Securing a graduate supervisor has been damn difficult

I need help from those that have gotten supervisor.

Thanks, Bro for the swift response. graduated with a distinction in MSc. I have mailed some Professors whose area of interest align with mine but only one has responded so far stating that he's currently not accepting graduate students but he'll forward my application and CV to his other colleagues.

I haven't submitted any application so far cos I have not gotten any supervisor's support.

If you do not mind, I like to bother you with what my Statement of Purpose looks like. thanks

Thanks bro. Your chances of admission for a PhD are dependent on various factors including:

1. Your grade of graduation for both first and second degrees
2. Your proposal or statement of program. Make sure you write a convincing proposal with a standard working bibliography. Don't dwell too much on personal stories (only Masters applicants may need such stories). Simply connect your research to Canada and establish why the school you are applying to is the best option.
3. Support of staff. You may need to mail at least two or three professors in the department and introduce yourself and your research.
4. Your experience as a researcher or teacher

congratulations man. I also want to apply for doctoral admission in Medical microbiology and infectious disease in University of Manitoba and Alberta. please any advise. thanks

Hi guys...

I got a doctoral admission offer with funding at McGill. I'm supposed to resume in September. Is it too early to start processing study permit? If I am given the permit early, does it mean I'll wait till September before I can travel?

What I have so far for the permit
1. Departmental funding letter of CAD 27,000 per annum
2. Employment letter as lecturer and ID card
3. Admission letter
4. Bank statement of about half a million (I don't need this since I have funding)
5. Father and mother's employment letters and ID card (Father works in the same university where I work)
6. Transcripts & certificates
7. CIC forms


I intend to apply using the online route. Are there any tips for me?

THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO SEIZE HIS CERTIFICATE AS LONG AS HE DIDN'T USE FORGED DOCUMENTS TO GAIN ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY.THE STORY HE TOLD ABOUT THE LECTURER IS BETWEEN THE 2 0F THEM.IF LECTURER IS NOT SATISFIED OR THE SCHOOL THEY CAN TAKE HIM TO COURT AND HE CAN EVEN DENY THAT HIS SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLE WAS HACKED.IF I WERE HIM I WILL GET A HUMAN RIGHT LAWYER LIKE FEMI FALANA AND SUE THE SCHOOL FOR A BILLION NAIRA.U CAN'T WITHDRAW CERTIFICATE FOR A NON ACADEMIC ISSUE.

The guys action is defamation of character by falsely accusing a standing lecturer of failing him severally. If his allegations were actually true, the lecturer in question could also lose his Job. "He who comes to equity must come with a clean hand"

Here the department name is Epidemiology and Medical Statistics. Then the various programmes and or Field of interest are
Msc Epidemiology
Msc Biostatistics
Msc Epidemiology and Biostatistics
MPH Field Epidemiology
Medical Demography (am not sure if it's Msc or MPH).

So choose correctly. ..
Your Bsc Microbiology can get you any of the above programmes except for Medical Demography and Biostatistics which am not very sure.

I'm sure they won't give you admission. MSc biostatistics is restricted to those with statistics, mathematics, and computer science alone.

good morning, pls i am willing to apply for UI PG study in MPH in the department of Epidemiology and medical statistics,and the proposed programme is M.P.H in field Epidemiology with the field of interest as Epidemiology. I have B.sc Microbiology, how realistic is this before i continue with my application or which other programme do you think goes in line with my undergraduate field.

I smell corruption in the air

Morning, you guys re complaining about the hygiene and quality of food in your camp.
Have been posted to kitchen here in Rivers but to my surprise the quality of food in terms of the fresh vegetables, okra, Yam is mind blowing. I then find it difficult to add up why the output is low in standard. The only reasonable conclusion is that those women no sabi cook.
I don't know the exact budget per meal for each corpers but rumors have to be around #1500 yet the worth of food giving isn't up to #300

White cloth attire through out, even on sunday, we also barely sleep for long..
