Pigeon Caught Flying Drugs Into Prison A pigeon smuggling cocaine and cannabis into a prison in Costa Rica has been caught by guards. The bird was seen landing in the central concourse of the medium security La Reforma jail, in San Rafael de Alajuela, where it was taken into custody. The drugs were contained in a small zipped up pouch strapped to the animals chest. The guards spotted the bird on Tuesday afternoon as it flew towards an open area of the medium security La Reforma prison. Prison director Paul Bertozzi said: ‘They observed the bulge on the animal so they captured it and confirmed that it carried a bag with zipper – and the drugs were inside… It seems the dove was trained for it.’The pigeon was examined by experts at the ZooAve Animal Rescue Centre who said the bag it was carrying caused some damage to its digestive system.A mugshot of the bird, caught by security officers and taken into custody, was released by Costa Rica’s Department of Justice and Peace as a warning to be vigilant for Narcopalomas. Narcopalomas, loosely translated as ‘drugs doves’, have been used by prisoners and their accomplices in the past– similar birds have been caught in prisons in Colombia, Argentina and even Bosnia.Mr Bertozzi said the pigeon was “nothing new” and that drug traffickers were using “unimaginable ways to achieve their macabre atrocities”. http://cctv-africa.com/2015/08/16/pigeon-caught-flying-drugs-into-prison/ |

5 STRANGE EFFECTS OF TOO MUCH SE X ON YOUR HEALTH The question of how much s*x is too much s*x is really a burning question in the hearts of many young people. It may be wrong to attach a figure to how much s*x is too much s*x, but the moment you start losing your strength & vitality, you may have to watch it. People have different body systems, some stronger and some weaker. For some, having s*x daily may be okay and for others it may be killing. I will personally advise you to watch it when the following starts happening: Five Strange Effects Of Too Much Sex On Your Health – You feel so weak after s*x. I agree that this is a normal feeling, but if you feel so so wasted, not out of physical exertion but internal emptiness, and this feeling lasts for a long while, then you may need to watch it. – If your Erupt feels so watery. This may not be an issue but don’t you think your system needs some rest? – You are begining to lose interest in the activity and you try to avoid it. Maybe avoiding it is the wisest thing thing to do. If you feel you fall under this category, you may need to discuss with your spouse on this matter. s*x is meant to be savoured and if it starts affecting your activities adversely then it is too much for you. To further b*ttress your points while discussing with your spouse, kindly read the following excerpt on the effects of excess s*x from a website below: Effects of Excessive s*x It taxes the body Excessive and constant s*xual activities; which often culminates in over-expulsion leads to over-production of androgen hormones. These excesses could lead to adrenal and s*x organ fatigue. It strains and taxes the body; making the person to look worn out and haggard. It is true that much pleasure is inherent in s*x but over-indulgence does have its effects on the person involved. It is also a known medical fact that Epinephrine, norepinephrine and cortisol are all released during s*xual intercourse and they increase the fight-or-flight response, directly increasing heart rate, triggering the release of glucose and increasing blood flow to the skeletal muscle. All these activities have an immense taxing effect on the body. Weakens immunity Excessive s*xual activities weaken the body’s natural immunity. The hormone prostaglandin E-2, which serves an important function in s*xual arousal, is overproduced when one engages in marathon or excessive s*xual activities and has an inflammatory effect on the body by; damaging tissues, nerves and joints, weakening immunity, causing muscular and nervous pain, and promoting infection, inflammation, and even cancer. Lack of s*xual stimulation/impotence It has been researched and discovered that excessive s*x does lead to chronic elevation of epinephrine and prostaglandin E2 which results in severe damage to brain cells and parasympathetic nerves in the liver, lungs, adrenal glands, heart, blood vessels and some other vital body systems. Consequentially, you might experience a number of symptoms, including depression, anxiety, persistent s*xual arousal and s*xual dysfunction such as impotence and premature expulsion in men and a lack of s*xual stimulation in women. Long term s*xual inflammation All of the afore-mentioned effects of excessive s*xual activities causes the pituitary gland and testicles (ovaries in women) to become disabled for some days or even months, leading to a long-term s*xual exhaustion and inflammation. The first thing you might notice is a tightening or rigid feeling in your muscles and joints anytime you expulsion. It could be really painful. The pain becomes even more severe at about 2-4 hours after Erupting due to the sudden drop of DHEA, testosterone and DHT. You may experience some real pains for a couple of days until your prolactin and cortisol levels are returned to their normal ranges. Could lead to hair loss / baldness Hair loss is a major concern especially among the middle aged and there are many alleged causes treatments for it. However, a lot of people also fail to address a major underlying cause: a high stress physical response sometimes triggered by over-expulsion. At puberty, boys maintain an extremely high level of testosterone and DHT without stress and are therefore able to achieve a full head of hair. As they grow older, men with a high level of DHT and stress lose their hairs. Stress and its induced inflammatory factors in the bloodstream are known to deplete melatonin production during the night and heat up the blood, causing hair loss. Sunday July 26th, 2015 Gowon: Nigeria is better off with igbos source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/gowon-we-are-better-off-with-igbos/ on july 26, 2015 at 6:11 am Nigeria’s wartime leader, Gen Yakubu Gowon, says “Nigeria is better off with Igbos.” He spoke while delivering an oration at the burial service for Chief (Mrs.) Chinyere Asika, wife of the former Sole Administrator of East Central State; just as the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, described the deceased as a woman who exemplified the virtue of patience, charity and humility. The service took place at the All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Onitsha, Anambra State.(FILES)- A March 2, 2012 file photo shows an Ohafia cultural troupe entertaining bystanders during the burial of Nigeria’s secessionist leader Odumegwu Ojukwu at his native Nnewi country home, in Anambra State eastern Nigeria. Odumegwu Ojukwu, who championed the campaign for an independent Republic of Biafra in eastern Nigeria in the 1960s culminating in a 30-month civil war which left more than a million dead was buried at his Nnewi family home in Anambra State. Its name is synonomous with the declaration of independence and updates on the brutal conflict that followed, but nearly 50 years after Nigeria’s civil war, Radio Biafra is again making headlines. AFP PHOTOGowon’s declaration was borne out of a deep appreciation of the commitment and sacrifice of the deceased and her husband, Ajie Ukpabi Asika, to the survival of Nigeria as one entity. The former Head of State recalled that when he proposed the post of Sole Administrator of East Central State, Asika told me, “I prefer to do this for the good of Igbo people.”He went on: “I was struggling to get an administrator for the newly created East Central State when the name of the late Ukpabi Asika came up. He was then a lecturer at Ibadan. When we met, I did not know which one of us was younger. But he exuded strength of character and understanding, and wanted to start work immediately. I cautioned him to think about it. I told him, `you must consult your brothers, and your wife to know if you would accept’. I came away convinced that this was the man I needed.“I did not know how to place his wife, Chinyere, but when she arrived from Kenya, she plunged head-on into the idea. She was a courageous woman, caring and humble. I remember her efforts in “Otu Olu Obodo”- a public service initiative which she used as a tool of empowerment for her Igbo kinsmen and women.”Obiano told the children and the Asika family to imbibe the virtues of patience, charity and humility from Mrs Asika, while urging the congregation and Ndi Anambra to remember “her good deeds and pray for the repose of her soul.”The service was attended by many prominent personalities including a former Minister of Defence, Gen T.Y. Danjuma, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari. Copyright © 2015 Vanguard News Source: www.vanguardngr.com |
