I am not sure Bonus has been distributed yet.

I just feel investors don't want to buy above N1 before reconstruction.
You may be right.
I don't think either......that's why I said 'insider'.
As for me anyway, any price N1 or below is okay. Those guys may be planning something, who knows.
Also,I expect anyone that purchased before markdown to average down.

MTN:
In my opinion and from the look of things, this stock might still move up small from current price.
The price of Airtel seems to be working magic on MTN.

MANSARD on red
Are you factoring-in the bonus at all?
I want to believe some insiders are already getting their bonuses, hence the sell off that halted the north movement.
I felt they will try and beat the price down thru those selling, then come back to pick again at bargain........this is just my opinion anyway.

IYGEAL:
Other than selling back to Alhaji, why are people buying Dangcem?

Alhaji's boys stated they are under no obligation to buy all units of Dangcem on offer; so it's either we buy and hope to sell back to ourselves or hope ours is part of what the boys from Alhaji will buy via Meristem and the other broker.
Meanwhile, what if the boys have already taken units from willing sellers, enough to fulfill the current required tranche?
I don't expect any serious bargainers to buy Dangcem now.......in my opinion, they pumped/are pumping the price already.

If anyone will recall, Alhaji's guys picked massive units at 120 when market was down. I can remember echoing it here too.

Whosoever will follow them now is taking a huge risk. We can only be watching them performing their magic from the sideline.

Well I wish the price stay below N1 till reconstruction.

The price cant stay below N1, they may push it above 1.50, or around the price it was......before the bonus announcement.
Anything to make the share reconstruction worth it.
I want to believe that some moneybags are here with intention to make profits too.
This is just my opinion.

NSEMPA Elders oya lets try our luck
Please note that I'm not in any way advising anyone to buy Japaul. Don't have strength for any argument.

What I'm saying is: Nsempas can stay away from Japaul but once JP is ready for manipulations, they don't need you.......get me right.

You and the elders should go and try out your luck with dangcem and leave JP for the players.

Do you know the Market can adjust the price below N2 after reconstruction?

I experienced this with C. I Leasing.

Note: I am loaded here. grin grin grin
That would be in the course of trading but initial share price calculation after reconstruction will definitely be more than the nominal value amount.

They need our money but not me and you. grin grin grin
They don't need our money, if you're smart enough, you chop with them.
How many people can take the risk of buying 500,000units of dangcem at 230 or even 1M?
Na dem dem my brother........
We can only get crossed in their manipulations out of greed or ignorance.......that's the way I see it sha.
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 10:32am On Dec 21, 2020
OBAGADAFFI:
Share reconstruction. 4 to 1
If you have 1000units, you will get 250units after reconstruction.
1000/4= 250

Now,
The nominal price will be N2 instead of 0.50k

Calculate your risk.
1000 x N1(current price)= 1000
250 x N2(new price)= N500
You only talk about the nominal value, what about the real value of share after reconstruction?
Your calculation is one-sided if I may say.

I asked a Stockbroker(Friend) if I can buy into Japaul Gold at least to make Tasere change before new year.
He said,I shouldn't buy yet that the price appreciation is currently being manipulated so as to push the share price up for their right issue.
He told me to patiently wait for the 2020 audited result before jumping in as Chief Paulo is fond of using foreign alliance and partnership to bamboozle investors.
According to him,no fundamental to support the share price even at 20k
Okay.
Seems you assist in advertising JP the more. Lol.
"Fond of using foreign investors to bamboozle investors". Hhmmm........maybe one day, the thing go become true. When? No one knows........
One thing is this: If Japau decides to manipulate, they don't need me and you........just like dangcem is currently doing.... lipsrsealed

**PS: No one should quote me, just sharing my opinion too**.

Well said. Q1 2021 will likely present entry opportunities because about 1 trillion will be moving to NTB, between December 31st and March.
The NTB that's still un-enticing?
No one can accurately predict market direction judging from the current look of things. Though, much better to be cautious.
For now, we keep following the direction as Mr. Market leads......
