Protectionism is key to self preservation . Since the beginning of time ,first world countries have always put measures in place to protect its borders and local market. Some first world countries have put punitive tarrifs as high as 21% on goods to protect their citizens from the Chinese.

Even among the Igbos there is no unity. A man from Imo wont support a man from Anambra politically because they are from different states..I have seen that happen among Igbos.

If Biafra eventually come into reality there will be a fresh war among Biafrans on who to be their leader. Example is what's happening in Sudan today

If igbos want biafra it's their right but they should kindly read this :
1)Biafra landmass is strictly restricted to the core 5 igbos states(abia,anambra,imo,ebonyi,enugu)
2)A very good majority of igbos stay outside biafra states
a) they are mostly into business
b) they have landed properties
Note:In a case they are granted independence,they will be expelled from nigeria which will definitely result to lost of business and properties
But the few that will want to stay in Nigeria will be required to obtain visa (CERPAC FROM NIS
3)Igbos are not that wholly united
a) the eastern heartland sees themselves as the main unadoltrated igbos compared to enugu n ebonyi
4)No igbo land is connected to the sea(they will need to pay exxorbitant levy to import via nigeria(sudan and south sudan)
