BREAKING: At last, FG, ASUU reach agreement, sign deal

The federal government and the striking University teachers have finally signed an agreement, raising hope of an end to the three months old strike.

The agreement was signed on Thursday in Abuja during a meeting between the warring parties.

The University lecturers commenced a nationwide strike late last year to demand for the full implementation of the agreement it reached with the government in 2009.

Until now, government and the leadership of the union have met nine different times, with non yielding any meaningful result.

Meanwhile, ASUU has not formally declared suspension of the strike as it is yet to address the media as at the time of filing this report.

Hello all! My dad called me yesterday telling me one woman from the federal scholarship board called him to say my form has not gotten back to them and that if I don't submit quick I may lose the scholarship.

I went to the students affairs in my school( Uniben) and they said they've posted it. and that they would still repost it this morning if that's the case. I called the woman myself to confirm.

She said others have been paid and only me and others from my school haven't been cleared over there.

Pls I want to confirm, is there any awardee here that has been paid? Make them no carry am pass me o abeg.

Thank God, I got it! The names have be pasted here in Uniben. The man who's supposed to give me my award letter has left his office ystrday b4 I got there. I should get it on Monday.

Hi all, i'm studying Dentistry and Dental surgery in Uniben. Here, dentistry and mbbs are schools in the college of Medicine. I wud like to know how they are separated and unified in your schools.

Agbami scholarship is for students in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medical lab science, Nursing and Engineering. Students. This year's schlship is open to indigenes of ALL Nigerian states.

Now the 'stresses' continues. . . . . . Faculty and Departmental clearance on point today. What worries me xo much is the issue of paying school fees before being considered for hostel accomodation. After we paid acceptance and some other tinz and even #1,500 for application and SUG dues. I pray God will change their minds oo *drops phone, kneels to fire prayer*

I managed to pay in Unity bank yesterday despite that the info was impromptu, despite the long queues, the harsh weather and the brief downpour. It was stressful but, i kinda enjoy d experience. . . I am presently at the bursary department.
