THREE GRADES OF EVIDENCE
We Muslims have no hesitation in acknowledging that in the Bible, there three different kinds of witnessing recognizable without any need of specialized training. These are:
1. You will be able to recognize in the Bible what may be described as "The Word of God."
2. You also be able to discern what can be described as the "Words of a Prophet of God."
3. And you will most readily observe that the bulk of the Bible is the records of eye witnesses or ear witnesses, or people writing from hearsay. As such they are the "Words of a Historian."
You do not have to hunt for examples of these different types of evidences in the Bible. The following quotations will make the position crystal clear:
THE FIRST TYPE:
I. will raise them up a prophet, and will put my words in, and he shall speak unto them that shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:18)
b. even am the Lord, and beside there is no saviour." (Isaiah 43:11)
c. Look unto and be ye saved, all the end of the earth: for am God, and there
is non else" (Isaiah 45:22)
Note the first person pronoun singular (encircled) in the above references, and without any difficulty you will agree that the statements seem to have the sound of being GOD'S WORD.
THE SECOND TYPE:
a. "Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eli, Eli, Lama sabachtani?, " (Matthew 27:46)
b. "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the
Lord our God is one Lord:" (Mark 12:29)
c. " And Jesus said unto him, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one,
that is God." (Mark 10:18).
Even a child will be able to affirm that: Jesus "cried," Jesus "answered," and Jesus "said," are the words of the one to whom they are attributed, i.e. the WORDS OF A PROPHET OF GOD.
"And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he, (JESUS) came, if haply he (JESUS) might find anything thereon: and when he (JESUS) came to it, he (JESUS) found nothing but leaves, " (Mark 11:13) The bulk of the Bible is a witnessing of this THIRD kind. These are the words of a third person. Note the underlined pronouns. They are not the Words of God or of His prophet, but the WORDS OF A HISTORIAN.
For the Muslim it is quite easy to distinguish the above types of evidence, because he also has them in his own faith. But of the followers of the different religions, he is the most fortunate in this that his various records are contained in separate Books! The Muslim keeps the above three types of evidence jealously apart, in their proper gradations of authority. He never equates them. On the other hand, the "Holy Bible" contains a motley type of literature, which composes the embarrassing kind, the sordid, and the obscene - all under the same cover - A Christian is forced to concede equal spiritual import and authority to all, and is thus unfortunate in this regard.
ONE: The first kind - THE WORD OF GOD - is found in a book called The Holy Qur-án.
TWO: The second kind - THE WORDS OF THE PROPHET OF GOD, (Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are recorded in the books of Tradition called The Hadith.
THREE: Evidence of the third kind abounds in different volume of Islamic history, written by some of high integrity and learning, and others of less trustworthiness, but the Muslim advisedly keeps his Books in separate volumes!

Aproko thank you, you posted the best comment in this entire segment. Pilgrims, Denex & Dios were all dragging their asses around baseless issues that are non existence. .I write not to praise your exceptional skills but to advice you on just one. By birth a Muslim is emotionally reactive to his religion, Nigeria Muslim on the other hand are slightly explosive to any thing they consider blasphemy to Islam and our noble Prophet.
What I am saying in effect is that, we should edit and choose topics posted on this forum using language consider offensive is primeval and an indication that some of the people you are dealing with are bunch of lay off. Imagine phrase calling Prophet Mohammed & Jesus “evil” “stupid”. No! No!! No!!!. Even if you are faithless, respect other people belief. Afterall this forum is meant for believers not paganistic or pugilistic views of yeye freethinker or what they call themselves. A new segment should be created where they can exhibit their theoretical and scientifically bullshit. Sorry I lost control
IslamRe: Islam The Religion Of Doom by MCUsman(m): 10:11am On Feb 04, 2008
Islam has a religion has never opted to wipe the state of Israel, before the creation of Israel, Jews were virtually everywhere in the Mideast living peacefully. Prophet Mohammed P.B.U.H. lived among Jews and they were treated equally. If Hamas or Ahmadinajad decide to make such comment, his comment is not a reflection of the remaining 99.9% Muslim. Remember it was Christian Germany that murder 6 million Jews, it was Christian America that denote the atomic bomb in Japan, it was Christian Europe that en slaved more that 10 million Africans. It was Christian Rwanda & Liberia that committed 21st century genocide. Violence is not limited to one religion, as it is been equated to Islam by Christians control media.

The words Christianity, Trinity are concept that can not be found in the entire one thousand one plus different versions of the bible. We Muslim sincerely believe that everything Christ (May the peace and blessings of God be upon him) preached was from God. That was the Injeel, the good news and the guidance of God for the Children of Israel. In his life-time Jesus never wrote a single word, nor did he instruct anyone to do so. What passes off as the "GOSPELS" today are the works of anonymous hands and free thinkers? St. Luke wrote his Gospel not because he was kind of hypnotized by the Holy spirit but because it seem good to him, since everybody is writing even those that are not eye witnesses, in as much as he was a perfect eye witness, he had a kind of feeling he should give a narrative too. See Luke 1 – 4.
IslamRe: Do you have any Question about Islam? by MCUsman(m): 1:33pm On Feb 03, 2008
Charlisco
The answer to your question is Capital Yes. If anybody even a Muslim speaks wrongly against the religion of Islam or the Prophet that amounts to blasphemy should be consider waging war against Islam. However such criticism if presented in a constructive way without any form of hateful, malicious manner, degrading and abusive language should not be consider as such but an open approach to learn about the religion of Islam. As regard your stand, since you do not believe in Islam is that you are consider as a non Muslim. Any who do not believe in the existance of God is consider as a pagan, but christians & jews are called non muslims

, seeing they see not; hearing they hear not, neither do they understand." (Matthew 13:13) .

Compare the history of Islam with the history of Europe, which for centuries was called Christendom. An objective look will show you that Christendom wins by a landslide when it comes to violence and wars. After all, Europe and its offspring did not come to dominate the world, including the Islamic countries, because they practiced the gentle virtues of Jesus.

As for the common practice of cherry-picking Scripture from holy writings and presenting it out of context, just check out what Christians call the Old Testament. There you will find God advocating a double standard of morality, condoning slavery, ordering the Israelites to commit genocide and committing infanticide himself on a mass scale. I don't believe you will find anything comparable in the Quran.
The word "jihad," which is so over-used these days, has, like a lot of words, more than one meaning. It means basically to struggle, but this can be personal or spiritual, or a peaceful political struggle. Only if Islam is attacked are Muslims required to defend it. As for that obnoxious propaganda term "Islamo-fascist," just recall that fascism is a European invention by nominal Christians. To my knowledge, the only fascist governments ever to exist on this planet were all European and nominally Christian.  Another canard is that Islam promotes forced conversion. Not so. Even when the Arab empire was expanding, rarely were any of the conquered people forced to convert. The Quran even forbids it, as I recall. Naturally, once Muslims were in charge, a lot of people decided it was in their own self-interest to convert, but this is just one of the sleazy aspects of human nature.  I remember when Florida elected its first Republican governor of the 20th century. I saw plenty of people crawl out from under their rocks and convert to the Republican Party, drawn by the smell of patronage. With some rare exceptions, human beings always act in what they perceive, rightly or wrongly, to be in their self-interest.  It was Christian Europe that slaughtered the Jews, and nothing remotely resembling the Holocaust is to be found in the history of Islam. In fact, during the past, when Jews were being persecuted by Christian Europe, they frequently fled to and found sanctuary in the Muslim countries. Until Israel was established, practically every Muslim country had sizable Jewish populations dating back centuries. And there are still Jews and Christians in some Muslim countries.  A final suggestion is that when you hear some individual radical Muslim
being quoted, just remember he is one of a billion people and speaks only for himself and his small following. And be wary of the quotations he uses, for they are often deliberately fabricated or distorted. If Islam is a religion for doom why is the Islamic religion tagged the world fasted growing religion on earth. If anybody wants fact on this you can email me on mcusman@yahoo.com or usman4@un.org and I will be glad to send reply back.
