Mediocrity is not the function of the University but the terrible government-created economic environment and the lack of investment in the educational sector. As at now, Universities like U.I simply provide students that are fed directly to ivy league schools and the global workforce in general. Believe it or not, some first class graduates are given direct PhD scholarships to Oxford and Cambridge. Lots of my friends get Master scholarships to Harvard, John Hopkins and the likes. Most serious Uites, especially those in STEM don't even look for jobs anymore. Get your 2:1, fish for yourself a scholarship and you are good.

This is absolutely true bro.. five years after grad all my guys are world wide, more than 65% of the class are already in ivy league schools in US, UK, Japan etc for their masters or PhD. imagine the brain drain.

Is it not thesame unilorin? Dust everywhere, the students are awkward with boring demeanuor..all in all the school is not that bad sha but not in the league of UI, OAU and Unilag. There is a feeling you get when you enter those schools mehn!! Oau is beautiful but lacks maintenance, Unilag design is wack so i give it to UI....nice faculties, well maintained organized structures with cool big hostels, u need to take a walk around that school mehn..
