nansng: Also speaking on the ministerial list, National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, stated that Tinubu had lost out in the Buhari’s government. Odumakin said: “When a man thinks he’s too smart, he will ultimately dribble himself. What has happened to Tinubu is that those he launched all kinds of war against have become the victors. He never knew that the attack he was launching against them was a way of actually helping those people. I hope Tinubu did not sleep with Odumakin's wife? The man is filled with so much bile where Tinubu is concerned. He needs to try and get a life and stop seeing Tinubu in his dreams. |

I have a lot of problems with Ambode, going to Quilox is not one of them. If he wants he can even attend service at Elegushi on Sunday. I am more worried about the obvious auto-pilot mode of the state. Over 100 days gone, i can't see one sector where he is visible. For a man who was already in the civil service and retired from there, settling down is no excuse. |

UmuEri: Return ‘Arabic Ajami’ To Naira Notes – Muslim Group Urges Buhari Featured
He said that whoever insists on the removal of Arabic Anjami from the naira and from other emblems must accept the equal removal of English graphics from the same materials, adding that after all English is the language of the Bible as it is known in Nigeria and it is on the nation’s naira and all other emblems.
He added: “By the way, apart from massaging the ego of Goodluck Jonathan and satisfying the narrow interest of Muslim-haters, what has Nigeria gained from removing Arabic from the naira? We appeal to the Federal Government to redress this wrong.”

This whole ministerial merry-go-round is the final nail on the coffin of this government. We need to go home and sleep. We did well kicking GEJ out ,as i am a firm believer that failure should never be rewarded (and GEJ failed in summary). Same response seems to be waiting for PMB. What was the point of wasting four bloody months to end up appointing non-technocrats? PMB has spent the past 16 years trying to be president. Now he is president, he seems bereft of a clear cut idea of what to do with power. Even the fight against corruption is so hazy and unclear. The secrecy in governance seems to be a means of covering planlessness. |

Politics › Re: Revealed: How Buhari Chose His Nominees - The Nation by mbulela: 8:22am On Oct 02, 2015 |
If this article is correct then this nation is headed in the wrong direction (same as it was in the last govt). You mean he is appointing ministers without any form of interview or prior discussion? No meeting of minds to confirm that their is an alignment in olicy direction? No prior discussion of what portfolio he will. Be assigning them and the vision of hey will bring to bear in such an ministries? Not even a discussion to confirm their willingness to serve? Or is it a forgone conclusion that no one turns down such opportunities?
What exactly is this tendency towards secrecy in governance? When did ministerial appointments become Iran nuclear arms disarmament? After all the secrecy we have ended up with same names we rumoured. This lack of direction and swiftness coded in secrecy is becoming boring.
For our collective good, I just hope this article is wrong. |

omenka: Some of these guys are so irritating. Haba. They complain about everything. Should 50 ministers be appointed from the SE for them to be satisfied?? There are 5 states in the zone and going by fair representation, if 36 ministers are to be appointed, only 5 would come from there. Now, only 21 names so far have been mentioned, each of them representing a different state, yet they complain!!! Should an Igbo man be appointed to represent a state from the North, West or any of the other zones?? They call Nigeria a zoo, next minute, they complain about appointments in the zoo!
It is utterly disgusting.
Just look at the other one throwing careless insults- go to his profile and look at his pic- an animal wouldn't live in that room!! Yet he insults everyone.
I'm sure he would have taken down the shameful pic by now. What do you expect! Seun and his moderators have refused to address budding ethnic bigots. So they have no option but grow in infantile rascality. |
