With Semenyo joining Man City, I had four of their players. I sold Foden.
Now with Guehi about to join them, I want to see the miracle that will happen if I have four players from the same club. Guardiola wahala too much. I've never seen a manager influence FPL as he does.

Well, the point is one can't predict who those other three will be. I started last season without Salah. I regretted it.

Going for a balanced squad rather than marquee drafting this season.

At the end of the season, one, or maybe both, of these guys will be in the top 5 highest FPL points earner. Can you live with that? I'll definitely draft Salah. Ait-Nouri might be my goto City guy considering his attacking intents and the way Guardiola's left full backs played last season.

There is no running away from this truth here: I've not been active. I think I've posted only 20 times in the last 5 years on Nairaland, half of that is when I come for FPL codes. Funnily enough, a day doesn't go by without me checking the forum just to catch up - on guest mode.

I saw my team, FC McKane, was asterisked because I'm not a 'regular' on the thread. Firstly, I've been a regular on Nairaland FPL since 2014/2015 and never missed a season since then. I've won the Carling Cup, being a finalist during the FA Cup Deux year and made the playoffs most times I've played in the FA Cup.

Now, as for the activity part, one thing we have to consider is how relatable we are to each other. A lot of the old heads here already bonded from the old days of banters in the sports section. I was a regular in the Sports section when the likes of Coogar and all were there, but I rarely posted. So, I'm not close with guys there. So, how do I banter with someone I have no previous rapport with? You won't get a reply!

Look at the number of pages the thread had last season. It was about 37. We've had seasons with close to 100 pages or more before, but those seasons had something different. Even the most inactive of members participated because everyone gets called out. There was a time when we had a group of guys write, I think weekly or monthly, banter stuff that involved everyone. It's impossible not to respond or participate when your moniker gets quoted.

So, if we want more participation, let's look for something to get everyone involved. There is hardly a week that goes by without me visiting this thread to check on things. But I can't just type or quote someone when I know very well the person doesn't have a previous rapport with me. I tried that once last season, quoting two guys or so. There was no response, and it was understandable.

Out of over 100 guys that participate in the game yearly on Nairaland, how many people do you see commenting here? They are just like me. They come to check the thread but find no one to relate to and then leave. That doesn't mean they do not care.

New season new rule:
Starting from this season we will be having promotion and relegation to make the leagues competitive
The FA cup is the top 1tier h2h league
Carling cup is top 2 tier h2h league
We will be having a third h2h league called conference league for newbies or those that miss out on the top 2 h2h leagues


Note:
From this season, the bottom 4 in fa cup will relegate to Carling cup while the semi finalists in Carling cup will be promoted
Same goes for Carling to conference

I promoted in straight seasons from the Carling Cup to FA Cup Deux and then FA Cup only to miss out on H2H last season because I came late. Well, H2H gives the motivation; without it I ended in 88th position last season.

The reason why nobody is talking about sacking Ole is because of his affiliation to ManU. That guy is no better than Moyes. Even Moyes would've done better if he had a defense line that cost £200m and and a midfield that cost in excess of £250m.
