If Nigerian soldiers are killed in the north by Boko Haram, they are not loudly hailed as heroes or galant soldiers and no loud news about their spouses and children’s welfare. But if they are killed anywhere in the south by unknown gunmen (UGM), or any other group, they become heroes and galant soldiers and all newspapers, electronic news headlines and social media will be bursting loudly with, “Nigerian army heroes and galant soldiers”. Then, States and Federal Govts will be announcing on high volume the welfare packages for their spouses and children. Why is it like this?
