision. Eg I do this of my own free will
2: freedom of humans to make choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention.
These are the definition of free will. If you can make a choice without being coded to decide that way, you have free will. Read your number 2 especially. Choices that are not determined by prior causes. If you are doing something because of the consequences you are not doing it from freewill, you are only reacting to the consequences. |

Amen Illiterate “devil” is only found in Abrahamaic religions, some theists don’t have the concept of “devil” in their MYTHOLOGY, and the funny thing is divine(god) and devil(deava) mean same time, same side of the same coin. Lordreed, ignoticism only makes sense when you are talking to a non theist especially these agnostics. A typical theist has a name for his deity, “god” is just a generic title, an English word with Germanic origins. A yahweh worshipper and a Allah(hubal) worshipper will never agree they worship the same “god”, they worship different things call “god”.
Also Ignosticism and theological noncognitivism are similar but different. Taking on labels like workch is a endless circle.

Christianity Etc › Re: Agnosticism Is The Most Scientific answer To The Question Of A Creator by Maynman: 1:53pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
Workch: But Ignosticism is scientific: it does not take the question of God seriously because there are no falsifiable parameters to test. It thinks that no one should take such abstract concept seriously until someone brings anything that we can test so they really do not bitejr if God exist it not if it cannot be tested.
I like this concept To a Christian you are an atheist, you don’t believe in his god, to a Muslim you are an atheist you don’t believe in his god, carrying label all around is rubbish. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Agnosticism Is The Most Scientific answer To The Question Of A Creator by Maynman: 1:47pm On Aug 10, 2023 |
Workch: The answer is invariably that "does God exist" is a non-question not worth taking seriously until someone, some day, comes along with a clear, non-outlandish and falsifiable concept.
I think as I learn everyday, I am tilting toward Ignosticism. But I am still doing my research. Science has to define what “god” means so if someone, some day, comes along with a clear, non-outlandish and falsifiable concept they will be able to match it and prove those evidences. phlogiston Was defined CLEARLY with his properties right?
