The government of Nigeria renewed its FP 2020 commitments at the 2017 London FP2020 conference, with the aim of accelerating the country towards achieving an mCPR target of 27%. The country has made significant progress in implementing the national FP Blueprint (2013- 2018), which ends this year. With the expiration of the Blueprint in 2018, the FMOH in collaboration with key stakeholders have commenced the process of revising the document. The development of a revised National FP Blueprint 2019-2023 commenced with a strategic meeting held in Kano between 13th – 16th September 2018. At the end of the meeting broad strategies along the PP thematic areas were developed. A consultant is required to work with key stakeholders in the thematic area stated above to refine the strategies as well as define activities to achieve the strategies. Purpose The purpose of this assignment is to work with FMoH and key stakeholders within the Thematic Area to refine the broad strategies and develop activities with timelines and metrics to measure success for a new national PP Blueprint 2018-2023. These two fighting lizards appear to put their differences behind them in a series of adorable snaps which show them hugging it out. The passionate pair can be seen embracing following a playful tussle in Bhadra Tiger Reserve in Karnataka, India. Photographer, Kishora Venky, captured the monitor lizards during a jeep safari. Specifically the emergency support was targeted at: IDPs in camps and host communities. Host Communities impacted by influx of IDPs IDPs in make-shift or informal camps IDPs that moved out of camps to their original communities. Refugees returning from other countries People residing in newly accessible areas. This intervention which was the biggest public sector intervention was adjudged very successful by all stakeholders. Consequently, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved an extension and expansion of the scope of the project to sustain and enhance improvement of health outcomes among the target population. The expansion has entailed a need for additional human resources that needs to be filled urgently. Job Responsibilities The Volunteer Health Personnel will have the following responsibilities: To support the delivery of quality health, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial support services at Health and Nutrition Emergency Response sites for inhabitants of affected Local Government Areas of Borno State. To provide outreach and mobile health services to various communities in the state in line with existing protocols and standard operating procedures. To support development of mechanisms and strategies pursuant to improvement of quality of health services in health facilities according to their levels. 7 friends Moliehi Mareka, Mahlatse Mothiba, Tshepang Motete, Thato Mosehle, Toni Motseoile, Lungile Mkhungo, and Lijeng Lefosa will be among those who will be graduating as doctors on the 6th of December 2018 at the Free State University. Medical school is filled with a whole lot of challenges but with God on their side, this seven were able to make it. Thato shared several photos of the group on Facebook along with the caption: "Glory to God!! We did it y'all! We proved so many people wrong, we've proved so many people right." They were among the nine ‘black’ students in a class of 130 students and this also served as a motivation to them. Speaking to TimesLIVE, 24-year-old Tshepang said she was raised in a rural village by parents who aren't professionals. She's the first in her family to become a doctor. Adjusting to modern technological equipment during her studies was therefore a huge challenge. Luckily, older students were there to guide them, she said. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported that APC lawmakers are still insisting that incumbent Senate President – Sen. Bukola Saraki must vacate his seat following his defection from the party to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) – Sen. Ndume. Sen. Ali Ndume (APC-Borno), says plans to impeach the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, are much alive. Ndume, who disclosed this at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja on Tuesday, also said that he would not be bought over with his appointment as Chairman, Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service. NAN reports that Ndume is one of the APC lawmakers that has insisted that Saraki must vacate his seat following his defection from the party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He had a running battle with Saraki following his supposed support for the Executive against decisions of the National Assembly. This led to the losing of his seat as Leader of the Senate and his suspension for six legislative months. He was also stripped of his position as Chairman Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
