Pastor cancels wedding over couple’s HIV status

Jesse Karanja demanded the couple to undergo HIV test but still refused to officiate after they presented results - The church said they had requested the couple to meet certain requirements which they did not

A couple from Bahati, Nakuru County due for marriage has gone into hiding after their pastor cancelled their wedding at the last minute.
Joyce Waithera and Paul Waithaka were instructed to take a HIV test before walking down the aisle and when the results came in, the pastor refused to officiate their wedding.

KTN News indicate the cleric, Jesse Karanja, even went as far as calling the police to drive the couple's guests out of the church compound.

The bride and groom could not bear the embarrassment and decided to stay away from the premises leaving the guests to feast on the food before leaving.

Everything from the decorations, sitting arrangements to the cars meant to ferry the bridal party went to waste after pastor Jesse refused to show up for the ceremony. According to a guest close to the family, Jesse kept giving insensible excuses as to why the wedding could not take place.

Nigeria’s central bank has done a good job keeping the naira stable, but it’s paying a high price.

The currency of Africa’s biggest oil producer has barely budged this year, weakening less than 1 percent against the dollar. That compares with 14 percent for South Africa’s rand and 4.3 percent for major emerging-market currencies, which have been battered by the dollar’s strength and trade tensions between the U.S. and China.

The cost for Nigeria has come in the form of falling reserves and higher bond yields needed to prop up the currency and attract portfolio investors. Since peaking in mid-May, foreign-exchange reserves have dropped by $5.9 billion, or 12 percent, to $42 billion.

Yields on the government’s one-year naira bills have soared more than 450 basis points in that time to 16.6 percent, the highest level this year.

Central bank Governor Godwin Emefiele is content for now. In this environment, Nigeria has to choose between building reserves and having a stable currency and the latter is preferable, he said last month at the International Monetary Fund’s annual meetings in Bali.

Central banks around the world have upped their spending on gold to the highest level in almost three years, according to the World Gold Council (WGC).

More than 148 metric tons of gold were bought by the national banks in the three months to the end of September, a rise of 22 percent on the same period last year.

Using the current spot price of $1,223 per troy ounce, the gold purchases by the banks added up to a $5.82 billion spending splurge on the precious metal.

Russia's central bank led the buying, purchasing more than 92 tons of gold. This marked the country's biggest quarterly net purchase on records that stretch back to 1993.

In May this year, the Russian central bank's First Deputy Governor Dmitry Tulin told lawmakers in the lower house of parliament that gold was "a 100 percent guarantee from legal and political risks."

How to Set Up PS4 & Create Your PlayStation 4 Profile

Just unwrapped a new PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro? If yes, I know you are quite excitied and knida nervous how to get gaming straight away.

There's plenty to be nervous about, as PS4 comes with a huge range of features that makes it a robust media player in addition to a highly capable gaming machine.

You'll also want a PlayStation Account to get the most out of the console, and a PlayStation Plus subscription is needed to play online. These new features and services means setting up the PlayStation is a bit more complicated than previous consoles.

To make sure the setup process is as simple as possible, watch our video on how to set up a PlayStation 4 for a step-by-step guide to getting the PS4 up and running.

Let's get straight to the issue.

Note: Don't throw away the box your PS4 came in. It's designed to be used as a carrying case so you can transport your console safely.

Connect the Console to Your TV
Connect the included HDMI cable to your TV and the PS4's HDMI Out port
Connect your console to your cable or satellite box
Unplug the existing HDMI cable connecting your cable or satellite box to the TV and plug it into the PS4's HDMI In port
Plug the PS4 into a power source
Power on the PS4
Plug the controller into the PS4 using the included Micro USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller to pair it with your PS4
Connect to the Internet
Note: For a smooth gaming experience, we recommend directly connecting your PS4 to your router or modem with an Ethernet cable. If you decide to use Wi-Fi, simply follow the steps below.

From the Home screen, press the up button on your controller to display the top navigation bar
Go to the Settings menu on the top navigation bar
Select Network
Select Set Up Internet Connection
Select Use Wi-Fi
Select Easy
Find your network from the displayed list
Enter the password for your network using the keyboard display on your screen, then select OK
When the option appears to use a proxy server, select Do Not Use
Select Test Internet Connection to run a test that makes sure you're connected properly
Once you're connected, you can back out of this menu by pressing the circle button on your controller until you're back to the Home screen
Once you've connected your console to the Internet, create a PlayStation Network account and password. Pick a strong password, but make sure it's easy for you to remember.

Note: If you already have a PlayStation Network account — if you're upgrading from a PS3, for example — you can use that account to login without having to create a new one.

At this point, your console will take a few minutes to automatically download and install any necessary updates.

How To Connect PS4 Pro
If you're setting up a PS4 Pro, then there are a couple of extra steps you might need to take. 

The first is to make sure you're using an HDMI port on your TV that supports 4K. Look out for a port that's labelled HDMI 2.0, rather than the older 1.4 standard. 
If none seem to be labelled that way, then try to plug your console into the first HDMI port (usually called HDMI1), as most TVs tend to hide any non-4K capable HDMI ports further down. 
Secondly, you'll need to head into the settings menu to make sure that 4K output is selected. Select 'Sound and Screen' from the settings menu, and then go into 'Video Output Settings'. 
From here, set the resolution to '2160p - YUV420' or '2160p - RGB'. If both of these options are greyed out, then your TV doesn't support 4K through this HDMI port. Check to see which of its HDMI ports do support 4K. 
Note that you might have to also jump into the settings within a game to enable 4K. 
While in this same system menu, you should also check to make sure that your TV support HDR, and use your TVs on-screen menus to ensure it's activated.
Our final tip is to enable 'game mode' if it's an option with your TV. The location of this option will vary from set to set, but turning it on is a must if you want your games to not suffer from too much input lag.

Overheating is when your car’s engine is running too hot. Too little antifreeze can cause this problem, particularly if the antifreeze is leaking or not circulating through the system properly because of a faulty uptake hose. If your engine is overheating, you should pull over, stop the car, and let the engine cool down.

If you are not in a position to immediately stop the car, you should turn the heater on, which will temporarily cool the engine a bit until you can pull over and assess the problem.

If your car is overheating, it can be very serious. You shouldn't continue to drive if you see the temperature gauge has moved towards the "hot" side. Your car may not immediately explode or anything like that, but driving with an overheating engine can cause serious damage to your vehicle. It's better to pull over and deal with it right away instead of risking very expensive repairs later.

Cause Of Car Overheating

There are a number of things that can cause your engine to overheat. Some of these are fairly common issues, especially on a hot summer day in the Phoenix, Tempe and Chandler areas.

Improperly Circulating Coolant
If the water/antifreeze mixture isn't circulating correctly, the engine will start to overheat. This mixture keeps your engine cool during the hot months and prevents it from freezing during the cold months. Be sure to check it regularly to avoid this. Even if you don't have any leaks, over time it can evaporate. You can add about half a cup of water to a low antifreeze tank to cool down your engine and get you to an auto shop.

There's A Leak
If your water/antifreeze levels are constantly low, there's a leak in your cooling system somewhere. If you're experiencing this, make an appointment with us today. We'll track down the leak and give you an affordable estimate for the repair.

A Hose Needs Replacing
Over time, the hoses that circulate your coolant may become blocked or detached. While it may not be completely blocked up, even a partial blockage can prevent the proper amount of coolant from circulating. Again, this is something we can check for during an inspection here in our shop.

Other Causes
If the levels of water and antifreeze appear normal, there may be a more serious malfunction with your engine. In this case, it's best to bring your car to an auto mechanic as soon as possible. We can track down issues that can help prevent more expensive repairs down the road.

The animal lands at the feet of a man and a woman, who run screaming from the room. It turns out the giant snake was actually an adolescent Burmese python – one of the five largest species of snakes in the world.

But it appeared to be just as terrified as the humans it had interrupted, quickly darting under some furniture for safety. One employee later returned to the room to record the animal on his mobile phone – because if you don’t get it on camera did it even happen? Big, bold, elegant and beautiful, Audi’s fastback A7 sedan receives a major makeover for model year 2019, the first since its introduction in 2012. Sharing the architecture of Audi’s new flagship A8, the A7 continues to feature a sleek hatchback design—Sportback, in Audi speak—in contrast to the three-box formal sedan look of the A8.

Elements of the update include an expanded grille that sits slightly lower in a more vertical front end treatment, flanked by narrower headlamps at the top and large air intakes down low.

The A7 also has Wider fender flares, sheltering alloy wheels up to 21 inches in diameter, and a strong lower body character line lend a more athletic look to the exterior, while pruning just over a half-inch from overall length (195.6 inches on a fractionally shorter 115.2-inch wheelbase) reduces front and rear overhangs.

Width is 75.6 inches, and the tallest point of the sloping roof is 56.0. A new taillamp spans the entire rear of the car, just below a retractable rear spoiler. Audi is presenting the 2019 A6 as a platform for contemporary style, modern infotainment and assist systems, more than a little bit of sports car-like performance, and—quite literally—quiet luxury.

The new A6 is also a mild hybrid, with a 48-volt main electrical system purpose-built to aid efficiency. A belt alternator starter connected to the A6’s crankshaft can recover up to 12 kW during deceleration, storing that power in a lithium-ion battery in the rear.

That power is used to increase the threshold of the A6’s start-stop system to just under 14 mph, and is also connected to the camera sensors of the A6 so it can start the engine back up as it senses traffic moving ahead even with the driver’s foot on the brake. Braking is excellent, requiring little effort while giving good feedback and confidence.

Audi’s winning streak of beautiful interior design continues in the 2019 A6. Job Description

Subject to the general control of the Governing Council, the Provost shall be the Chief Executive of the College and shall be charged with the general responsibility for matters relating to the day-to-day management/operations of the College.
Duties/Responsibilities

The Provost is the Chief Academic, Administrative and Accounting Officer of the College
He has statutory power to exercise general authority over the staff, and has the responsibility for the discipline in the College
The Provost is responsible for the appointment, promotion and discipline of all staff below CONTEDISS 6, that is junior staff, acting on the recommendation of the Junior Staff Appointments and Promotions Committee
The Provost is the Chairman of the Academic Board
The Provost is expected to attend all meetings of Council and to provide Council with periodic reports on the progress of the College
He is also expected to ensure that decisions of Council are carried out fully, and promptly.
As an Accounting Officer of the College, the Provost is responsible for authorizing all payments. Though he may delegate authority for certain votes to other officers, but he must be responsible for ensuring that all payments are in accordance with Government Financial Regulation, Treasury Circulars and Council’s decisions within this framework
As the Accounting Officer of the College, he must ensure that sound financial management is put in place and should be advised by the Bursar on all financial matters
The Provost is responsible for ensuring that meetings of Council and its Committees are properly serviced
If the Provost is on leave or otherwise absent with the permission of the Council, the Deputy Provost shall perform the duties of the Provost, including representing him on the Council
The Provost may delegate to the Deputy Provost other functions that will make the latter fully functional as the Acting Provost
Any other duty which the Council may from time to time assign to him.
