am also using note 4x, and the phone is now 2 years on june 1, if not that the phone had really had some bad time falling, with the touchpad now faulty i dont have any intention of changing the phone cause redmi note 4x is really a good device and very strong, by the time i get my new redmi 7, i will still be changing the note 4x screen.

sure, won't argue with that. I wouldn't have upgraded to note 7 either had it been my note 4x wasn't stolen.

gptech is in no position to reply u, he is an ancient in total unity with his beloved note 4x,he doesn't have redmi note 7pro nor own a note 7.

QC Chooses the voltage (v ) and current (A) that it uses by itself in the course of charging, ranging from 5v/2-3A up to 12v/1.5A - - since RN7 is pegged at 18w. It means that the highest voltage and current combination will be 12v/1.5a - which is (12*1.5) =18w.
Had it been that QC4.0 is fully implemented, the phone ought to have accepted 12v/2.25a or 20v/1.35A =27w charging capacity.
Since QC4.0 is backward compatible with Qc3.0 and QC2.0. It therefore means that both QC2.0 & QC3.0 chargers that can also charge at 12v/1.5a can do the job very well on the Redmi Note 7.
There is no point looking for a QC4.0 charger (27w) for your phone because yoir phone cannot draw beyond 18w out of it. That's why you are advised to settle for a far more affordable QC3.0 charger.

mind u the quick charge 4 has two versions, the quick charge 4 nd the 4+. Redmi note 7 came with the quick charge 4 which has 18w rating unlike the quick charge 4+ that handles 27w rating. That's why u find QC3 chargers compatible with the QC4 in note 7 due to fact they both share the same 18w rating. The only difference between QC3 nd QC4, is that QC4 has the first implementation of USB-PD PPS (programmable power supply).

USB PD( power delivery) is a specification for handling higher power ranging from 18w to 100w which allows certain range of devices to charge quickly over a USB connection. So theirs nothing like The QC 4 in note 7 not being well implemented, it's simply just the Version it came with.

Lol, the thief took my problems and he has no idea. At a point i became fed up with the device after it developed that fault, answering calls, listening to music or anything that relates to sound feedback became too technical. Once u make use of earpiece and remove it, every sound coming from the phone becomes dead mute like a mime. To get back sound from the speaker again, I had to do FQC test on speaker to get it working again consecutively.

I didn't, I ve already bought a replacement earpiece port and was contemplating a perfect day to begin my journey to a repair shop to fix it before the phone got stolen.

as in eh, I tried as much as possible to avoid answering calls in public due to the loudspeaker blaring out every conversation m having. To my surprise twas due to certain type of earphone jack with rigid pin that caused the damage to the port and I was using a zircon at that time. After that encounter, I cautious of certain earphone jackal.

no I didn't put it on airplane mode, with data on 4g, it takes 1hr 30mins to charge from 0-100%. and takes about 36hrs to drop to 10% on heavy usage. redmi 7 battery is bae.

One area xiaomi file manager is better than Files by Google: it can easily extract zipped and rar files.

Two areas Files by Google is better than xiaomi file manager:
It helps you to locate and delete duplicate files and
It doesn't show ads

likewise mi file manager if u will disable the ads through the app settings under recommendation option.

Also it means Apple have to find a new company to assemble it's phone since foxconn(they also assemble Xiaomi phones) is responsible for that and is domiciled in china

but FOXCONN is a Taiwanese company with it headquarters domiciled in Taiwan.
