If the north with less population than the south, having 70% of the population below the poverty line, coupled with polio, malaria leprosy infection, an illiterate majority, seen and classified as backward and primitive yet have hold to ransom an educated and highly civilized south with an army of professionals in all field & discipline having control of civil service & private sector.
