GSM, when it came into the country was charging N10000-20000 for sim card. That money they earned from high fares was used to build all the new facilties that enable you to enjoy their services better...and also to eventually cut prices.

Before we grumble...consider a few facts

1.When we privatised electricity distribution and generation, the price increase was written into the law that governs the thing.

2.We need anything between $300-900billion to get light 24/7.

3.Privatization means that you pay more from your pocket.

4.We have to pay our bills...and let's be frank...we pay bills lower than countries like Ghana...who pay twice as much as we do.

5.Electricity is not a free lunch.

I am a Man United fan and hate the blue side of Manchester, but let us be very fair and objective. England had a very bad spell with soccer hooliganism and that is why pitch invasions by fans have been cracked down on for years now. The securitymen and stewards should have prevented this pitch invasion. When fans pour into the pitch in that manner, do you know their intentions?

Or can we forget so easily how Monica Seles was stabbed by a fan of Steffi Graf on a tennis court? Can we forget the incident where Dino Baggio of Lazio FC was injured by a knife thrown at him by a fan during a football match? (I don't expect the Indomie generation to know about these).

When you see people you don't know run towards you after a football game in that kind of mob manner, what do you do? Simply sit back and allow yourself to be turned to a guinea pig? To be stabbed with a knife or a dirty needle? Do you know what the intentions of those fans are?

Aguero did what he should do: defend and protect himself from aggression and I am with him 100% on this one.
