So true |
This may sound strange, but it’s true that many women who are good wives, perfect mothers, and who are very successful at work, stay in bad relationships. Why? It’s actually an age old question, but here are a few major reasons why a good woman stays in a bad relationship. 1. Insecurity If a woman is a housewife and she’s living a simple life she might feel insecure about the idea of ending a bad relationship she is in. She thinks that her relationship is not so bad, because she has a house, husband and children. She doesn’t know what she’d do if she leaved her man who earns money and who is the father of her children, even if she knows that he doesn’t love.Read also – 8 Obvious Signs of an Unhealthy Relationship 2. Love One of the great reasons why a good woman stays in a bad relationship is because she loves her partner a lot. She has accepted him as he is without any conditions and she is ready to forgive him everything. Her love just blinds her from seeing that the relationship she is in is hurting her dignity. 3. Hope Perhaps, the biggest mistake most women make is that they think they can change their partners. They think that if they stay in the relationship that has gone sour, they can make him change into a better person, but eventually they make the mistake of changing themselves. A good woman who is in a bad relationship hopes that one day he will change his attitude toward her. 4. Fear A good woman stays in a bad relationship because she is simply afraid of being alone. It’s not so easy for a committed woman to think of breakup or divorce. She thinks that being in a bad relationship is better than being alone. She might have a good career, but she’s still afraid of the big world outside. Plus, the idea of raising her children on her own can be very frightening for her. 5. Too late For a good woman it seems impossible to end a long-term relationship. She thinks that it’s too late to be out of the bad relationship. That’s why she sticks to it. Plus, the constant abuse may lower her self-worth and make her believe that she doesn’t deserve a better life. 6. Too good to hurt him A good woman stays in a bad relationship because she loves her man, wants to have kids with him, and takes care of all his needs, yet doesn’t get the love from him. She doesn’t fight back as she doesn’t want to hurt her husband. She has a loving heart that forgives the cruel treatment of her man. A good woman quietly accepts her life and continues living in a dream that one day her husband will love her back.Read also – 7 Unhealthy Reasons Couples Stay Together after Their Love Fades Away 7. No way out Sometimes a good woman may fear for her life, and she is scared to end a bad relationship, especially if she is not financially independent. She doesn’t have a job and she feels like she cannot work and make her own money. 8. A beautiful past A woman who has been in an amazing relationship with her man for a long period of time can never leave him. She may think that they just have difficult times, that’s why they fight a lot. She just can’t accept that the man who has lost interest in her or who’s now abusing her verbally or even physically is the same man that she once loved. Why a good woman stays in a bad relationship can range from the emotions all the way down to fear. It’s difficult to break up with someone, especially if you are dependent on them or love them. Have you ever been in a bad relationship? Do you know any other reasons why good women stay in bad relationships? Feel free to share your experiences. Amerikanki.com |

LASAA orders TAN to remove Jonathan ‘s posters January 22, 2015 Written by Miriam Ekene-Okoro The Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA) has ordered the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) and its affiliates to remove illegally deployed campaign adverts of President Goodluck Jonathan in the state.LASAA’s Managing Director George Noah told reporters yesterday in Lagos that two outdoor agencies had their contracts worth N350 million terminated due to the flagrant act by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).Noah named the two agencies as Touch Point Nigeria Limited and Clearedge Limited, adding that two advertisers- a Chinese Telecoms Firm and Globacom- have terminated their contracts with the outdoor companies, following the parallel and illegal deployment of the President’s campaign advert. He said the agency was constrained by the developments in the electioneering campaign “to bring to the fore impunity and illegality that pose immeasurable and long term damage to those who erect, operate and maintain billboards in the state”.Noah said as a regulatory body, LASAA was willing to give approval to any party that applied to use any of the authorised places, adding that rather than follow due process, PDP and its supporters engage in unlawful acts of destroying other existing adverts paid for on the streets poles to paste that of President Jonathan and other candidates.Noah stressed that the development was capable of destroying the outdoor industry, particularly at this time of severe competition from TV, radio and social media.“This illegal and brazen act by agents of the PDP is unjust, inconsiderate and unacceptable,” Noah said, stressing that if not checked it could lead to the lay off of workers and loss of revenues by stakeholders in the sector.Noah said the PDP had deployed policemen in areas where this illegality was going on, adding that the agencies would remove such campaign materials in line with the enabling law setting up LASAA.He said the fact that the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) was also putting ‘X’ signs on the campaign materials further confirmed that the advert materials were deployed without complying with the regulatory standard.“What they have done now is to withdraw policemen who help us do our job, and using the same police to deploy the campaign materials in unauthorised locations”.“They are coming to Lagos to disrupt the outdoor business worth about N50billion and which employs about 100,000 people. They have transferred all sorts of people to Lagos State to do their dirty jobs. It is one illegality gone too far.” http://thenationonlineng.net/new/lasaa-orders-tan-remove-jonathan-s-posters/ |
Soldier’s Gun Barrel, Muzzle Pointed at President Jonathan Causes Panic inShare JulesSenior Member There was slight panic at Nigeria's Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration on Thursday when the gun barrel and muzzle of an unnamed Nigerian soldier was reportedly pointed at President Goodluck Jonathan; THIS DAY reports. Narrating the incident, THIS DAY wrote; Shortly after the prayers, the president laid a wreath, followed by Vice-President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Tambuwal, was absent.Jonathan and other top government dignitaries took turn to lay wreaths at the foot of the monument of the 'Unknown Soldier'- a symbolic gesture in honour of the nation's fallen heroes from active military service. However, the drama started when one of the soldiers in the ‘firing party,’ who unfortunately was on the president’s right side, mistakenly got the butt of his rifle entangled in his military uniform, preventing him from lifting the rifle to his shoulder. As the scenario was playing out, unknown to the president, who as custom demands, stood in the middle of the ‘firing party,’ made up of soldiers from all the three services of the armed forces, and was looking straight at the monument of the ‘Unknown Soldier’ opposite Eagle Square.Fortunately, the eagle-eyed security agents were quick to observe that the rifle had tilted the posture of the soldier, causing the barrel and muzzle of the gun to turn towards the president who was standing at the middle of the ‘firing party.’Alarmed, a plain-clothed security agent standing behind the firing party immediately intervened from behind the soldier. He, at first, tried to correct the soldier’s skewed posture and eventually helped to untangle what might have been the lower sling swivel (rope attached to the butt of the gun) from the soldier’s uniform.Instantly, two presidential guards who were standing behind the president’s aide-de-camp (ADC) also moved in quickly to the right flank of the president, placing their body between the president and the soldier, while the 21-gun salute continued as if there was nothing amiss.Calm and unruffled, President Jonathan completed the ceremony by freeing the symbolic white doves and signing the 2015 AFRDC register.#Nigeria |

Fire razes Lagos Berlin Market Posted by Eloti tV on Saturday, 17 January 2015 in Latest News Font size: Larger Smaller Hits: 30 Print More Sharing ServicesBookmark PIN: C0021F74D Please join our BBM channel BY GILBERT EKEZIE, OLUWOLE FAROTIMI AND CHIZOBA IKENWA Barely four days after the popular Balogun market was gutted by fire, another fire yesterday razed major parts of the popular Berlin Market at Marina, Lagos. The wild fire which started at 3am affected over 1000 shops and destroyed goods worth millions of naira, as traders could not remove any of their wares. Though the cause of the inferno could not be confirmed, some of the traders blamed it on incessant power surge. Some of the traders affected cried their hearts out while some forcefully opened their shops trying to save some goods before the fire gets to their shop. Chairman of the market, Mr Christian Igwe expressed shock on the incident, describing it as huge loss to the victims. “It is sad. Infact, I received a call at 5am that the shops under my watch were on fire. Some people said it started 3am. But before I got here, the fire had gutted everything we had including the shop rent paid to me.” He wondered why the incident should occur when there was no electricity supply at that time. “We close here at 7pm. And, we ensure that every appliance is switched off. Infact, for three days, we didn’t have electricity supply. He commended the efforts of the fire service, security agents and other agencies in extinguishing the fire. “They were here early enough. They tried, but the fire was too much for them.” Igwe therefore called on the government to help the traders investigate the incident and ensure that the pepetrators are brought to book Also, Chairman of the, New Plaza located beside the scene, which was affected by the fire, Mr Felix Okpara narrated his experience on the incident. “I was called early this morning that the Plaza behind my Plaza was burning. So, I rushed down here to see everywhere already burnt.” Okpara regretted the incessant fire outbreaks in Lagos and wondered why such should occur. “What is really happening? Why are there fire incidents everywhere? It happened at Ebute-Metta, Balogun Market, Kirikiri and now here within one week.” Okpara also stated that no one could say exactly what caused the fire as it occurred when traders had gone home. “It is unfortunate that most of the fire incidents do not occur when traders are in the shops. We don’t know the cause of the fire because the rumour did not spread. But we suspect that it was planned. I left here at about 5pm on Thursday. And, nobody sleeps in the market, except the security men. Then, what must have caused the fire?” Reacting to the incident, Dr Abimbola Animashaun Odunayo of the Lagos State Building Control Agency expressed surprise that fire could cause much damage. She explained that though the cause could not be ascertained immediately, it could not be unconnected with electricity. Animashaun who arrived at the scene with her team some hours confirmed that the fire affected all the shops due to inability of the fire fighters to have easy access to the market. He advised Lagosians to be careful against fire incidents, as the harmattan season is prone to such. Also speaking on the incident, Head of Operation, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Femi Giwa blamed Lagosians for the continuous fire outbreaks in the state, saying they have refused to heed advise on fire prevention. Also commenting on the fire incident, the Public Relations Office National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye said there was no life lost in the inferno. He lamented that the way the lock-up shops were constructed without enough space and the use of heavy iron to build the stores do hinder the early efforts to curtail the fire before it degenerated. You are here: Home > Headlines > Current Article BUHARI SLUMPS AT CALABAR RALLY By Calabar and Athan Agbakwuru, Increase Abasi-Ubong, Mike Odiakose, Obinna F. Nwachukwu, Owerri / January 8, 2015 / No Comments Incident raises poser over his health status He’s unfit to rule – Fani-Kayode Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, caused a stir in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, yesterday, when he slumped as he was climbing to the podium to give his speech thereby lending credence to concerns being raised lately over his health condition. However, four persons including security aides rushed to the octogenarian former military Head of State, raised him up and led him to the podium where he eventually gave his speech. Our correspondent at the venue of the rally reported that Buhari looked weak and frail while giving his speech and throughout the event. During the incident, there were hushed discordant voices from the crowd of party supporters indicating that the General was probably not in good health condition. According to eye witnesses who spoke to our correspondent under condition of anonymity, “From the way he sat when his convoy arrived, it was obvious that the man does not appear very strong. It could be stress arising from old age as well as fatigue from campaign trips to Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo and now Cross River State.” In a related development, Secretary of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has stated that Buhari is unfit to govern Nigeria. Lately, a lot of concerns have been raised over the health status of Buhari whether he is in good health to withstand the hectic nature of nationwide campaign activities and programmes, as well as the stressful daily demand of the office of the president in an event that he becomes Nigeria’s president. Only January 1, 2015, National Chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN, and Founder of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Dr. Frederick Fasehun, faulted claims in some quarters that Buhari, is the Messiah Nigerians have been waiting for, alleging that Buhari was suffering from an undisclosed ailment that could make the nation worse for it. “We challenge Buhari to declare the true state of his health. What ailment is he nursing in his vital organs? To prevent history from repeating itself, to the frustration of his zone, his kinsmen and indeed all, Nigerians should ask this General to subject himself to an independent medical assessment” he said. Similarly, a notable cleric whose prophetic insights are taken seriously in Nigeria and beyond for their pinpoint accuracy, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, Founder/President of Omega Fire Ministries with headquarters in Auchi, Edo State, has listed Buhari’s health issue as among what God revealed to him as part of 2015 prophecy. He warned that “Buhari’s health needs attention.” But both the General and his campaign team have maintained sealed lips over these allegations, preferring to forge ahead with the campaign irrespective of the health concerns being raised by the public. Buhari unfit to rule – Fani-Kayode Former Minister of Aviation and member of the PDP Presidential campaign organisation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has described Gen. Buhari’s tenure in office as “shameful and disastrous.” He asserted that Nigerians cannot expect any change from a man whose democratic credentials are questionable apart from the “atrocities that he committed when he was in power” against Nigerians. “We believe that it is a struggle between light and darkness. We believe that General Buhari represents the darkness and that President Jonathan represents the light. We believe that General Buhari represents a return to an ugly past which is best forgotten while President Jonathan represents our hope for a greater and better future. “We believe that the APC, on which platform General Buhari is contesting the presidential election, represents everything that is unholy and unwholesome in our society and that the PDP represents all that is decent and good. “We believe that the much-vaunted ‘change’ campaign of General Buhari represents nothing but a change from good to evil. If you want a positive change, you cannot expect to get it from a man like General Buhari whose democratic credentials are questionable and whose record in public office is shameful and disastrous.” “Most people do not remember the atrocities that he committed when he was in power and it is our intention to document them and remind the Nigerian people about them.” “Most people have chosen to ignore the number of things that General Buhari has said and the number of things that he has done over the last few months and years that have brought carnage, division and strife in our society and that prove that he is not the sort of person that can be trusted with power. It is our intention to bring those things to the attention of the Nigerian people so that they can make an informed choice.” “We do not believe that Nigeria ought to be run by a man that is not capable of tolerating dissent or by a political party like the APC that has no sense of remorse, restraint or decency and that is not capable of accepting a plurality of views.” Fani-Kayode also emphasised that the PDP Campaign Media Directorate will not indulge in “the type of cheap propaganda, mudslinging and deceit that the APC and their presidential candidate have been indulging in over the last few weeks and months but” but added a caveat that “it is our full intention to expose General Buhari for what he really is, what he stands for and the great danger that his candidacy portends for the unity of the Nigerian state and the peace and wellbeing of the Nigerian people.” He said the Media unit will comply with the directives of President Jonathan to run a clean campaign that is based on facts, figures and issues. Buhari restates commitment to anti-graft crusade While in Owerri, Imo State for the South-East leg of his campaign yesterday, Buhari, reaffirmed his resolve to fight corruption and insurgency headlong if elected president come February 14. Buhari made the declaration yesterday while speaking during a brief stopover meeting with South-East stakeholders at the Government House, Owerri, the Imo State capital. The presidential hopeful who identified corruption and insecurity as the bane of the nation’s present economy promised to end the malaise, if elected president in order to reposition Nigeria’s economy. Claiming that the current spate of insecurity was not matter of religion or ethnicity, Buhari blamed the unceasing wave of insurgency on the state of anarchy which, according to him, the ruling People’s Democratic Party had bequeathed to the nation since 1999. To tackle corruption, the former Head of State declared that his administration would deal decisively with any corrupt public officer found culpable stressing that a situation where probes are conducted on corrupt public officials and institutions for formality sake would no longer be tolerated. Buhari regretted that several probes conducted by the National Assembly such as the Power probe, were mere shows that produced no result despite huge sums of money wasted on the exercise. He blamed President Goodluck and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the high rate of corruption and insecurity in the land adding that the present administration is paying lip service to the issue of stamping corruption out of the country because it lacks capacity to do so. According to him, the time to save Nigeria’s economy from further fall is now that the people are about changing the ruling party which, he said, had failed because of misrule and insensitivity to the plight of the suffering masses. Speaking earlier, Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, in his welcome remarks told Alh. Buhari that the South Eaat Zone would be made a fertile ground for the first time to enable him win the come February, 14. The governor who jocularly said that he lost the presidential primary election because Imo people prayed against his presidential ambition, requested the APC topmost flagbearer to count Imo as one of the states he would win massively. Okorocha requested the dualization of federal roads in the South East, revamp the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport and expressed optimism that Buhari would win because he is a man well known nationwide for his penchant and successes in combating corruption and insecurity. - See more at: http://nigerianpilot.com/buhari-slumps-calabar-rally/#.dpuf |

it suits Obama, israel is right this time again! |
Screen Shot 2014-10-05 at 4.46.21 PM According to a report on Twitchy, America’s best ally in the Middle East for generations has refused to go along with a request from Samantha Power, America’s U.N. ambassador. The reports have pointedly noted that the U.S. cut off flights to Israel over the recent military activity on the part of Hamas, but has continued to provide flight connections to the Ebola-stricken West Africa. “There’s a little buzz today on this story reporting that Israel has turned down a request from Samantha Power and the United States to provide medical assistance and personnel to Ebola-stricken countries in Africa,” the report said. “Does Samantha Power not see the double standard here? To summarize: the United States canceled flights to Israel earlier this summer because of one errant rocket from Gaza that hit near Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, but now wants Israel to send help to hot-zones in Africa? “Israel was somehow unsafe for air travel, but there are no worries flying Israelis to Liberia or Sierra Leone?” Israel News Now had the post, “Israel rejects U.S. request on Ebola relief in Africa.” Because? Well, “Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon says assisting in medical relief in Liberia and Sierra Leone would risk infecting Israeli personnel.” One blogger put it a little more bluntly. Following a reference to Ya’alon were the words “The hell I’ll expose my troops to Ebola.” But it did have an explanation: “The Foreign Ministry recommended the Defense Ministry respond positively to the Americans’ request, even though it was a complex mission, which runs the risk of infection for medical crews, who would have been forced to wear full [hazmat] suits. … However, after examining the request and mission details, the Defense Ministry decided against Israel’s participation, saying there was no feasible way to provide for the safety of the Israeli doctors and medical crews, which then could return to Israel and further spread the virus.” At Ynet News, it was reported that the U.S. and U.N. wanted Israeli help because of the “past success of the IDF’s field hospital in natural and humanitarian disasters – like in earthquake-hit Haiti or tsunami stricken Japan.” Twitchy noted, “We can’t speak for Team Obama and know if they understand the optics of their request, but Twitter noticed and is asking why flights to Israel are different than flights to nations with Ebola outbreaks.” On that topic, Chelle Belle said, “Obama bans travel to & from Israel but not Ebola nations, because liquid organs & bleeding from your eyes is less bad than hurt feelings.” Zach Hanover added, “Obama grievously suspended flights to Israel during the recent conflict, and now refuses to do it for Ebola.” An anonymous commenter added, “Good for Israel. I’m an American and I applaud Israel for telling Obama to go to hell in public.” The U.S., meanwhile, confirmed on Friday that up to 3,900 U.S. soldiers will be sent to that hot zone for command control, logistics, civil affairs and medical help. Department of Defense spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said the soldiers’ exposure to Ebola will be limited. WND had reported one day earlier that the Pentagon is planning to spend at least $1 billion on the effort, and critics were questioning why Obama was using valuable, highly trained warriors to provide mostly logistical and engineering support for health workers trying to stop the spread of Ebola there. At Friday’s news conference, those answers really weren’t available. Kirby earlier had said the troops would be setting up the infrastructure for an operation that will be run by the State Department’s U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, and the Centers for Disease Control. He said then the effort would not include U.S. military personnel treating Ebola patients. Instead, their function will be in support of other health-care workers who are the experts in the Ebola treatment process. For more click LINK |
