You have a point in saying your sister's option is better in this case but your wife to be must have noticed their over involvement in other issues which is upsetting her already. This doesn't mean she hates them but you might have been telling her stories about your sisters involvement in your life affairs, to you it's ok but to her it might seem odd because she's from a different family

Try to understand her more, make her feel comfortable with them by helping her to feel secure in your love, this can be done through occasional reassurance.

Ma'am, excuse me but I don't think you are on the right path though that is your opinion and I respect it. Defending the lady in question is okay because we haven't been opportune to hear her own part of the story BUT judging from what is on ground, I don't see the reason why the lady in question have to be bitter and cold towards his husband to be family. Haba na! Who does that? If you read correctly what he said here, it clearly shows that there is no love for the family at all.

My brethren, you need to have a round table discussion/pillow talk with your wife to be. Find out what her grievances towards your family is. If okay for you, I suggest you take her to your pastor/imam for thorough counseling and discussion. Remember, this is one mistake you can't afford to make. A wrong move can ruin your life forever! Brother, First of all I must commend you for finding out what is wrong with your student. You did a good job.
Now that you've found out what the real situation is you need to take the necessary action to help that young girl. As you can see, She have been maltreated, tormented, brutalized and even threatened of her life if she ever speaks out.

So what I think you can do is first of all talk to your head teacher/ Principal of the school about the situation. If he/she is a good person, it will help a lot and together you guys can go to any of the international organizations like UNICEF, AMNESTY International or any of the NGOs that takes care of cases like that out there. You made mention that the man accused is a very influential and powerful politician, then you need to man up and be ready for the task because looking at the part of the world we all live in, it will never be an easy task but you will be victorious with the right organization or people.

Please!! Help the poor kid. May the Good God/ Allah strengthen you, Amen.
