For clarification the dictionary definition of rare is: "thinly distributed, not common". Doesn't mean you can't find it. Most GSD owners will agree wth me that this is true. Even here on Nairaland.

Your gsd is a good quality I give u that but why must their be price increment attached to the black ones? considering they re good quality u won't ve problem selling them off at an adequately amount. the color doesn't make it any different from the rest of the litters,does it? or is their a special skills black gsd possess ?

by God's grace, come 21st of November, I would be graduating alongside a thousand others.

yeah, some dogs are like that, it works in this sequence most especially gsds;really cute(0-8weeks)»cute (4months)»less cute(5months)»ugly(7months)»less cute(9months)» cute(1-2yrs up).
if Op knows what's best he should feed the dog wella with high proteinous Food. Gsds tends to be slimmer at Juvenal stage but as soon as they approach adulthood they start bulking up and meaty food needs to be in abundant or otherwise they look more like mongrels.
