Agbalowomeri: Ideally, one would expect the company to bid up UPDC price for the proposed right issue But since UACN would be paying the majority share, it pays them to pay less for an increased stake for their shareholders If I get you right, UACN is a majority shareholder in UPDC, thus, getting higher stake at cheaper price is a plus for them shey? Like boosting their capital base? If that's d situation, I better still hold on to my tashere units of UACN then, cos it will benefit them in the medium to long run. Thanks sir. |

Valueinvestor: Another juju stock, cant really predict what the management could do.it has been doing fairly well in recent times, supported with good numbers.Does not really have too much competitors in its sector.Has been consolidating well around 4.00,thousands lucky to pick some at 3.87.A good end of year result to send it to the skies. One of the coys whose share price is being punished by Mr. Market, its a coy any dividend lover should have in their portfolio .................... my opinion though. |

Vitafoam got patronage in the early trading hours. Their FYE is September. In the last financial year, a dividend of 25k in addition with 1 for every 5 shares held was paid as dividend to shareholders. Holders of vitafoam shares are among the shareholders in NSE......and not shellholders. *NB: Not MH, just an observation. |

To be honest, that coy, UACN is a great cash asset. It just needs a little twist and twerks here and there to set a great growth pace. Glad the current management are now doing things RIGHT !! It is well. Wow! With right thinking management, UACN will return to the giant it's suppose to be. Thanks Oga gentle somebody. |

onegentleguy: Given the current position of their financial print(balance sheet position in view) in relation to their present equity prices, the following coys could be future candidates for a merger, aquisation or take over/buy out:
NEIMETH PHARMACEUTICALS, CHAMS, FO, GLAXOSMITHKLINE NIG, COURTVILLE, TRANEX(trans-nationwide express), UNIONDAC and BERGER PAINTS. On a side note, a few coys in the financial services sector, particularly the INSURANCE segment 'could also be up for grabs'... so watch that space !!. Japaul, Portland paint, uniondicon, vanleer, tripplegee, thomaswatt, nnfm, multiverse, e-transact......... Chai! The carcases plenty ooo. ** Just my opinion, looking at their level of inactivity on the exchange. Aside japaul** |

I want to sell the shares and I'm told as at yesterday Transcorp was selling for #1.04 which means my 1000 unit shares are worth only #1000 or so. Is my broker right? If the stock is transcorp, your broker was right. Its current price is 1.02 naira. |
