Ever heard of such a thing called constructive criticism? Most guys on nairaland don't know how to give it. Their own is to generalize and bash which is unfair
Constructive criticism is good. But I'm saying guys that bash you or others will not necessarily wreck your finances in a relationship.

Your last point dont fit sha.
When a guy is frank with you all, you see it as humiliation. More so, how does that affect your financial life?
I dare say that those are the kind of guys you should run after if you are going to have a meaningful relationship. The honest ones.

Even if you called this a strategy to drive traffic to that link, that post is just damn too long. Not many will read through and you lost the essence.

Just a little advice young man
As you grow older, know that you don't need nobody to confirm how you feel about yourself. That's not a show of confidence.

Romance / Re: How To Spot Broke Girls Trying Too Hard To Impress by McLeyyin: 1:50pm On May 07, 2016
You can't conclude that a girl is broke with some of these points until you get close enough to see certain other things about her more personal life.
Let me surprise you, I know girls who are okay but could still be found taking pictures of their meals. Not to impress, but to probably keep a memory of a particular food that looks/tastes good. It's not a habit. So yea, don't feel inferior if you wanna keep that picture. I also know that most ladies love to take pictures, so whether taken in a car or at an outing. It don't mean nothing.
Again, girls who are okay use expensive phones and do good make ups. You can only know the broke ones when you get a bit up close.
If a girl really worships her boyfriend like you said, I think it's personal. Whether that is a good or bad thing is another argument. But some girls that are rich still get all ecstatic about there boos.
Point is, these days, these are things that you find girls do randomly. You have to know some other things and maybe how they go about doing them, to be able to conclude which one is broke or not.

it's a point of reasoning to all Nigerians and Africa at large, dat religion affiliation and cultural background should play no role in electing our political leaders
Right. But doesn't mean those in government and even some of the people don't still harbour some fear in that UK. A plan to build the biggest mosque in London has still been put on hold for years. And may still not be approved anytime soon.
Romance / Re: My Experience With A (hungry) Girl During Service. by McLeyyin: 10:19am On May 07, 2016
peedeeasobie:

You are broke sir! Having few thousands doesn't make you 'loaded'.
Does it mean there is absolutely nothing better, you would have done with that money that would have been beneficial to you?

You should listen to his advice.... You wanted to impress the ladies and you came back here complaining.
You can't even force being broke on me brah. Sorry.
Debbywills:
OK,You asked A girl Out on a Date and she came with her friend, That has Automatically change her to a ''Hungry Girl''? Plus, did she come crying, telling you that she's hungry? And I felt You Had Your Own Fair share. Some Stories ain't worth sharing angry
You don't have to rewrite my experience just so you can play victim for her. And I never even at any point concluded she was hungry. undecided
MRBrownJ:

the point is not whether you have money to pay or not, it is about falling for this cheap EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL. that would be as foolish as her telling you:"i know you cant pay for my school fees coz you broke", and to try to impress this animal, you actually pay her school fees (aka foolishly fall for her trick). paying for that lunch is exactly the same trick, and you fail miserably, head 1st, for it
That's the issue. I don't try to impress nobody and definitely not these girls, even if that's what it probably turned out like. The fact that she brought her friend, I didn't see that coming. I simply did what next came to mind. So it's probably easier for you to say after reading even though what you say may the best thing to do.

@McLeyyin
let me not waste your time and be brutally honest with you, and excuse my French (in advance):
these women act in such a way because of donkeys like yourself who want to impress clueless ignorant and miserable women, who have nothing to offer you, and even treat you like garbage.

A) when she mentionned having a "one on one" over a meal, you should have put a stop to her nonsense, right THEN. did it had to be over a meal? shouldnt it be in a quiet place instead, where you could talk? sadly, you wasnt thinking straight and foolishly had coochie on your mind.

B) when she came with her gf, then you KNEW she was taking you for a ride (aka mugu), so why pretending to be cool to something that we already know was killing you? that was the moment you should have acted like a REAL man there is NOTHING wrong with being broke, these women are, and thats why they expect you to pay for their meals, duh! what you should have done is STAND YOUR GROUND and tell this gal the following:" I thought we were meeting to have one on one? as i see you brought your friend along then you guys can go ahead and have dinner while i go back home. i certainly wont entertain you girls for no damn reason. call me later when you are ready to talk... and have a great evening!.
.
You went so hard bro. I think I got your point but first :
Call me all the names but I'm sure NOT a broke person.
Secondly, you do think causing a scene at that kind of place was the best thing? I doubt sha.

lmao aint even about payment for any thing. It was more like I planned a revenge cuz she did that before we got down. Another person may not get a chance at that.
Point is why would a girl bring her friend to a planned date?
Romance / My Experience With A (hungry) Girl During Service. by McLeyyin: 7:09pm On May 06, 2016
Okay I saw this thread
https://www.nairaland.com/3090136/guys-8-ladies-should-avoid
and the third point made me remember this experience I had. Ionno why some girls do this sha. undecided I met this girl during NYSC at ikeja LG. Fellow corper then. She wasn't a hungry girl (or at least she didn't appear to be one) and she's cute. So it was quite easy for me to engage her.My friend even liked her but had to back out for me. I got her contact during cds so we often just chatted. I noticed that she liked me too because even though we chatted almost every day, she still complained I wasn't chatting to her frequently enough. She even deleted me from her list at some point but apologized at our next cds for me to add her back. She probably liked drama. After a while, she started disturbing me to take her out saying things like she wanted us to have a "one on one" over a meal. That wasn't even a problem. So some day, we decided to go to the trinity mall on Awolowo way after cds. I didn't like to wear my uniform about then, so I had to go home first to change into mufti. House was around. I even got there before her so I waited a bit.
To my surprise when she got in, she came with a friend. I was like WTH? To a date that you had been disturbing me for?(in my mind sha). But I kept cool. I asked her to make an order, and of course for her friend too. We talked like I was cool with the whole thing, her friend was obviously someone I would not like to be seen with. To my surprise, they didn't even eat up to a quarter of what was served. She said the food didn't taste good. And I had spent about 18k on the three of us on the meals and drinks. That was almost the equivalent of our FG allowance oh grin Thank God for my ppa though. I dunno if they were forming or whatever. But inside me, I was mad and boiling. I managed to drop them both at Alausa sha where they took a bus. Perfect gentle man abi grin
After that day, I planned to just make out with her once and forget her. And yea, we got down once and I wanted more sha. But we were rounding up and shortly after passing out, she traveled out for her masters degree angry
Now she is still on my list but we hardly talk.
Ionno why girls do certain things cuz obviously this one no be hungry girl. Or could she be okay and still have the spirit of hunger in her?
