The problem is that while its good to form as a girl, you have to realise that the dynamics has changed these days. Because people date or marry for the wrong reasons. Oh he has a nice job, car, he has money. No one wants to lose. Everything is now transactional. The Nigerian hardship factor also contributes to this. Nigerians see every situation as an avenue to make money or gain an upper hand over the other person. Its in built in our minds. So if a guy toasts you, and you are forming hard to get, he might not genuinely like you. He probably just wants to use you to kill time. So many people actually don't knoe what they want. They just want what's available at the moment.
