With or without leg pull
to use Honda Accord without experiencing leg pull is not rocket science sir....

My point at the end of the day ,bring pictures anybody can say anything without evidence. Your argument will not hold in a court of law .. Secondly with cars, just like with anything else in life including your health.. How you take proper care of things matters a lot.. You will see a car with 200k miles and see another car with just 100k miles.. The 200k miles car will look better than 100k miles.. All because the owner took better care of the car
well we are not in a law court... we bless God.
why should I post some else's car pictures online without permission, or I should go snap the car and tell them I want to use it in proving a point online? to what end sir? I don't feel right with it.
if you don't believe me, it's up-to you!

Has that pencil light been used on uber before.. What was the milage when the car was bought, and what is the currant milage of the car now? Do you have before and after pictures of the car? Now if you can't provide those things that I mentioned, than I think your fact is a misguided.....
Now am not sure if you fully read my post.. I stated that my civic was bought tokunbo for uber use .. It was bought with 167k miles and sold off at 275k miles.. That is over five years of normal driving... so my point is that you can't compare the two.. To my best judgement, I don't think that pencil light was use on uber at all .. You can't compare the wear and tear of an uber car to a normal car bro ... so I respectfully and continue to respectfully to disagree with you
well sir, I don't have the pictures you requested.... and the car was used under favorable conditions.
But then sir, I have civics around, used under favorable conditions too. And they are incomparable....

please note sir, I'm not trying to down play Civics, they're durable cars but not as durable as their Toyota counterparts. my point exactly.

when you want to talk about durability in Honda, you talk about Accords....thats my own view coined from experience.

it will really be disappointing if CityNGR is actually antagonist..... Kai!

I really dislike people who curse and use foul words only because they're hiding behind their phone.

CityNGR I'll really like you to disassociate yourself from antagonist monicker.
Car TalkRe: .......Supposedly Honda Civic Don't Age Well....... by Mayor555(m): 8:25am On May 20, 2019
the truth is civic do not age well like its counterparts..... if I show you a family friend's camry pencil light that has been in use since 2008(over a decade now) you'll be wowed... very sound unopened engine, factory AC setup never been tampered with... rock solid body.
The body and the interior of the car is the most amazing for a car that old on Nigeria soil!
fact is fact sir, just take it.

dru23:
One of the " God of Mechanics" was saying civic don't age well and my respond was that which naija used cars aged well ... so I posted an example of my recently sold 03 civic.. The civic was on uber for two years.. It was bought tokunbo with 167k miles and sold off at 275k miles.. If you equate that 275k miles to normal driving that is over 5 years of normal driving.. That is 20k miles a year .. I don't think any Nigeria cars under normal use will do 20k miles a year , but I use an extreme case here. So my point of the thread is that civics age well , as long as you take care of it .. Posting my civic was to show that after so many miles under aggressive driving ,coz driving under uber is aggressive. But the car still look ok body wise ...that was my point of the post

you're wrong ...check his responses, he has always being like that. Try to be honest.

why fight when we can love and care for ourselves!! But some people are just bad, I mean bad in all its meaning, they need to be corrected and tamed!

now my OGA, what's the purpose of this thread?? that civics do not age well like its counterparts, is it not a known fact??

Hello,

I have one kazeem that I use and I can say he is the best of kazeems other than that, I maintain that I do not know of mechanic that test/scan/interpret and repair professionally. I am not new in Ekiti but I agree that I most likely don't know all mechanics in Ekiti and that's why am asking. Do you know of any such mechanic? I live in the state capital
Scan, interprets and repair? Lolssswe do that everyday way back from 2012..... You mechanic is hiding so many things away from you so as to keep your loyalty!

adehab:
Honestly it is a bad buy..

You will loose either way.. Selling as it is.. Or selling after conversion..

The deed is done.. Get ready to loose if you are reselling.

No matter how perfect the mechanics are, people will eventually know a converted Vehicle..

Lesson: Consult before taking steps
You haven't seen things... Hmmmmmm.
Some people will go as far as changing the Driver's seat, change 'sun shade'

CityNGR:
So if you see LHD and rhd you'll take the RHD? mayor always talk true.
Ahh, Oga mi, I will choose LHD over RHD all the time.

I'm only trying to help the op, because he already bought the car(RHD).

Trying to let him understand it's not a death sentence as many are painting it to be.

I will never consciously pick RHD, only if it is ridiculously cheap.

lekbel09:
are u kiddingme? How much is RHD corolla here in naija?
Sir, why not leave people in Nairaland alone, so many of them are biased against RHD. Converting RHD is not BAD.... And you won't lose money if you plan to resell.

Some people are bitterly against it, but there's nothing there, just make sure all the basics are properly done.

Dashboard, steering rack, pedals, wiper. get booths and bonnets control right, just a few of the basic things... And also the fuseboard in the car, let it be done neatly

Last last nah to send am back to you grin
Smiles, oga mi you didn't get gist!

It was a real money! The money was usable and transferable from the Sunday afternoon that he did the transfer to Monday morning around 11am....
A lian was placed on the said amount because the owner contacted his bank that an unauthorized transaction was done on his account.

The transaction was real and usable.

Baba GAZZUZZ,it would be nice if you can shed more lights on other standards that dealers can run through when it come to transfers. I.e which other standards? Help us out,I no get time for case grin cool
The one I do most is going into the banking hall for transfer....

On weekends, at times I later the transaction till Monday, or I'll strictly use the valid ID card measure
AutosRe: As A Cardealer, Have You Ever Been Scammed By A Client? by Mayor555(m): 8:33am On May 13, 2019
GAZZUZZ:
That's my minimum standard
Wow, minimum standard? That's to say, crooks might still find away around valid ID? Please what other measures do you put in place?
Another good way to collect genuine transfer which I do more than valid ID thingy, is going into the bank to make the transfer, and I think it's by far the best.

dannybrasky:
Baba, 99% of the car deals I have done was through transfer. This is an eye opener, hmmm!! Sent shivers down my spine,I think our banks can do better,if they can't confirm authorization of a fund transfer,y make it happen at the initial stage.
My Oga, we just have to be careful..... I/we recklessly take transfers before, but now? Oga mi, buyer sef fit get pissed, because I go ask questions o. But people do understand very well, especially when I brief them my story.

I guess you are now afraid of bank transfers now!
Bros, to collect transfer from you, especially if I don't know you, or know how to to get to you, you must provide me a valid ID that must tally with account name.

I don't know oo, maybe before the person left, or the person dropped his phone in Nigeria....

The original account owner got to know about the fraud, when he got debt alert on his email.

We wanted to, so many people advised us to.. But it only amount to spending more money and most importantly more time...

We just have to thank God we got him and most importantly had our peace of mind back! We handed him over to police and forgot about him.....

The evil was averted, we only have to thank God.

If the police or efcc got to us first, or we couldn't track him down, who we go sue?

So as not to be caught in the web and busted, we had to move really fast like more than 900 horse power, using money and long leg.... Lolsss... At a time we did 18hours journey straight.... Ado to Lagos ooo.. It was crazy..
The police and EFCC were on our tail.

The owner of the account is in Canada. And he happens to be an in-law to a top officer of the law. My people, it was crazy.

The person is a Nairalander, and I know his monicker, he's not really active any longer sha.

My saving grace was holding on to the first number he used to contact me that morning. Would've have been seriously wounded.
AutosRe: As A Cardealer, Have You Ever Been Scammed By A Client? by Mayor555(m): 3:18pm On May 12, 2019
He drove the car to Alawusa, unknowing to him he was going to meet police officers....he was then taken to alawusa police station. Then brought him and the car to Ado Ekiti

from my own investigation, I gathered he somehow got hold of the original account owner's SIM card.

But before Banks could open the accounts blocked, it ran to about 4months with alot of lonnnnng leg.... With good amount of money inside them.

Bottomline, when you lost the SIM that links to your account, act fast by informing your bank and do a welcome back.

Spent over 200k tracking him..

Wait sir,
I'll complete the story.

Wrote petition to police station(SIB) we informed the DSS..

In a week, the SIB guys tracked the wife and picked her and her daughter(very beautiful baby girl) from Ibadan and brought her to Ado Ekiti, the SIB guys did their job and got him using the wife(i wouldn't want to mention how they did it,) he was arrested in alawusa in Lagos...

Police and EFCC were on our tail.. At a time, my brother had to leave his house (him and his wife), they dropped their phone in the lot, and went to a far hotel to spend the night so has to not be busted unawares
